Some unsuspecting girl was going to get the shock of her life when she got home that day after finishing her classes.
But, we won't go into that.
Cerys Levenworth had more important things to do now that everything was placed and there was nothing pointing her and her sister to the robbery. Although, she hadn't heard much about it, if at all. Was it going to be kept secret?
Argh, concentrate!
The eighth year walked down the halls to the gymnasium, she was changed from her school uniform in a simple pair of khaki cargo mini-shorts, t-shirt and a hoody, its sleeves coming down to the beginning of her elbows and was black. On her feet were grey low-cut converse. She had a mission, to.. get 'close' to Henri De la Fontaine-Verity. As she walked down the hall she practiced the name over and over again until she got it right. No need to embarrass herself, eh?
"De la Fountain, no no.. De la Fonton, nooo... De la FONTAINE, YES..." She looked around to see if anyone had heard her, though no one was present, she felt embarrassment still creep up.
Cerys pushed open the large wooden doors of the tennis court area of the gymnasium and wow'd at everything, it was so big and smelled funny. Like sweat and that new smell that didn't go away sometimes. She saw people practicing and hoped she didn't miss Henri yet, or she'd have to meet up with him at P.E, and that didn't seem like it was going to work, they'd probably be in different groups, yadda, yadda.
Walking further inside, she peered around, her blonde locks flicking about as she turned her head, the two pig tails were tied with blue hair ties but had blue ribbon around them to make it look nicer.

Another ball bounced off the wall. He hit it back again and again, keeping count of how many times he hit it. He had planned to beat his previous record of 150 hits, and was nearing 130 in his head as he hit the ball again. His messy, dirty-blonde locks bounced against his forehead and neck as he moved to hit the ball again before it could get away.
136... 137... 138...
It was just another day in Tennis for Henri De la Fontaine-Verity. Not that he minded, really. He enjoyed the time he was able to put into his skill of tennis. Though, occasionally, he'd found himself wondering when he'd next get the chance to play the piano. It'd been a few weeks, nearing almost a month, since he last got to practice.
141... 142... 143...
"Ah!" He cried out softly as he jumped forward to hit the ball. It had hit the wall funny and nearly went off into another direction completely. He was able to hit it, just barely, and kept his balance as he hit it again when it came back. He let out a sigh of relief and continued into his rhythm.

Cerys stood in one spot for a moment, watching someone hit a ball backwards and forwards against the wall, it was mesmerizing, the ball was like a blurr. Her eyes followed it before she pulled herself back down to reality, she was on a mission to find Henri De la Fontaine-VERITY! DAMMIT, why did he have such a long name!?
Stopping herself from humming the Mission Impossible theme and crawling along the ground, she looked around for the boy, it felt a bit weird without having her sister there with her but it was a solo mission until they got comfortable with each other.
He had cooties.
Ewwwwwww...
She wanted to go to her dorm. Like now.
IT WAS A MISSION. She never backed down or got scared! Nodding to herself she took another quick glance before hearing one of those disgusting groans when people hit the ball and then noticed person she heard actually was Henri. Plus it was the guy she standing near previously "Oops.." She walked back over to where he was and watched him hit the ball back and forth, it looked kind of boring right now, actually.

148... 149... 150... 151! Yes!
Henri felt triumphant at being able to pass his previous record. Now all it took was getting further, so he'd have another goal. The more he did this, the better he'd be at being able to return a ball from his opponent. That had been his weak point in some of his previous matches, the captain said, and so Henri had been working hard to get past this problem.
158... 159... 160...
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed he had company. He was in a rather secluded area of the gym, off where he could practice with his tennis raquet and ball without getting in anyone's way. He also had to use the concrete floor of the gym, rather than the normal gym floor since he didn't want to damage the nicely waxed surface.
Who was this person?... And was he being watched by this person?
16-...DAMN.
He missed the ball and sighed as he turned to face his one-person audience. His grey eyes watched the girl for a moment before he spoke, his voice bored. "Can I help you?"

Just by watching him, Cerys could see how he was feeling about hitting the ball against the wall. Poor ball, probably feeling quite sore right about now. She shook her head and took a seat on one of the stands since she had no idea how long she'd end up being there. He could go on for ages without noticing her if she didn't make a move.
But she wasn't game enough to annoy him like that.
Nor was she going to jeopardize their mission by being impatient.
Before she knew it he was talking to her. She blinked, letting out a small 'huh' in her brain fade. "Oh! Um, you're Henri De la Fontaine, right..?" She actually got the name right for once, all her practicing down the hall seemed to have worked. Now, she needed a conversation subject, tennis? Yuck, she knew next to nothing and she couldn't remember the other things Rhiannon said he liked. She'd have to wing it. Like always.

Henri watched the girl carefully, a light cringe coming to his expression at the sound of his name. It sounded so... unnatural. De la Fontaine was a last name much better suited for his sister. Nicolette De la Fontaine... She carried it so well. She gave it power and it was a name known all over the school. And the fact that she never used Mom's addition to their name...
He shook those thoughts away and walked over to the missed ball, kicking it up onto the top of his shoe and then kicking it up into his hand. He brought his raquet up to rest on his shoulder and brought his hand to his hip, resting the back of his wrist on the bony hip since he was still holding the ball. He looked a little feminine standing this way, but not too much to make it hilarious.
"What of it?"

HMPH.
All that work to practice his name and she got a CRINGE out of it?
Cerys hid her true feelings and forced a nervous smile to her lips, trying to act as innocent as she possibly could. She watched him go over and kick the ball into his hand, he was very talented, just by doing that.
His question caught her off guard, what was she going to say? She had a subject, an obvious one, but no way to start it up. She stuttered for a little before mustering up something, "So you like tennis?" Oh wow. She deserved a slap there. What kind of stupid question was that?

What kind of stupid question was that? Henri gave the girl a look that expressed his annoyance at her question, considering the answer was obvious. He could have gotten to two-hundred hits, had he not been distracted by the fact he had an audiance. He walked over to the bottom of the bleachers, where he'd set his sports bag down. He tossed the ball inside and set his raquet on top before looking over his shoulder at her.
"I would figure the answer to be obvious."
He shared some qualities of his sister. He spoke formally, even though he was hardly formal with the actual words spoken. He could use large, elegant words and be insulting you at the same time. However, his tone of voice differed from his sister, ringing in a rich, British accent, whereas his sister's accent was more French. Both could speak fluent English and French and while Nicolette said "thees" instead of "this" at times, she had a British tone to her accent, just as Henri had a bit of French within his accent, though it was less noticable than his sister's.

Cerys felt embarrassment fall over her as she heard his response to her stupid question and the annoyance that leaked like a blown water pipe. "A-ah, yeah, sorry, I should've.. known," She replied, the boy was making her lose her confidence and they hadn't even been talking for that long!
She felt that she should pursue vengenance against him for it, actually. She saw him walk down to where his stuff had been placed and stood up from the wooden seat, walking over to him.
"But um, I like it too! I was just coming down here to see what the.. club was like and I happened to come across you, you're very good," Apart from the very last three words (four, really, but she wasn't counting), all of it was a lie yet sounded so true.

Henri raised an unconvinced eyebrow as he looked the girl up and down. She was pretty small and scrawny, hardly one to be interested in any kind of sport. Then again, Henri was rather small and he was a tennis player... But he'd been working at it for years, even if it was only during the summer, and he'd started conditioning himself for a couple of months now. She hardly looked like she'd ever held a raquet.
"Thank you, I suppose..." He started, as she had given him a compliment. He then went right to the point. The boy was painfully honest, a... not so desirable quality about him. "But you do not really look quite like the type to play tennis... Or any sport, for that matter..." He reached out and brought his hand to lightly squeeze her upper arm. "Not much muscle in the arms..." He started to list, and then started to circle her a little. "Hmm... only slightly fit... A bit of muscle in the legs, from what it looks, but over all... Pretty scrawny."
He stopped in front of her. "Either you are just a fan of watching the sport, or you are completely bull shitting me about your interest for tennis." He finally deducted.

A light smile came to her lips as he thanked her for the compliment.
Though it vanished as he continued speaking.
He was such a brat! A stupid, little, but good-looking, bratty boy! Cerys's face scrunched up at the way he was examining her body physique and was very offended. She was about to whack his arm away when he proceeded to squeeze her upper arm to test for muscle.
"Are you done?" She retorted, as he finished circling her and making uncalled for examinations of her body. "Bullshitting? Pfft, I'm sorry, but not everyone has to look the part for the game, come on, you don't either, look at you," She said, she was a few inches taller than him, "You're shorter than me, you look pale and thin, you barely look like a tennis player at all," Well, she would have to be persistent now, she had pretty much blown all chances of being on his good side.

Henri wrinkled his nose at the taller, older girl as he opened up his bag, moving his raquet inside of it before zipping it up. He didn't need anything happening to it right now, especially since it looked like he wouldn't be getting much more practice in with the problem he was facing.
"I have been playing tennis for a few years, now." He stated. "Tennis is about strength and speed, and by the looks of it, you seem to lack both qualities." He then shrugged. "I could be completely wrong, though. But for someone who is 'interested in tennis'" the implication of air quotes was very heavy in his voice, "you look rather over-dressed."

"Looks can be deceiving,"
A smirk curved into her lips as she spoke, hinting that she could have that strength and speed he was talking about but also hinting something he could never know. That she was a wanted criminal, terrorized New York city and had begun to terrorize the Student Council, the Student Freedom Force and innocent students that went about their day normally but were framed as thieves.
His next set of comments angered her further, overly dressed? She was wearing shorts, sneakers and a t-shirt, the hoody was just keep her warm! "How is this overly dressed?" She hated clothing that was hard to move around in so she sounded genuinely confused, a complete one-eighty from her previous anger filled voice.

The young male took a step back to show he was only wearing a simple t-shirt and gym shorts. It was an easy outfit for him to move in while he played, and was close enough to the Tennis Team uniform that he wouldn't have any problem switching between the two outfits and playing.
"And while looks can be deceiving, I do not see you attempting to prove me wrong, Mademoiselle." There was a hint of sarcasm on the French honorific.

Cerys had a slight hint of a girly girl in her and when he pointed to his gym shorts she screwed her face up at them, they were ugly and long. She preferred her cargo shorts, they were light and short enough so they wouldn't get in the way. They also had no frilly bits hanging off them to distract her.
"That's mostly because I don't have my own raquet, I do have some manners, I wasn't about to take yours and use it," Even though she was trying her best to look as good as she could in front of him, she was lying, all of it was a lie. She remembered at school when they did that peewee tennis thing for P.E once, so she knew how to hold a raquet just.. playing... and the noises they made... AH.
