Vasilisa smiled a little when he gave the short laugh. Even if he was laughing at her it still felt nice to make someone laugh. She didn't say anything for a while after his second comment. She gave a small sigh then. "Maybe....but how many people really go through with trying to make things better. People get so...comfortable with how they treat others and with the patterns they set. Even bad habits are hard to break...just because people don't stay true to what they say."

She had a point. And Adrian didn't like it one bit.
"Those people need to sort themselves out. Sitting around and letting things happen to you and not getting out of your comfort zone is ridiculous. Only you can change things in your life," He felt like the sunset and sunrise subject had completely disappeared now. Was he really going to argue with her about this? Well, he had his side and he was sticking to it, if he made the effort to try change his life by talking to people more and being more open and forget everything that happened in the past then people like that could do the same.
There was nothing to complain about. Only people who wanted the attention did those things. He scoffed at that though, pathetic people. He nestled into the seat he had made between two giant tree roots and continued gazing up at the darkening sky, he wondered when she would realise it was getting rather dark... Maybe he'd walk her back to the dormitories.
Wait, where did that come from..?

Vaslisa gave a small frown. "Could you honestly say that you have bad habits you say you are going to change and never do...just because you've formed a pattern you don't feel like getting out of?" She didn't want to cut herself and told herself time and time again that she would stop. But she never did...because what was the point? No one really cared how much she hurt herself.
She briefly observed that the sky was getting darker. She didn't care. The dark never hurt anyone. Anyway....the dark is where she really belonged...wasn't it?

Adrian shook his head, he was changing his life right now, just by talking to her and he felt good about it, though he was feeling a little odd about doing so but at least he was trying. "I can honestly say that I'm breaking a habit of mine right now," He replied, answering her question by revealing something about him vaguely at the same time.
The night was drawing near, he wanted to wait outside a little bit longer, he had heard from a few people around campus that fireflies sometimes come out around the lake depending on the time of night... hopefully they'd come out, he wanted to see them.
Maybe share the moment with... her.
"Heh, we've been talking all this time and I don't even know your name," He stated, not glancing back at her as he watched the sky.

Vasilisa nodded, her face still serious, though friendly. "Then you're on your way to becomeing more succesful than me." Her tone was only a little bitter, but not enough for the boy to notice she was certain, but the majority of her voice was full of the convinceing cheerfulness she always put in her voice.
She gave a more genuine smile as he asked her for her name. "My name is Vasilisa Deikov. Yours?"

Although he was improving on some of the habits he had himself in, there was one darker habit he wasn't so proud of but there was no way in hell he'd ever stop. Those pills helped him through the night and to get over anything people breathed about his family...
"Pleasure to meet you, Vasilisa, my names Adrian Ozera," He said with a light smile, "Though, Vasilisa seems a bit long... Can I call you Lissa?" Seemed easy enough, plus he didn't have to remember the full length of her name although her last name made him think, where had he heard that name before...?

Vasilisa smiled back timidly as he smiled back. He had a really nice smile. And those eyes...those eyes were so beautiful. They really were captivating. She found herself leaning closer to see them batter in the growing dark. Then she suddenly stopped before it might come to his attention. "It's nice to meet you too, Adrian. Really, really nice." She smiled more warmly as she said that. Her smile was more....real. She really meant it. She found she really liked talking to Adrian.

A light smile spread across his lips as she replied, it felt nice to know her name finally but something bugged him, now that he knew her name she looked very familiar. Yes she was because of classes but there was more to it... did she... was she... A Deikov! Why had this only just occurred to him?
"Are you from Montana?" He asked, swallowing a hard lump in his throat as he felt his body tense up, shivers running down his spine but he tried his best to keep his emotions down, he didn't need to spook her now... Nor did he need to get worked up over what happened. He could have a casual conversation about his past...
Right..?

Vasilisa was a little confused on why he asked if she came from Montana. Yes. She came from Montana. But why did he want to know? There wasn't much to tell about Montana...and why would he know? Then it clicked. Christian Ozera...She could still remember the darkness...How he has been shunned by so many. How he and she were of the same kind. How they had something in commen.....they were both freaks of their own kind. She supressed a shiver and nodded. "Yes...I come from Montana. I went to an elementary school for elemental users."

Adrian's eyes widened as she said she was from the same place as he was, and also went to a school for elemental gifted students. He himself was one of those people except to his 'family' he was an outcast because of his unreal and rare abilities. "Lissa... we're from the same place, I can't believe I didn't recognize you," He said slowly, his eyes drifting from the darkening sky to the beautiful face that was framed by blonde locks of hair. He remembered the healing, how it was so different to the other people there, how they shunned her and shunned him as well. They had something in common.

Vaslisa looked up from the ground and observed his face more carefully. Yes...he looked almost the same. Obviously more matured...And...well...really good looking. But his eyes...why hadn't she remembered those eyes. It was so dark and in the night they looked like orange fire. Those were eyes that she knew so well. Ones that had so often looked so unhappy in her memories, just like her own were she was sure.
She looked down before she stared any longer. "Yeah...me too....how have things been for you?"

The darkness was beginning to sweep over the area, bringing a dark blanket that would set off the street lights and the odd group of fireflies around. Adrian's eyes were averted from the sky, the sun had officially set down into the horizon and he was more distracted by Vasilisa now. It was a surprise to him to see her here, and even more surprising that he wasn't going to talk to her at first, either.
"Things are getting better, what about you?" He asked, his heart going out to her because of the treatment that she received that he knew oh so well. But what was puzzling him was that she was a reminder of his past. He was beginning to feel a slight bit of nausea, memories flooding back... He jerked to the side, facing away from the girl and popped a single sleeping pill into his mouth and swallowed it.
Now an excuse if she grew suspicious...

Just looking at him brought back those memories. Oh why did she have to remember them? Pain went through her chest and her head swirled with all those memories. Those memories that she didn't want to think of. The stares. The rumors. The rejection. The silence that had been carried around her. Being used to bring gain. Why couldn't she let it go? Why....It all seemed to stab at her brain. She wanted to let it go but she couldn't.
She hid her inner turmoil and smiled softly at him. "That's great. I'm so happy for you." A shadow fell over her eyes as he asked about her. The hospital....she loved to help people....but god it all hurt so much. She was just a way to get her parents richer. "Never better." She spoke sharply. She hated them. She hated them so much. She hated being used like that....God....why wouldn't the pain go away? Why did it keep picking away at her mind and center of her chest.
She frowned a little when she saw him take a pill. "Do you have a headache or something?"

He couldn't help but smile more as she responded, he felt more at ease now that he knew who she was, where she was from, that they were so alike... someone to relate to.
"What about your powers?" He asked, buying her small lie about how she was really feeling, but he was also hiding things from her as well. He didn't want her to know the pain he went through because of his stupid powers and his idiotic, psycho parents.
Her question startled him, maybe he should become more skilled in hiding his pill taking but at least she had come up with an excuse for him~! "A-ah, yeah, been getting them a lot lately..." He answered, trying to act as truthful about it as possible. No one needed to know he was taking sleeping pills...

Vaslisa sighed a little shakily. She didn't like remembering her past all that much....Thinking of all that had happened...it picked at her unhealed wounds. "My powers are a lot more powerful than they were back then...My parents....encouraged me to use my powers. They thought it would be...very...benificial to learn how to better know and use my powers, damn the expense on my part. How about your powers?" She had dropped her sweet happy act by now. She felt bitter and resentful. She didn't mind showing this side to him. He could understand at least a little.
Her temples throbbed a little. She could feel a headache of her own coming on. "Do you have an asprin to spare? I feel a headache coming on."
