Stupid science. Stupid school. Stupid grades.
Oh, just because he was falling a little behind in his Earth and Space science class, he was ordered by the teacher, to use his lunch time to scavenge around in the stupid library to find some books to help him. Why couldn't they do it? Oh no, he had to come to this ratchet place.
He gave a meek wave to the librarian who gave him a queer look, she generally knew most of the people that came into the library regularly and she had only recalled seeing him once, a month or so ago. She shrugged and went back to her lunch. Rai evil eyed her when she wasn't looking, able to eat in the library when no one else would. Oh well! He would eat in the corner and just say he went because he did, the librarian saw him.
As he passed through the many rows of books, he found a small table that looked out onto the island, the sun shone through the window, bouncing off the objects in the corner. He dumped his bag on top of the table and sat down, sighing deeply. He may as well make a start...
Or eat first..
Yep, eat.

It was Suri's first day at T'zenshin, officially! Today was her first day, and since it was the lunch break she thought she might as well check out the library. In no time, she would probably have read through half the library, if she hadn't already read most of the books in it. It took her a bit to find it, but when she did, she felt her heart flutter a bit. One of the things she loved was books.
She had her headphones in, listening to metal at the moment. It was a low volume, it was almost a habit for her to have it on somewhat of a low volume. Only because of her brother Rai... speaking of which! She had to find him sometime today. Lunch would have been hard to find him though... Walking past the librarian, she really paid no attention to her as she walked straight past and towards the massive rows of books.
Looking around at the rows and rows of books Suri felt as if she was in her own world again. Her ... happy place, so to speak. A small smile came to her lips, slowly stopping near the science section. Her eyes skimmed the rows, her finger lightly moving over the spines of the books when she came to the end of the row and noticed a table out of the corner of her eye. Paying really no attention to it for a moment, she quickly did a double take when she saw who was sitting at said table. Rai~!
Trying to hide her excitement, she was almost positive her brother must have heard her by now but... she could try to surprise him at least! Slowly walking over behind him, trying to tiptoe and be incredibly quiet, she leaned over towards him and spoke softly. "You aren't supposed to eat in the library, big brother."

That morning, Rai had made himself a small obento for the day. The plastic container was set off into three compartments and one of the smaller parts had seafood salad, the other had two pieces of honey BBQ chicken sushi and the larger section of it had fried rice and tender strips of chicken with honey soy marinate. He knew some of the meat he was sent by his father would come in handy. Mmm~
He opened the plastic covering, but then he heard someone coming, light footsteps, can't have been the librarian, she wasn't exactly... skinny. So, he carried on. Not caring about chopsticks, he picked up a fork and had just placed a mouthful of the seafood salad into his mouth when he heard a very familiar voice. No matter how familiar it seemed to him, it was different, older... more mature--
SURI!
He glanced up, his eyes widening as he saw her. HE shot up from his seat, his arms wrapping around her as he spun her in a small circle. "Su-chan! What are you doing here?" His voice showed clear signs of excitement, a large grin across his lips.

Suri's small smile had grew, spreading across her entire face as she felt how excited Rai was too. Oh that made her feel oh so much happier that he was just as excited as she was! She had wrapped her arms around Rai as he spun her around, closing her eyes. "I'm attending T'zenshin now~! So I get to be here with you!"
When he placed her back on the floor, she opened her eyes smiling up to her brother. The one thing they had in common was their eye color, and she always loved seeing his eyes... they were always so happy and cheerful.. when he wasn't upset that is. "That looks like a delicious obento, though. Did you make it yourself?"
She took her headphones from her ears, sticking her hand in her pocket and turning her iPod off. It had been a while since she had an obento like that... or even seen such good food as that. Times were getting better, though! She was not attending the same school as her brother and things were bound to get better.

Well, Rai had gathered that much from her uniform. But he could have sworn she was only eleven this year. Oh well, he didn't care! He had missed his sister so much and was trying to find better ways to chat to her but for some reason, the computer at their house wasn't picking up any video call invitations.
"Yes, I did~ with some of the food dad sent me, you can have some of it if you want~" He would have put 'I can't eat it all' if it was true, and Suri knew all too well he ate a lot but it just didn't go anywhere. When he finally released her from his hold, he took a seat down at the table again, bringing around another chair for Suri to sit at.

"Thank you," She smiled to Rai, sitting down in the seat that he had gotten for her. She had shook her head though, closing her eyes. It was his obento, and she wasn't going to intrude on it. Besides, she had a big breakfast and wasn't that hungry at the moment. "And thank you for offering, but I did have a big breakfast. I'm still kind of full. What have you been up to, Rai?"
After a moment though, she laughed slightly. She was sitting up straight in the chair, her hands in her lap, very much like a proper young lady. She hadn't really been able to send anything but snail mail to Rai, and most of the time it was just... she was doing fine and she hoped he was doing well. She did not want him to know what was happening at home...
"I'm sorry for the short letters for the past.. year or so... But now that I'm here we can catch up! Do you get letters from dad often?"

Nodding, Rai picked up the fork again and finished off the seafood salad in the small compartment area. He then placed the fork down to think about Suri's question, gathering up some things to say. "Weeeeell... I'm in the Student Freedom Force, if you haven't heard about it already, it's a secret group that opposes the Student Council," He said with a smile, he knew Suri wouldn't be against it.
A blush came to his cheeks at his next few thoughts but Suri mentioning her letters cut him off. He shook his head, "Don't worry about it, Su-chan~! It's fine, really." He would find another opening to say what he was about to.

Suri had slowly grinned when she saw a pink tinge to her brother's cheeks as he thought about her question. Why would dear older brother be blushing? She kept quiet for a moment, watching Rai rather closely for a moment. Should she try to brush her hand against him to try and get a image of what he's been up to? She was never good at understanding those images... and what if she had saw something she wasn't supposed to?
Well, she might as well ask up front. "Raaaaai~ What have you been up to to make your cheeks go pink~?" Her voice was somewhat teasing, yet was still very cheery and somewhat... song like as she pried at her brother to see what he had been doing. Something was up to make him blush like that!

The direct question caused him to blush even more. He leaned back in his chair, the sun unable to reach his skin anymore and he felt the heat seep away from him, cooling him down. He looked to the ground for a few brief moments, watching the dust particles dance in the rays of sun that shone through the window glass.
Finally, he had gathered the courage to be up front to his sister. He leaned forward again, resting his elbows on the smoothly polished table, but his eyes didn't meet Suri's. "I also have a girlfriend," He murmured, he didn't think talking about Haruka would make him so giddy and shy but it did. It was something he had left out of his letters.

Suri had smiled, leaning forward and patting her brother on the back. "Congratulations, Rai~! I'm happy for you!" After thinking for a moment, she leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms over her chest. "Though you neglected to tell me that in our letters.. but I'm sure you had your reasons." She laughed slightly, looking to the side at the rays of sun that came in through the windows. Much like her brother, she began to watch the dust particles dance within the light.
"She must make you happy... if you blush like that. Seems like you don't need me to keep you in line, if you have her." ... Yeah. He was... older now.. and she was too. He did not need her checking up on him in the middle of the night. They were both grown up now. Just because they were grown up didn't mean they couldn't look out for each other though. "I would like to meet her sometime, if you don't mind. I don't want to intrude."

"I'm sorry! I didn't want to gloat or anything, that and I forgot every time I posted the letter.." He trailed off, resting his chin in the palm of his hand as he sat there. His mind had wondered onto the subject of Haruka, how pretty she was~ beautiful, perfect, he couldn't understand how she could say she was 'damaged'.
When he heard Suri speak again, he glanced up, smiling again, his eyes closing as he did. "She's wonderful, but, having you looking out for me again would be nice, and I can look out for you, too," Mostly for those prowling boys that might want to gobble her up. She was adorable enough! "Of course you can meet her, silly! She seemed eager to meet you at some point when I brought you up.."

Suri blinked, seeming to be caught off guard for a moment. Rai's girlfriend had wanted to meet her? Not to mention the fact that Rai had mentioned her ... Why did that seem to make her giggle and feel happy? She had mentioned Rai to her friends a couple times so... that shouldn't have surprised her. She smiled, closing her eyes. "Alright then~! Will you arrange a meeting for your girlfriend and I to meet? Oh~ I could bake something to give her!"
She held out her palm, making her other hand into a fist and placing it into her open palm. She was now thinking of things to bake for Rai's girlfriend. Cookies, cupcakes... oh~! Perhaps some little decorated cookies with melted chocolate designs! "I'll have to thank her for keeping an eye on you while you were here. I'm sure you must have been a handful for her!"

As much as Haruka didn't really ear a lot of food, she would love the gesture. Besides, he would eat them. All. Every single one of them like a vacuum. He had to stop himself from drooling and concentrate on other things. He dipped a piece of sushi into a punnet of soy sauce, placing the whole thing in his mouth.
It was not being a pig! It was actually polite in Japan to eat it all at once. "Don't get too carried away now, you~" He said with a small laugh as he finished up his mouthful. "How are mum and dad?" He asked her, curiosity laced within his voice. He got a few letters from his father but he hadn't mentioned anything about family life, neither had Suri so he was genuinely curious, not suspicious.

Suri puffed her cheeks slightly at the thought of getting carried away, looking to the side. It was true though.. she tended to get carried away when it came to baking. When he mentioned mom and dad, though, her cheeks went back to normal. She let out a laugh, closing her eyes and trying her best to keep up a happy nature and... tell Rai what she could. She hated lying to him... but it may be for the best at the moment.
"Fine, fine. Father is busy as ever, and mother has been doing errands around town... like usual. Nothing too special. Ah~! That reminds me."
Suri had packed herself a snack for that day, mainly some cookies that she had made that morning. She made them kind of in hopes that ... she would see Rai. If she didn't, at least she had a snack to hold her over until later. Since she did see Rai, though, she could share them! She took the small napkin from her bag, unfolding it and laying the napkin on the table in front of Rai's obento. They were sugar cookies with colored sugar on the top in blues, purples, and oranges. "I made these this morning.. Please have some!"

Buying the lie, Rai smiled, glad that the family was sticking together still and that everything seemed normal. He wanted to see his parents so much, he should really go back and visit next break. Yep, he would. He would book the tickets to go... soon, hopefully, or he'd forget and remember at the last minute.
When Suri brought out the cookies, his eyes lit up and he pushed his obento to the side, taking one of the cookies from her possession. He bit into it, holding his hand up to catch the crumbs so the librarian didn't see them. "Mmm~ these are fantastic, Su-chan!" He complimented in between bites of the delicious baking.
