Purple locks swayed with the direction of the swing, back and forth, back and forth, Faye was beginning to think she could swing right over the top of the metal railing at the top of the swing set. Though, that sounded a bit far fetched, really...
"Hm?" She slowed her swinging to an average height to speak to Alice clearer, "Well... mostly I came here to learn how to control my powers but as for spare time stuff..." She trailed off into thought, thinking about what she did do when she had free time. "I like to cook! Especially Italian food~ swimming, and sewing~" She turned her head to Alice, "What about you, Alice?"

Oh sewing~! That had always interested her, though she never really thought to try to sew herself. Her free time, though? She had quite a lot of free time, though she... hardly used much of it to her own enjoyment. She ended up usually just sitting around and watching others or sitting by herself. She slowed her swinging a bit, so she could talk clearly to Faye.
"Me? Well.. I like to play my cello, listen to music and read fiction novels. To be honest, I usually spend my time indoors doing those things." She let out a laugh, closing her eyes. It was true, she hadn't even gone swimming in... wait had she ever gone swimming? "Actually, I don't... think I've ever gone swimming. I tend to burn easily.. "

"Oh the cello~? I love instruments, I just.. don't really have the patience to learn how to play one..." A saddened tone entered her voice at the end, but it soon disappeared when she heard that Alice hadn't gone swimming before.
Her swinging grew faster again, going further into the air, "Well, if you wear lots of sunblock you should be able to swim without getting burned! Because~ we're going swimming together some time, okay?" No person was allowed to miss out on how the water felt as you moved through it so graceully. Unless you were like allergic.. but still! They were missing out.

Alice heard the saddened tone in Faye's voice, but also noticed when it had quickly disappeared when Faye began to talk about swimming. This seemed to be one of her favorite activities, from her tone of voice and because... well, she did state she liked to go swimming. Alice began to swing herself faster, to go just as far as Faye was. "Swimming..? Oh that sounds like fun~!"
Swimming~! But the sadness that entered Faye's voice about the instrument kind of.. still bugged her. "Faye...? I would love to go swimming with you sometime. If you'd like me to teach you anything about .. music or the cello I can certainly try, if you'd like."

Excitement bubbled deep within her as Alice set her proposal. "That would be fantastic~! I'll take you swimming and you can teach me the basics of the cello~~" Now she wished she had taken ochestra or something so she could learn some more, but no matter~! She had a lot of free time these days so she could practice!
Swinging higher, she began to be able to see over some of the tree tops to the view over the ocean that surrounded the island. "Say.. Alice, would you like to go down to the beach?" She asked.

There was a somewhat warm feeling bubbling within her stomach as Faye had accepted her offer, Alice smiling a bit more. What was this feeling? Was it... it had to be excitement... it just had to be! What else could it have been? "Alright, then! It's a deal!"
Alice, however, had slowed her swing and came almost to a stop as Faye asked if she wanted to go to the beach. The beach. With water. And people. She paused for a moment, almost as if thinking over if she wanted to go to the beach. Which she was. She had forgotten her tablet case today, and didn't think she would be out that long. She was starting to get hungry, but she should be fine going to the beach... It would just be for a bit longer, right? Nodding her head, deciding that she would go, she giggled. "It wouldn't hurt to go, so why don't we?"

Faye's swinging halted as Alice stopped, Faye gazed at her with bright blue eyes, curious to what the girl might be thinking about. There was something going on in that head of hers that seemed to be more than she was leading on...
Oh well. Wasn't like Alice was going to kill her or anything.
"Yay~" This time they wouldn't race. Faye took Alice's hand, pulling her out of the sand box that held the swing set up and they travelled across the park, far away from the bleeding kid. "I know this place down there that's secluded, hardly any one goes down there," Rock pools and the small channels that flowed down to the sea were Faye's favourite parts, they had all the sea creatures and warm water.

She gently squeezed Faye's hand when she mentioned the secluded place. That sounded really great, at the moment. "That sounds great~ I think I've only ever been to the beach when I was a child." Only the sandy part of the beach, too. She never got to go to the rock pools or small channels. When she was little, her family kept a very tight watch on her and for good reason. If people were out hunting you, you'd have to be careful where you went, right?
Perhaps she.. should... explain that.... It might have been strange that she kept saying she hadn't done so many things, which was true, but these things were what everyone did at least once in their life time. Right? "Um, Faye... I was .. not to sound weird or anything, but I was secluded as a child. I just kind of stayed in doors and such and.. because of that I tend to stay inside even .. now that I'm older."
There, that was a simple explanation, right? Didn't leave anything open to question further, or at least she thought, and there wasn't lying. There was no falsehood in her explanation, and she would try to keep it that way. Oh this... being... human was sort of draining.... so many rules, so many things to keep track of...

Although the explanation was odd and strange to say right then, Faye nodded, accepting it as an answer, "Well... um, then you can break free of that? Everyone needs to get out and explore different parts of their home or where they are, there's no use in hiding from the world," Those kinds of people normally ended up bitter, senile and ignorant.
Their light jog brought them to the beach, Faye led Alice down a short trail, the end revealing a nice spot, covered by trees so only small spots had rays of sunshine shining through, the rock pools were all different shapes and depths, the water still and calm. "Beautiful, hm?"

Break free of that? Exactly, that was exactly what she was doing! Breaking free of it to become more herself, to take revenge on her family! There was no need for her to hide anymore. No, she wouldn't hide, she'd hunt. She would hunt down those who murdered her family and kill all the humans who had darkness within their hearts. All humans had it. Hating something or someone just because they were different or they did not understand something..
... Was Faye like that? Turning her gaze to Faye as they stood near the pools of water, her eyes narrowed slightly. Not out of hatred or anything, but out of curiosity. Out of wondering... how would Faye react? She seemed nice so far but... then everyone pretends... even she pretended but was... was she pretending now? She was broken from her thoughts as Faye asked her a question, blinking a bit before looking to the pools of water.
The rays that had gotten through the trees had made the water sparkle and shimmer and seem as if it were alive. She crouched down near one of the pools, resting her hands in her lap as she watched the creatures within the water. There were little fishes in this one, with a starfish and some rocks spread about. The pool wasn't that deep, and one of the rays of sun was shinning down upon it, making the water clearer for view. "How did you find.. a place like this..?"

Faye hadn't noticed Alice as she was thinking very deeply about something, Faye had busied herself with looking in each rock pool to see what sea creatures were living in there, pointing and squeeing at the various cute little fishes, shrimp and starfish in the water. The rays of light that shone down through the gaps in the trees branches casted various sparkling lights that danced on the water's surface, creating a more majestic and eerie feeling in the air.
"Easy, really, I normally come down to the beach a lot and I just walk up and down it, I came across it when I got overly curious to where a track went Hahaha," She said as she pointed to a short track made of sand and various trees and other plants.

Alice looked over towards the track made of sand, smiling a bit. It was interesting to see how a small path made of sand could lead one to such a beautiful array of pools of water. Though if one were to slip and hurt themselves on the rock pools... it might be hard to find them. Curiosity killed the cat, as the saying goes...
Looking over to Faye as she squealed about the different animals that were in each pool, she slowly stood up walking over to the pool Faye was looking at. "You get so excited to see these things, Faye... If you've come here before why.. do they excite you again? If you don't mind me asking?"

Faye dipped her fingers into the water, gently touching the shrimp that just gracefully swayed with the movement of the water caused by the light breeze passing through the grove. The feelers on top of the shrimp tickled her skin and she flinched but tried not to scare them too much.
As Alice asked her question, Faye lifted her head, her eyes holding confusion, "I'm not sure, it just.. seems different every time and I love sea creatures and these kinds of places that it never gets old. Why do you ask?" She asked, curiously, Alice was sure the curious type, yet she also seemed to be in very deep thought.

... Why did she ask? Well, if she were to tell the truth it was because she had never experienced such a thing herself. Should she tell the truth to Faye? ... Perhaps it was time she opened up to someone, told the truth. If Faye was afraid well then... that was just one more person who was afraid of her. She could take that chance, it wasn't like she was really losing anything, was she?
She smiled a bit nervously, swirling her finger lightly in the rock pool. "Well, to be honest, I don't think I've ever experience such a thing myself. Um, Faye... I have something to tell you. It's ... it's something that might frighten you. Why I'm.. so.. strange... well at least in yours eyes, why I'm strange."

Faye felt the eerie and majestical feeling dampen into something more serious and alarming. Her head shot up from the rock pools, Alice's words beginning to really confuse her now, she wasn't frightened - or at least she was trying not to show any of that -, she was merely curious to what the girl had to say.
Lifting her body up from the crouching position, she rested her feet on solid ground that had a thin layer of sand over top, her reflection rippling in the water's surface from the soft breeze. "Wh..what is it, Alice..?" She replied, anxious to know what she had to say.
