Suri was still in the middle of decorating her side of the room. She hadn't been in the dorm rooms for very long, but she wanted to try and make it seem like home. At the moment, she had her headphones in her ears, listening to The Beatles. She was in the mood to listen to some rock but... the Beatles sounded just excellent right now. The current song on her playlist was "Help!". Her bed was made up of black sheets with neon orange and green pillow cases. The comforter she had on her bed was also black, but had streaks of orange and green on it, to match the pillow cases.
Over her bed and along the side wall of her bed were posters of some rock and metal bands. One poster was of course the Beatles, The Ramones, Megadeth, such bands like that. Though she didn't want to take up too much space on the walls as to ... distract her roommate or anything. She did not want to be rude. Upon her desk was a black laptop with neon pink music logo instead of the logo of the computer which would glow when it was on. The lamp was a neon purple, and she had a photo of her and her brother on the desk, and then one of her entire family, just little keep sakes. Then there were her numerous gummi bracelets within a decorative bowl and then a pencil holder to hold her pencils and the like. Her alarm clock was setting on the side table next to her bed, her sitting down on the edge of the bed and letting out a soft sigh. Her shoes were by the door of the room, and a neon purple soft rug near her bed.
Now it seemed somewhat like home.

At least she wouldn't be alone in her dormitory. She had a very kind room mate (Well, she assumed she was kind). As she entered the dormitory she noticed how still and quiet it was out in the living room, everything was nice and neat and smelled new, like it hadn't been lived in for very long. Maybe she was new as well?
Walking further in with her bags and stuff, she made her way over to one of the bedrooms where she found the door to be open just a crack. She let go of her suitcase and gently pushed the door further open, revealing a very bright yet dark room. She noticed all the rock band posters and felt intimidated, was she like.. emo? She shook her head, seeing the girl there, shifting stuff around with headphones on.
She panicked a little, "A-ah! I'm.. sorry, I should have knocked.." She said, startled by the fact that she was in there. She should learn to be more considerate of these things.

Suri didn't notice that someone had entered her room, at the moment. She still had her headphones in. However, when she had picked up her backpack to put it near the door, she had dropped it as soon as she turned as she had become startled by seeing someone in the doorway. She quickly took her headphones from her ears, picking up her backpack.
"S-sorry I didn't...see you there. My name is Suri, u-um Suri Bell. It's.. nice to meet you. " Suri hesitated for a moment before walking over and holding out her hand to shake. The problem was, her backpack was still in that hand. She quickly dropped it near her shoes, laughing slightly nervously before holding out her hand once more.

Elise had worn a simple pair of jeans that day, a navy blue pair and pair of black and white sneakers on her feet. For a shirt, she wore a nice grey blouse that was long enough to be considered a dress. Since the air was a little cool that day, she had put on a black cardigan as well, the sleeves coming just passed her elbows.
She swallowed as the girl- Suri, had extended her hand to greet her. She gingerly took the girl's hand and shook it softly. "It's.. it's nice to meet you too.. I'm.. Elise van Daele," Her Dutch accent exposed itself as she spoke her name. As she withdrew her hand, she glanced around, "Your.. room is very.. colourful," She took back that thought of her being emo, she liked colours and the way Suri had done it was amazing.

Suri was wearing black leggings with a ruffled white lolita skirt and a tank top. The skirt was white with black frills underneath, and the tanktop was a neon purple. She smiled as Elise introduced herself, feeling slightly better that Elise seemed to be just as nervous as she was. She swallowed lightly, looking back at her room and then back to Elise. "Thank you.. I .. just moved in about a week ago and.. I'm still unpacking some things. Hence w-why its kind of... bland out in the rest of the... dorm. "
Not only that, but she did not want to decorate the entire dorm in her style. She knew her roommate might want to add some things into the kitchen and living room and such. Her idea for the kitchen was to add a sort of.. Japanese feel to it. To put up artwork and such but she didn't want to take it over, so she hadn't decorated anything. The only real thing she had in the kitchen was a electric tea kettle and different teas. That was one of the things she got from her mother was the love of tea.

Ah, so her thoughts were correct. She knew the new smell would eventually disappear from the place once it was lived in for a few weeks but Suri hadn't been there that long. She forced a smile to her face, turning her gaze back to the younger girl, she looked about twelve or thirteen. However, there was something about her that made her seem so much older.. so mature.
"I'm sure.. we can find something to spice the rest of the place up..?" She did want to branch out to other people, and who better to start with than her room mate? But she knew it would be hard. Nothing could be as easy as being with Adele and Cilla. She swallowed a bit and took a step back, lifting her suitcase up, "I'm going to go.. put these away," She said as she shifted from the girls room, down the hall to her own room which had her bed in it already and her set of duvets, comforter and pillow cases. The duvet was white and had rainbow polka dots on it.

"O-o..oh! Do you need.. any help with anything?" Suri stumbled slightly out of her room after Elise, watching her as she walked towards her room. She didn't want to be rude and just follow her to her room. She looked over towards the doorway to the dorm, trying to see if there was any more luggage or anything that she could help Elise with.
Looking back towards Elise's room, she smiled slightly and walked over to the doorway. She knocked lightly on the door frame, smiling to Elise. The comforter on her bed looked really cute. Rainbow polka dots!! "Would you.. like some tea, Elise?"

Elise turned as she set her bags down on the floor, looking at Suri as she asked if she would need any help. "O-oh, no. I'm okay, thank you," She said with a small smile tugging at her lips. She heaved her main suit case up onto the bed and unzipped it and began to store her clothes away in the set of drawers in the corner of her room.
Beside that set of drawers was a white desk with a lamp and her laptop which held all the documents of her songs that she hadn't written down on paper. Beside the laptop was a small, black notebook that had several shades of grey floral patterns crawling up the spine and the side of the book.
When Suri offered tea, Elise nodded, "That would be nice.. thank you.. Suri," She tried her best to keep the name nice instead of butchering it with the English language.

Suri smiled, nodding and turning to head down the hall to the kitchen. She took out two tea cups, setting them down gently on the counter. She took out her tea packets, placing one in each tea cup. She had the metal balls for tea that had not been bagged, as well as the one in bags. It depended on her mood on how she wanted to make her tea.
Grabbing the electric tea kettle, she filled it up with water with enough water for each Elise and herself to have two cups of tea. Placing it back upon its base, she switched the switch to start boiling the water to a warm enough temperature. The tea cups were a dark gray color with black speckles throughout them. As the switch to the electric tea kettle flipped off, Suri walked back down the hall to knock on Elise's door once more. "Elise..? How would you like your tea? With sugar or milk?"

As Suri left for the kitchen, Elise turned back to her bedroom and thought about the layout she was going to have. All her furniture was in the correct places, she was pleased with that but the rest of her things...
She opened up another bag as she finished putting away her clothing and pulled out a packet of blue-tac and a roll of posters. She had plenty of her favourite artists that inspired her the most when it came to her music and the others were of cute things. She chose a wall to put them on and stood on her bed to stick them up. Once she was done she brushed her duvet down, straightening it out. Next came her novels, text books for school, stationery and supplies for getting ready in the morning.
Elise got a bit of a fright when Suri re-entered the room but she took a breath, turning her head. "Oh-um.. both, please," She said with a nervous smile.

Suri smiled slightly nervously, nodding before going back to the kitchen. She picked up the electric tea kettle from its spot and poured the hot water over the tea bags. After letting them sit for a minute or two, she stirred the water and made sure that the tea was diffused properly. Then she took the milk from the fridge and began to pour milk into both tea cups. She also added sugar to Elise's cup, stirring it until it was fully dissolved.
Elise seemed to be getting set up in her room rather quickly, much quicker than Suri had. Then again, Suri was usually off in her own world playing her guitar or ... baking... rather than trying to set up her room. She knew she probably wouldn't have been spending much time in her room... hence why she didn't really put everything up at once.
Once the tea cups were somewhat cool enough to handle and take down the hall, she did, hesitating when she got to the door. She couldn't really knock with both hands holding a tea cup. So she took her foot, lightly tapping on the edge of the door frame. "S-sorry.. I couldn't... knock with my hands full... Are you sure you don't need any help with anything? I-i'm not trying to be a bother...and I do apologize if I am."

Elise's room wasn't going to take much to set up, all she had to do was rearrange her belongings and set them how she wanted. The things she would hang up on her wall would be done a bit later when she felt like attacking her room again, but for now, she was happy with it.
As she spun around on her heel, she saw Suri struggling to get the door open. She jerked forward to go help her but Suri had already opened the door up and was apologising. A nervous smile tugged at Elise's light pink lips, she shook her head, "You.. you aren't being a bother.. at all! Thank you so much for the tea," She stepped out of her room, looking down the hall and looked to be thinking of something.
"H-how about.. we go sit out.. in the living room to drink these?"

Suri had smiled, fiddling a bit with her cup as she looked down. "You're welcome.. " Oh why was she so nervous? Her friends at her old school always told her not to be nervous. Whenever they would meet new people she would always be told not be nervous and to be herself, but she couldn't help it. She just... was nervous. She didn't have very good social skills growing up, being dragged around everywhere by her mother. Sure she would be introduced to people at the store and the like, but really all she would would be... to say hello, bow, and then hide behind her mothers legs. It didn't change very much as she grew up, either.
She had nodded when Elise had suggested they go to the living room, turning and walking somewhat quickly down the hall. It wasn't because she was afraid or anything, but her nerves were all jumbled. When she got to the living room, she sat down upon the couch, about to take a sip but she had quickly set it down on the table, jumping up from her seat. "A-ah, would you.. like a snack or.. anything with your tea, Elise?" That's right! Tea and cakes. It was polite to ask the guest if they would like tea or biscuits or anything with their tea. She had just baked little cakes earlier that day, too, in the shape of squares. They had fresh white frosting, and she had yet to decorate them. She was going to decorate them in different spring colors, with flowers drawn around the sides and top. At the moment, they were just white. It was a two tier small snack cake, with vanilla frosting holding the two pieces together.

Elise assisted Suri out to the lounge with the tray of tea. When they sat down on the couch, Elise looked at the designs on the small tea cups and giggled a little to herself, they were cute. When she picked up her cup, she blew gently on the liquid before taking a small sip, smiling in content.
Just as she was about to compliment Suri on her tea making, the younger girl had shot up from her seat, asking her a question. Elise blinked and then nodded, "Oh, yes, that would be.. nice, thank you," She smiled, her mind guessing at what the snacks would be. She brought her cup to her lips again, taking another few more sips.

Suri smiled, walking into the kitchen and picking up the small tray which held the snacks she had just made. They had white fondant covering them, and inside were small cakes, two tiers, being held together by vanilla frosting. Placing them down on the coffee table, Suri let out a small slightly nervous laugh. "I haven't really decorated them yet. Baking is.. a hobby of mine and.. I enjoy to bake and decorate. These just got covered in fondant and I was letting them cool a bit more before I decorated them."
She sat down on the couch, picking up her tea cup and blowing lightly upon the liquid before taking a sip. There, tea and cakes. Perfect tea time~ No tea was complete without a side dish! Now that the side dish was supplied, there was only the matter of conversation. She could do this, she was mature enough to hold a polite conversation without being nervous! "I liked the colors in your room, Elise. The design on your bed was cute, too."
