Is She Alright? {Private}

[Nicolette]

Brittany Hale led the student carrying the girl into the Nurses' Office, letting the door shut gently behind her as she held it open for the male. The door was unlocked, though, for any students who needed assistance. She instructed the boy to lie the girl on the cot near the back.

She took a wash cloth and got it wet with cold water before she walked over and placed it over Haruka Amagi's forehead. She then moved back to her desk and moved to the counter behind, looking inside before she took out a packet of crackers. She walked back over and set them down on the little table next to the cot.

"When she wakes up, have her eat some of these."

[Faye]

On their way to the nurse's office, Rai couldn't help but keep staring at Haruka's lifeless face and how frail she looked. It was like carrying a feather, she was so under-weight. He felt bad about not doing much but he didn't want to push her away from him in the process, but then he also didn't want her to think he didn't care, either. Oh it was so complicated! Ugh. Staying in one spot wouldn't do much good, as well.

He nodded to Miss Hale and laid Haruka's body gently down on the soft cot provided by the school. He gently lifted her head and slid the pillow underneath it, slowly letting her head rest against the fluffiness of the pillow. He brushed some of the hair out of her face and took the crackers that Miss Hale had given to him, "Sure thing," He said quietly, his normal tone had completely disappeared due to what had happened.

He placed the crackers beside Haruka and turned back to her, watching with great anticipation.

Brittany placed a hand on the boy's shoulder, squeezing it in a comforting manner before she walked back over to her desk. She took a seat and logged into the health database for the school. She would get the girl's information with she woke up. She decided to busy herself in updating the information on a few students she had attended to earlier.

It was about five or so minutes before Haruka's dark eyes fluttered open behind the lenses of her glasses. She blinked a few times and her eyes moved around to look at the ceiling of the room. Where was she and how did she get there...?

She brought herself to slowly sit up and bring a hand to her forehead, letting her fingers brush up to run through her dark locks, before opening her eyes again and looking at the male sitting next to her cot.

"A-ah...Ra...Aikaryu-kun..." She nearly used his first name, as she had softly uttered earlier, but she wasn't sure if it was appropriate after the events of earlier. She swallowed hard and looked down, a look of guilt crossing over her features. There was a long silence before she spoke again.

"Please forgive me..."

[Faye]

Rai gave Miss Hale a gentle smile but it was weak and he immediately turned back to Haruka who was just lying there, barely breathing and motionless. He hoped that nothing serious was going to be wrong with her, he hoped that a bit of food and water would tie things over so she could stand, think and walk properly. He swallowed and rested his elbow on the bed while his other hand was over hers, his thumb softly rubbing against her soft, cold skin.

The sound of her weak voice startled Rai and he nearly jolted backward but it brought a brighter smile to his face, he gripped her hand a bit more by accident, he knew it would probably be inappropriate but he didn't quite realise that at the time.

"Haru-chans... You're okay..." He said, the warmth and happiness returning to his voice. "Don't worry about before... Miss Hale wants you to eat these... Okay?" He let go of her hand to pick up the crackers Miss Hale had given him and he withdrew on from the packet to hand to Haruka, hopefully she would accept. She really needed the food and the energy in her.

Haruka's hand felt warm and it tingled a little as she moved it and looked at it. Had he been holding her hand...? She mentally shook the thought away as she reached her hand out and took the packet. She might as well munch on sometime to keep herself from passing out... She was just afraid of getting sick. She hated the pain of her stomach protesting, and the burning of her throat as the food came back up.

She opened the packet slowly and took one of the crackers out, reaching it up and taking a bite out of it. She chewed and swallowed before licking her lips a little and turning her attention to Rai.

"You brought me here?"

[Faye]

The smile upon his features only grew when she willingly took the packet of crackers and began eating them, an immense amount relief flew over him and he felt far more relaxed now. She wasn't going to pass out if she kept eating those crackers, if she felt up to it he might go take her to get something else just to save her stomach a bit more so she could get through the night... At least.

Since both her hands had moved and were now occupied with the packet of crackers, Rai sat on a chair pulled up against the bed and had rested his elbows on the bed and folded his arms, "Yeah, I did, I carried you here when you collapsed.. Lucky Miss Hale was nearby when I ran back over to you," He answered, feeling greatly relieved that she had been around, although he didn't find it very comfortable to be around her while she was wearing such a short skirt and had obviously tried her best not to flash him. He pushed that out of his mind, he was not a pervert!

Besides... Haruka was sexier. Yes. She was. Definitely.

[Nicolette]

"Are students talking about me?" Brittany asked as she stood from her desk. She thought she had heard her name earlier, amongst the language they were speaking...And then she heard it again. She was sure of it. She walked over to where she saw the dark haired female eating the crackers she had been given and offered her a smile. "Quite a fall you took. How do you feel?"

"A little light headed, but my vision is clearing and nothing is spinning... I should be fine after this." The girl rose the packet.

"When was the last time you ate?"

Haruka had been dreading that question. If she had been with Miss Hale alone, then it wouldn't have been too hard to answer... But with Rai right next to her... She swallowed hard and shoved another cracker in her mouth to buy herself some time before she slowly chewed and swallowed. She licked her lips again and looked down at her lap, looking at the near empty little packet in her hands.

"Three nights ago, I ate dinner with my roommate... Since then, eating slipped my mind as I had far more important things to focus on."

Brittany frowned a little. "Do try to make some time to get a bite to eat sometime during the day. It'll prevent episodes like this from occurring again." At Haruka's small nod, she continued. "What's your name? I need to enter that you visted the office and that I will be sending you back to your dormitory for you to get some rest."

Haruka was quiet for a moment before she let out a sigh. There would be no use in arguing with a staff member.

"Haruka Amagi." She replied before spelling it out. Brittany nodded before heading back to her computer, entering the name in. There had only been one other visit to the nurse's office that Haruka had, and that had been at the beginning of her seventh year because she got hit with a volleyball during the physical education class.

[Faye]

Rai blinked a bit, surprised at Miss Hale coming back into where they were. He was mainly surprised that she could hear them, but obviously didn't know what about since they were speaking Japanese and Rai had only used English to say the nurse's name. He blushed a bit, feeling bad about talking about her but it wasn't anything bad. Before he could say that, however, she continued on talking to Haruka about the episode.

Then.. Haruka's word cut him deeply, she really hadn't eaten for three nights? He was highly disappointed in her... How could she not want to care for herself like she should be? Not eating could have dangerous affects on someone.

He sighed and took her hand in his again, absentmindly, rubbing it softly with his thumb, he didn't say anything and just waited for her to talk to him again. He honestly had no idea what to say to her, he wasn't angry at her for not eating, he just wished she would take better care of herself.

[Nicolette]

Haruka turned her attention back to the boy next to her, noting that he had taken her hand and was gently stroking it with his thumb. Her eyes softened and she focused her eyes on her hand held in his for a long moment before she turned her attention to look back up at him.

"Thank you..." She said softly, a small smile slipping onto her lips. She used her free hand to take another cracker and she ate it. Soon, the packet was empty and she moved to discard it in the wastebasket next to bed.

She moved her legs over the edge of the bed and she moved her hand to grip Rai's hand, her eyes gazing up at him. "C-..Could you help me up...?" She asked, her voice hesitant and sheepish.

[Faye]

He was pleased at the fact that she hadn't protested or jerked her hand away while he was rubbing it gently with his thumb, it felt nice to do this to her and try and comfort her in any way that he could. Even in disappointment he was still going to try mend things back together and forget about what happened in the hall.

He let go of her hand as she started to stand up and shifted his plastic chair across so he could stand up and also help her stand properly "Of course," He said with a smile as he took her hand once more and lifted her gently up off the soft mattress of the cot and let his arm hang behind her, not touching her, though, just so if she fell backwards, he could catch her.

"Thank you so much, Miss Hale," His attention then swerved back to Haruka, warmth laced throughout his eyes and features, "Would you like to head off now, Haru-chans?" He had finally gotten used to switching back and forth between English and Japanese but he often slipped up... At least it was nothing like when they were at MacDonalds when he just assumed she understood it.

Haruka swayed a little as her vision cleared and her body focused on getting ready to stand properly. She blinked a few times before nodding to let Rai know she was alright.

"Make sure she gets back to her dormitory alright." Brittany said, as she wrote out a slip to let them leave the school grounds. She handed it to Rai as they started toward the exit of the office. "Take care of yourself, Amagi."

Haruka nodded as she left the office with Rai. However, outside, she turned her attention to Rai, her eyes wide and a little scared.

"M-my laptop..." she started, her voice shaking as she realized it had probably been left behind when she was taken to the nurse's office.

[Faye]

Even though she had signalled to him that she was alright, he still kept on his toes about how she was, if she were to fall again and he couldn't catch her, he would never be able to forgive himself, so he was going to keep a close eye on her.

He took the slip from Miss Hale and folded it up into his back pocket and took Haruka by the hand as they exited the nurse's office, "Haru-chans.. This doesn't mean anything but it's only so you can use me for balance if you need too, okay? No arguments, either..." He said the last sentence rather playfully but the mood soon disappeared as she mentioned her laptop.

"Oh shit..." He cursed, trying to find the best way to get there and quickly, too. He turned around, "Okay, jump on my back, it'll be faster that way," He bent down a little bit and waited for her to climb on.

[Nicolette]

Haruka bit her lip, but she knew she didn't have much time to dwell. She took a few steps forward and positioned herself on his back, wrapping her arms around his neck and hooking her legs over his arms so he could carry her.

She held on tight, burying her face in his shoulder as he started to move quickly down the hall. She hoped no one had come into the halls since their stuff had been left behind.

[Faye]

As soon as she got on her back, he positioned her comfortable on his back so her legs wouldn't dig into his sides and began moving rather quickly back down to the library where they had left their stuff. On the way they had passed a lot of students who were giving them very queer and confused looks but there was no time to explain. Rai knew full well how much that laptop meant to her, oh he should of remembered it and picked it up!

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Within a few minutes, they had reached the hall that was near the library where they had once been. He came to a stop and gently let Haruka off his back, a sign of relief falling over him once again. "Aaaah.. good, it is still there," He knelt down to pick it up and hand it back to Haruka, "That was lucky.. Eh?" He flashed her a cute smile.

[Nicolette]

Haruka felt so overcome with joy when she saw her laptop where it had been left. Tears filled her eyes and she flung herself forward, colliding lightly with him as she wrapped her arms around his middle and buried her face in the crook of his neck for a moment.

"Oh thank God..." she whispered, taken over by the vanilla scent that was the scent of Rai. She felt her cheeks warm up, though, when she realized this and she slowly stepped back, looking down a little as she blushed and reached out for her laptop.

"S-sorry..."
