Cerys walked too far ahead of him when he paused, being a few steps in front of him before she realised that he had stopped. She turned around, looking to him, seeing the weird and creeped out expression played out on his face, followed by a question coming from his lips.
She flushed a dark pink, "N-no! I'm not, really, honest," She rubbed the back of her head, "Tennis was obvious, since you were playing it.. and music.. everyone likes music and you liking Astronomy is just as a surprise to me! I was only using the things I like to see what we had in common.." Oh wow, this was going fantastic! ...in some ways that wasn't sarcastic.

Henri continued to stare at the girl oddly before he shoved his free hand in his pocket, continuing to walk with a small shake of his head.
"Yeah... Astronomy... The stars, planets, asteriods, constellations, the whole nine yards." He gave a light shrug. "Something I used to read up on."
He then turned to glance at her as they kept walking. "Why are you so determined to find some sort of subject for us to talk about?"

Cerys completely understood why he was still giving her a queer look. She must've looked like a complete stalker and so weird with her constant attempts to keep him talking and the conversation going, god, she even ran after him.
"I think it's really interesting to read about, going out to space sounds really cool," She said, a nervous laugh escaping her lips and a matching smile to go with it. Boys were not her strong point, they had cooties and she had next to no experience with talking to them.
His question made her think, what would she say? 'Oh my sister said to come talk to you' ugh, that would be even weirder. "Um.. no reason in particular.. Just.. you seem interesting?" Great line. Real smooth.

Grey eyes rolled and he gave a shrug as he continued to walk. He just wanted to get back to his dorm, at this point, and finish up whatever homework he had. He was in the mood for going to bed early that night, considering he was rather worn out from practice and from the long school day.
"Whatever..." He said, unable to really think of anything else to say.

Argh!
Damn boy!
Stupid Student Council President's little brother! He was just a little brat that deserved a piece of her mind! She felt her fist clench but she relaxed, knowing that even laying a finger on him with the intention of violence was out of the question. She just took a deep breath.
Words were better, anyway.
"So, why are you being so short with me?"

Henri frowned at the comment. Well, that was rude. She totally pushed conversation on him, so he had the right to be short with his answers, especially when they were prying into subjects he felt weren't really important, especially to some random girl.
So he was going to be literal. A fucking smart ass.
"Well, I very much apologize, Mademoiselle." There was that sarcastic French honorific again. Oh, but his French accent was so damn perfect... "I have no control over my growth."
He smirked, knowing damn well that wasn't what she meant.

Oh his accent was beautiful, so fluent and... it was alluring. Cerys shook her head, focusing on what was being said. When it all clicked she narrowed her eyes, knowing that he was just bring an ass now, she let out a frustrated sigh.
"Gr, you know exactly what I mean," She said, her voice showing signs of the frustration that was in her sigh, her patience was wearing thin with this boy. Rhiannon was going to get it when she got home.

Henri gave the girl a charming smile, showing his straight, white teeth. "Oh, but darling mademoiselle, you are using such phrases that are so foreign to me." His voice suddenly sounded less British, and much more French, his accent picking up. He had such skill in being able to do that. It was one think that Nicolette couldn't do so well. She was usually just a medium between French and British, leaning toward more French.
"The terms you silly English girls use. You really should take into consideration that you might be speaking to someone who would be very offended by something you might say."
His accent immediately went back to being more British, just like before. "Some people at this school could have been insulted by your 'short' comment, taking offense that you might have been calling them short. Then how would you feel, having offended someone that you were trying to get to know?"

Oh he had a beautiful smile. It was almost enough to distract her from their little arguement...
Like hell it was!
Cerys's anger was only being fueled by his remarks, the sarcasm dripping from his voice like a venom. "I'll have you know that I'm not 'English', I'm Welsh, thank you," She corrected, her voice a clear give away that Henri was getting to her. Cerys had a lot of pride and it was hurt easily.
"I personally wouldn't care if what I had said had been taken as insult. My intentions weren't to insult you or anything, I was merely asking why your answers were so blunt and short," She said, knowing that this was only the beginning, he'd probably continue to be an ass about it.

Oh for the love of God... Could the girl not tell that he was a little fucking bastard just because it was part of his personality?! He paused in his steps and waited for her to stop too before he walked up to her, getting extremely close to her.
He leaned up until his mouth was dangerously close to her ear. He smelled of citrus, something he carried from home in England. His mother had a beautiful citrus tree that he spent many days under during Winter vacation. No wonder he, and his clothes, had retained their scent.
"That answer is easy... I am a jerk." He whispered so gently against her ear. And then he moved away, shifting his jacket back over his shoulder and starting to walk again.

They had stopped walking again, and when she turned around he was extremely close. So close that it was actually making her feel uncomfortbale, he was invading her space. He then moved to step up to her ear, speaking into it, his voice still alluring and she swore she could smell citrusy like scents emitting from him.
She shuddered and turned her head as he began to walk again. He was a jerk, that part was right.. "Why do you deliberately act like a jerk?" She asked, her voice normal and completely clear of the anger she held before.

Henri paused for a moment, his back to the older girl. His eyes were focused on nothing in particular and a certain sad expression crossed over his face, though he was glad she couldn't see it. He then merely twisted his expression into a cynical smirk, looking over his shoulder at the girl.
"Better than trying to be perfect."
That was a low blow toward his sister... He knew it was... But at that moment, he couldn't find the will to feel guilt over those words.

Cerys tilted her head in confusion. Trying to be perfect? Who was he aiming that at? She ran through a list of people he could be trying to insult and figured it was probably aimed at his sister, Nicolette, the Student Council President though he could of just said it because a lot of people tried to be perfect. Or his parents forced it upon him.
"Nobody's perfect and you shouldn't have to try to be, nor should you be a jerk instead," She muttered in reply, "I'm sure you could be nicer deep down.." She was just messing around now, if she wasn't here on a mission, she would've left a long time ago, but if this had ever come up, she would've said something completely different.
"Wouldn't happen to be your sister you were getting at just then, would it?" Everyone knew Nicolette painted a perfect picture for everyone to see.

Henri was silent for a long time after Cerys started talking again. And then he started walking, shaking his head. "I am not talking about this. There is nothing to discuss. Pretend you heard nothing."
He continued to walk, finding the door of the gym and opening it up.

Haha. Got him. Cerys found something he was sensitive about and he knew he had done wrong by saying that about his sister, even if it wasn't really... obvious that it was directed at her.
"Fine, we wont' talk about it then," She said, a sly smile slipping across her lips as she followed just a step or two behind him. They had crossed out into the hall way. "What about the Student Freedom Force, what do you think about that?" She asked.
