Is She Alright? {Private}

[Nicolette]

Everything felt so warm...

It felt like the darkness had been chased away. She did dream, but it wasn't of anything in particular. She was lying in a field of flowers, looking up at the sky and turning clouds into pictures in her mind. Next to her was Rai, and between them, they were linking index fingers. No words were exchanged and a warm silenve lingered over them...

And Haruka was smiling.

In the real world, Haruka shifted a little to get comfortable when he shifted, but other than that, remained still and quiet.

[Faye]

The smile did not disappear from Rai's lips as he watched the movie on television, in fact, he felt his jaw start to hurt from keeping it there so long but it was just so difficult to stop, here he was, sitting on Haruka Amagi's couch, watching her television with her asleep on his chest while they linked index fingers. It felt so warm and--

"Harukaaaaa~ I'm back" Came a loud female voice from the entrance to the dormitory. Rai nearly leapt right out of his skin and had nearly twisted his whole body around to see that Faye had arrived home. He stole a glimpse of the time and noticed that it was after school already. Craaaaap...." He thought to himself. He turned back to Haruka to see that she was going to basically fall onto his knee if he didn't move her, so he did. He gently lifted her head and shifted her so that she was rested against the cushion.

Faye, who had just put her things down on the bench just noticed that he was in their dormitory. "Eh!? Who are you!?" She demanded, pointing dramatically at him. Rai trembled and his voice was shaky, "Uhh... my name is Rai Aikaryu... I just came up here to make sure Haruka got back to her dorm--" Once again he was cut off by Faye. "Ooooh~! So you're Rai~!? Surely the level of her voice would of woken Haruka up by now...

[Nicolette]

It was surprising that Faye's voice didn't wake her up at first, but the two voices combined caused the Japanese girl to stir. She let out a sigh as she opened her eyes and brought a hand up beneath her glasses to rub at her eyes for a moment before she yawned and sat up straight, turning her attention to Faye to give her a blank stare.

"Ah, you came straight home." She said in a flat tone.

[Faye]

"Haruka has been talking about you~ I heard about your little midnight walk with her~" She teased, Rai only scoffed and gave her a quick glare. It was no doubt these two will argue a lot in times to come, if they ever met up again.

Rai was the first to sense that Haruka was waking up, due to his clairaudience abilities he had heard her stir and groan a little from being woken up from her slumber. He felt incredibly horrible about waking her up. BUT, it was Faye's fault. All of her fault. Yup. It didn't take long for Faye to noticed either, though, since Haruka had directly spoken to her. "Yeah, but I'm not here for long.. I just came to pick up a few things, but... Why is he here, Haruka?" She asked her.

"I'm here be--" Again, cut off. Faye brought her finger to her lips, symbolising she wanted him to be quiet, "Shush, I asked her, not you," She hissed back at him as she turned her attention back to Haruka. Rai pouted and folded his arms and muttered things to himself.

[Nicolette]

Haruka watched the exchange between the two and could almost feel the tension between the two. They didn't seem to get along well... This didn't settle very well with Haruka, but she ignored the feeling as she heard she was addressed. She looked to the purple haired girl and brought a hand up to brush some bangs over her forehead.

"Ah, he walked me to the dormitory..." The girl turned to Rai and reached over, patting his hip and making him move so she could reach in his back pocket and take out the note. It was a bold move, but she didn't care at that point; she could be quite the bold person.

She rose the note and held it out for Faye to take. "That is a slip from Miss Brittany Hale, the school nurse... I passed out at lunch and Rai escorted me here to make sure that I wouldn't pass out again."

[Faye]

Rai blinked and moved a bit when she patted his thigh so that he would move. A soft pink blush scattered along his cheeks as she reached into his back pocket for the note the nurse had given them to give them permission for Rai to follow her into the girl dormitories.

Wait.

She basically felt him up!

The blush darkened.

She passed out? A wave of curiosity and worry fell over Faye as her expression faded and changed to go with her new set of emotions running through her. "Wow, really...? Are you alright, now?" She asked, concern laced through her voice, her voice had softened as well, and was not a loud, irritating tone like before.

"Yeah... So I'm technically allowed in here," Rai said quietly as Faye nodded, agreeing with them. "Well, take care of her, please, Rai, I really have to get going now..." With a wave she picked up the various things she needed for Juno and her's outing and left the house again.

Rai sunk into the couch and sighed deeply. "Wow... I thought she wouldn't leave..."

[Nicolette]

The girl ran her fingers through her hair, letting out a sigh and falling back against the couch. She brought her hand to her glasses and slid them off, shutting her eyes as she rubbed her temples lightly. Faye was her friend, sure... but the girl could be quite a head ache.

"I apologize for that..."

[Faye]

Rai turned to her. "No, no, don't apologise, it isn't your fault at all," He gave her a warm smile and turned to the television to see that he had completely missed the end of the movie he had been watching before Fay barged on in demanding a whole truck load of things before buggering off to probably go see that friend of hers...

He screwed his face up and picked the remote back up in his hands and began scanning the channels again. "You can go back to sleep if you want..." Something inside of him kind of wanted her too, so that they could go back to the positiont they were before they were interrupted. He absolutely adored the feeling he got holding her index finger with his and being so close to her.

[Nicolette]

Haruka opened her eyes and looked at the blurry image that was Rai. She blinked a few times, but her vision (of course) didn't really clear up. However, she didn't quite want to put her glasses back on right now.

"Ah...It would be rude to fall asleep with a guest here. I apologize for doing so earlier... I suppose I dozed off while I wasn't paying attention..."

[Faye]

The smile spread across his lips grew a bit when she said it would be rude. He turned back to the television and saw that there was hardly anything decent on there right now so he turned it off with the remote and placed it back down on the coffee table, gently. "Well, if that's the case... What would you like to do?" He asked, softly, eyes full of happiness to see that she was going to be okay.

[Nicolette]

"Ah, that I'm not quite sure of either."

Haruka thought for a moment, though nothing came to mind. She brought up a hand up to rub her eyes a little before she finally slipped her glasses back on, blinking in order for her eyes to adjust to the lenses of her glasses and focus.

"I apologize that I am such a boring person..."

[Faye]

Rai scoffed. How dare she say she was a boring person? Hmmph, she was far from being boring. He folded his arms tighyl across his middle and pouted a bit, "If you were so boring, then how come I want to spend so much time with you?" He had never actually said out loud that he liked to spend time with her or anything. Quite often he would think it but saying it out loud always scared him, he didn't know what Haruka would think.

[Nicolette]

Haruka's cheeks turned pink at the comment. He enjoyed spending time with her...? That was definitely something she hadn't heard said aloud before. Hell, she wasn't even sure if other people had ever thought it before. She couldn't help but smile a little before turning to look at Rai, her smile turning into a smirk.

"Probably because there's something wrong with that brain of yours." She said, reaching forward to tap his temple with her index finger.

[Faye]

Rai stuck his tongue out as she poked the side of his head with her finger, he unfolded his arms and relaxed a little bit from his playful upset mood he had staged just before. "Nah uuuh... It's perfectly fine. I just like to spend time with you." There, he felt more confident in saying it now. It was true. He enjoyed most people's company but Haruka's was just that much more enjoyable. "Why wouldn't I, hmm?"

[Nicolette]

Haruka's eyes softened as she looked over the boy's expression, trying to find a flaw that would tell her that he was lying... But there was nothing. His eyes were shining, there was a smile on his lips... Nothing betrayed the words he spoke. Could someone seriously be saying what he was saying to someone like her? A painful tug at her heart caused her to tear her eyes away from his expression and turn her body so she leaned her back against the couch, bringing one hand to gingerly touch her other arm.

"A better question would be why would you enjoy my company? I really am nothing special. I've always been defective. Why else would they have tried to...." Her eyes locked on the coffee table as she fell silent.

How could she have been so foolish?! What the hell was she thinking? No one could know the things that happened to her. She stood up and paced over to the window, looking out it as she tried to control her breathing. She brought her arms to wrap around herself, as if to try to keep herself together.

"Damnit..." she muttered under her breath.
