Adrian stuck his tongue out at John, ”Thats right, too wordy. It’s my job to run on non-sensically and eventually after much debate with myself, sticky my foot it my mouth. You are supposed to sit, look pretty and open the door for me, occasionally pointing out slipping hazards and other such useful information.” He held his head up with his nose in the air as he teased John.
He stepped over the puddle quickly before John could manage to follow, he destroyed his feigned air of superiority by glancing back to make sure John was still there. He bit his lip and grinned a bit, ”well, you are supposed to be leading the delicate and innocent child back to his room and making sure he isn’t destroyed by shift in the wind... well, since that’s possible we should go with something else, more likely not to be caused my angry Sylphs.”

John let his mouth hang open agape for a moment when he heard Adrian's argument, letting out a laugh and walking in through the door after him, placing his hands on his hips. "Sit, look pretty, and open doors for you? I think I have the look pretty down pat if I do say so myself...but sitting and opening doors? Not so sure I've got those parts down yet. "
Crossing his arms over his chest as Adrian's air of superiority disappeared, he only grinned. Alright, so he may have overreacted a little when it came to the sylphs earlier. Or maybe he didn't. He wasn't sure, but he did what he thought was best at the time, and that was to try and protect Adrian. It was in his nature, in his personality, to protect people. "Well this oh so innocent and delicate child spurred on those winds himself. So I think he can handle walking in front and leading the way." He held his hand out in front of him, inviting Adrian to lead the way with the playful air about him and the grin upon his lips.

(sorry... a bit of writers block... I don't know HOW somone ca write an actual book...)
Resisting the urge to stick out his tongue Adrian took the lead, but first, he slipped off his soaked shoes and socks. Pre-empting any comment from John Adrian explained himself, ”This oh so innocent and delicate child who has angered the winds, doesn’t like the feeling of wet socks. Besides, shoes are for people ashamed of their toes.” He wiggled his after he stood up, studding the socks into his shoes and holding them in one hand. After this, he finally made progress on the great voyage back to his room.
He undoubtedly took the long rout, prolonging the evening. He wasn’t quite sure what this evening was supposed to be, but he was certain he was enjoying it. But now, he wasn’t sure what to say, he didn’t think it was an akward silence, in fact... it was probably pretty comfortable... but he didn’t like silence on the principle of the thing... possibly one of the reasons he tended to go on... and on.

( Lol it's okay, everyone gets writer's block )
John had laughed, opening his mouth to ask Adrian what he was doing but was quickly silenced when Adrian had explained himself. He let out another laugh, crossing his arms over his chest and shrugging a bit. Alright, that was a perfect explanation for taking off his socks and shoes. John, however, was not ashamed of his toes. He just did not like walking around barefoot, is all. Yeah, he wasn't ashamed of his toes... was he?
Walking behind Adrian, he could not help but notice that Adrian had taken the long route back to their rooms. He laughed within his head, a smile on his lips. That was happening a lot this evening, he just kept on smiling. He just had a ... excellent evening, is all. He felt great. Who wouldn't after the night he head? Seeing the number to his dorm out of the corner of his eye, he slowly came to a stop near the door next to his own. This was Adrian's room. How he had missed Adrian this entire time surprised him... but then again he really never payed attention when walking in the halls of the dorm. That and when he was inside his dorm, he ... tended to stay by himself. The dorms were like small apartments, after all, and he was fine by himself for hours on end. Looking to Adrian's door, he let out a soft sigh, but still having the smile on his lips. "Well then, I think this is goodnight. I'm going to.. go slip into some dry clothes so I don't catch a cold. I had a nice evening, Adrian. Thanks. "

Adrian was startled when John spoke, not because of the communication, but because they were already at their doors... he had thought this particular hallway was longer. Apparently, it wasn’t. So when he saw John was stopped, he couldn’t help but feel a little glum. He lived moment to moment really, and he had liked the last moment better. But he was resigned to just go with it... so he headed to his door and took out his keys, turning back before actually opening it.
”So I geuss I’ll see you tomorrow?” He bit his lip for a second, then quickly tacked on ”Or not! I mean, I might not see you tomorrow, or well... I might. But really it’s irrelevant because well I mean, we live kinda close to each other, so avoiding someone would be difficult. Not that I am saying it would be impossible to avoid me, because I wouldn’t follow you or anything. I mean if you really insist on it, I could give you a timetable and try to stick to it... even though I’m not good with schedules. But I would totally try.” He bit his lip to stop himself from talking, blushing more now that he had all night.
Not sure whether he wished he had of gone into his room when he had the chance, he closed his eyes and just said what he wanted to say. ”Did you wan’t to... hang out sometime... again... on a separate occasion. I mean, with me?”

John's smiled seemed to glow even more as Adrian began to ramble once more. He did tend to ramble a lot, but instead of telling him to shut up this time, as that ended badly last time, he would just listen until he was finished. He couldn't ramble for that long could he? Besides, he was cute when he rambled, and he was even blushing!!
"Before I even answer that... I wanted to let you know that.. I would like your schedule so that I could run into you.. I wouldn't ever want to avoid you. Living this close to you I might even stop by one night without fair warning. Now as for that second question... I'd love to hang out again sometime. With you, of course. " Winking to Adrian, John took his keys from his pocket, unlocking his door. Turning to look at Adrian once more, he only laughed. "Well then, I guess I'll see you tomorrow, eh Adrian? I'll definitely try and pass by your room or by you before I head to class. G'night."
He smiled, waving to Adrian before walking into his room and closing the door behind him.

Adrian leaned back against his door with relief as John answered his questions. The answers were exactly what he wanted to hear, but he couldn’t help but blush furiously. He was excited at the prospect at seeing John again... but he really wished he had the guts to say something a little more direct. Something that he would have no trouble interpreting. Because he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to realise whether there was anything more than friendship between them. He wanted there to be... but he couldn’t tell.
Shaking himself out of his inner thoughts, he turned to unlock and open his own door. Dropping onto his bed, wilfully forgetting the fact that he was still soaked, he focused on the evening. He had really enjoyed himself, John was... pleasant to be around. Eventually he fell asleep to those thoughts, leaving an undine -who had been spying watching over him since the rain- to dry him off and make sure he didn’t catch cold.
{CLOSED}(... right?)
