Ah, how nice to felt to have finished all of the homework that all of his teachers had assigned him (and when Klaus said all of it, he meant all of it, no matter how far off the due date was). Klaus Leighton had worked relentlessly after he got back to his dorm, working so very hard to take his mind off of his Government teacher and all of the amazing things that had happened earlier that Saturday, and he ended up even reading ahead in his textbooks, taking notes and studying them like they were apart of his nonexistent religion.
Anything to get his mind off of Christopher.
However, with no work to do the next day, Klaus was left at a loss of what to do. It was Sunday and Klaus didn't really have any friends at T'zenshin, so it wasn't like he could call anyone up...well, besides Christopher, but he didn't know what would happen if he called up the man. He also didn't know if Christopher was spending time with that Rebecca girl.
So, Klaus decided to go to the school's Orchestra Room and practice some of his violin playing. Not many people really bothered to go into the school on weekends, anyway, not unless they had something to do.
Dressed in his normal attire, Klaus carried his beloved violin as well as some sheet music with him into the Orchestra Room, ah, good, no one was in there that he could see. It meant that he could practice in peace. Klaus set everything up and looked through the music he had. He wasn't going to be practicing anything for his Orchestra class; he was pretty confident in his ability with those songs but if he had time he'd probably practice them some more...
He looked through the sheet music that he had, trying to decide what to play and then his eyes caught sight of the song "Gloomy Sunday". It wasn't the sheet music for the original version, which was for piano, it was a version based off of a wonderful cover that used the violin. Last he remembered, his parents loved the song...maybe it would be in his best interest to practice it?
Deciding to practice that song, Klaus put the sheet music on the stand as he took out his violin. The song was pretty tricky at points, so he started by warming up a bit by doing some scales off of the top of his head before he dove into the song, playing all of the violin parts without stop even though he made some small, minor mistakes. The song would start off fast, and then dip into a softer sound, and then get rougher and it was hard to keep up with it...
But Klaus was still remarkably good with the violin, that much was obvious.
At the end of the song, Klaus took in a deep breath, and shook his head. Still not perfect, but he was close. Maybe later he'd practice the singing part, though he already knew that he was much better with that part.

Okay, Rebecca Parker hadn't been at the school long enough to know all of the layout of it. She had been to her dance class plenty of times and also noticed that the ochestra room was nearby, which was where a lot of the music that they danced to came from. Sometimes, though, not all, Rebecca liked some of it, too, even.
Rebecca's business in the school on a weekend was because she had an upcoming assignment in dance which was to choreograph your own one minute dance (obviously preforming it yourself). She had been out shopping earlier that day and decided that it would be time to give the assignment a go. It was meant to be started for awhile but she wanted it to be perfect, dancing was a major love of hers, almost coming first equal to her love of fashion (and that was a lot, seriously).
Considering her dance clothes were in a small bag slung over her shoulder, a Sunday was no exception for her to not dress fashionablely. It was a little warm today so she wore a pair of dark blue, faded through to the middle denim mini-shorts that showed off her visibly creamy skin tone but it had hints of an on-coming tan (this normally happens during thes summer for her). For a shirt she wore a very short sleeved pale yellow, almost white t-shirt that was made of a soft material and came down passed the beginning of her shorts. Over top of this shirt she wore a simple black vest that was made of too little material to even think of buttoning it up. On her feet were a simple pair of black ballerina flats that had a small black bow on the left side of them.
She walked inside the dance room and put her bag down, ready to go get changed when she heard music playing. Her ears perked up, if it was a school day she wouldn't have cared, but it was Sunday normally people would be sleeping or enjoying their last day of freedom before having to come back to school for another five days. The music sounded like a violin and there were a few mistakes, but Rebecca hardly noticed them due to the fact that she knew nothing about playing the instrument.
Curious, she picked up her bag and went into the ochestra room where she had heard it, she opened the door to find a very familiar face standing behind a stand holding up music sheets. It was Klaus. The same boy who had been inside her brother's apartment. "Klaus.." Her voice was at normal tone yet it held a slight hint of shock.

Klaus kept on looking at the music sheet after he finished, specially the parts that he kept on messing up on. There were too many damn cords in the thing! And how it kept speeding up and then slowing down and then stopping for the singing parts was downright annoying.
But it was still a nice song. Morbid, but nice.
He was about to try it again, only going a bit slower this time, but then he heard a voice which caused him to look over at the door in surprise. Well well, wasn't this a familiar face...it was the girl, Rebecca, who was at Christopher's yesterday.
What was she doing here?
"Eh, it's Rebecca, right? What are you doing here?" He asked curiously with a bit of surprise, but there was no trace of annoyance in his voice even though he did want to get back to practicing. He honestly didn't expect her to be here! Not like he actually knew the girl, but still.

Rebecca felt a little guilt seep into her mind as she had interrupted Klaus while he was working hard at his violin practice. She stepped further into the room, her hazel eyes taking a quick glance around at all the instruments lying around, there were guitars through to wind instruments like flutes and other ones that Rebecca couldn't name. Musical instruments weren't really her strong point...
She blinked at Klaus's question and thought for a moment, recollecting everything that happened up until she decided to snoop out the ochestra room.
"Well, I came back from shopping to practice my choreographing assignment for Dance but once I got into the dance room I heard a violin playing. And to be completely honest, I got a little curious because well, it's like Sunday and not many people come to school on a Sunday, don't you agree?" As much as she had a growing, unreasonable dislike for the boy, she couldn't show it, he wasn't around her dear brother at the moment so.. Once she had finished talking she took a moment to look at Klaus properly. She wanted to see the colours emitting from his body in a soft glow. It looked very blue and orange but was that green she saw? Green always associated with jealousy but there was more to green. The aura seeing was so very vague..

"Mm, yeah, that's true. But that's why I'm practicing now," Klaus replied, though he was asking himself why she wasn't in the dance room working on her assignment then. She was rather bothersome...for whatever reason, Klaus couldn't really name why she bothered him. Maybe it was how talkative she was? Or...no, it couldn't be jealousy, could it? Why would he be jealous?!
Setting his violin aside with the utmost care, Klaus looked back over at Rebecca with a calm smile on his face. "Do you like music?" He asked, might as well attempt to get to know this girl that interrupted his time with Christopher. There was no need to be rude to her...it wasn't like he was jealous. Now that was a silly thought, why would he be jealous?

Was that red she saw seep into the emitting glow? She passed it off as nothing, surely he wouldn't be annoyed at her. No one got annoyed with her! She was just too adorable! Well, really, she only knew that from people like Christopher and all the girlfriends she had made (not in a sexual way at all).
His question made her stop and think, she folded her arms across her chest, her left fingers playing with the smooth material of the little black vest she had on. "Well, I do, sort of, I like listening to it and listening to people play but playing an instrument to make music kind of... scares me in a sense, I'm afraid to mess it up," She laughed nervously at the end of her sentence, she didn't like the idea of embarrassing herself like that. Unfolding her arms, she pulled out her half empty strawberry scented (and flavoured) lipgloss, applying it to her lips as they felt sticky and dry.

Haha, Klaus knew that feeling all too well, though he sucked up it because he loved making music and that other, secret reason no one really needed to know.
"Understandable," Klaus said, with a small laugh as he gave her another soft smile. "It is nerve wracking to play music, especially in front of people." Klaus paused, and started to think. He would try to get to know this girl (and why Christopher seemed to like her so much)...but how? So far, it seemed like they barely had any common ground, and Klaus did not want to mention or talk about Christopher with her...because Klaus didn't know what excuse his teacher used for why he was there yesterday...and Klaus didn't want to come off like he cared for Chris more than he should.
"I could play a song that you like if you'd like me to? I need to practice and well, playing any song'll keep my skills sharp," eh, it was something. Probably would get shot down but like Klaus cared what this girl had to say or do.

Rebecca could tell by the colours in his aura that he was suppressing something but all she knew were the colours not the real feeling, which felt odd to her since she was used to being able to guess so easily (this usually happened with Chris who she basically knew inside and out).
"Yeah, I know what you mean... I feel the same with dancing, the more nervous I feel the more likely I am to mess up.." She thought about her previous attempts in front of her teachers and a small audience, mainly her first try at it and horrible it was.
His invitation startled her. Was he offering to play for her? Seriously? After what happened at Chris's apartment? She shrugged it off and smiled warmly, "Sure!" She clapped her hands together and found a place to sit, applying more lipgloss.

Wow, really, she accepted? That was unexpected! Course he didn't really have any way of knowing if she would've accepted or not...
"Any song that you know of that you'd like me to play? Or would you like me to pick?" He asked as he picked up the bow for his violin once again. Turning his gaze to Rebecca, he waited for her answer. If he was told to pick something else he'd probably...pick something besides Gloomy Sunday, something that was prettier and less sad-sounding.

Rebecca froze for a moment at the question.
Picking a song for him to play? Ah, she knew hardly any that he could possibly play on the violin, though she assumed what you could play on the piano could be played on the violin. She shrugged a little, "How about you choose? It'll take less time," She giggled, a hint of nervousness entering her voice as she was half admitting she was indecisive at times.

"Okay then," he said, suppressing a light laugh as he picked up his sheet music as he looked for a piece he was comfortable with and that didn't require an accompaniment. "Gloomy Sunday" was out of the question already for multiple reasons. Hm, hm...finally, his eyes caught on a piece of music he was rather fond of (that he didn't think was too long, needed an accompaniment, or had vocals) by Leclair - Violin Sonata Op. 5 No. 6. Setting the sheet music on the stand and setting aside "Gloomy Sunday." After that he picked up his violin and made sure everything was in order. Finally, Klaus started to play with precision and finesse - most of his attention was on the music, though, and he pretty much forgot that Rebecca was in the room. All that mattered was the beautiful, lovely sound of his music, though it ended much sooner than he would have liked. Keeping his eyes on the sheet music for a while, Klaus smiled brightly to himself when he realized that he had done it perfectly! Yes!! All that training with Leclair's compositions was certainly paying off! He had forgotten that Rebecca was there completely. ((OoC: For the curious, here is the piece.))

For once in her life, Rebecca sat in silence.
Not because she didn't have anything to say.
But because she had respect for the boy, the moment he had started playing the song. She didn't know it, but she knew that he could play well, very well at that.
The entire time, Rebecca had lost herself in the music, the beautiful melody carressing her ears softly and she felt the urge to sing along and nearly did, her mouth was open, ready, but she caught herself right at the last minute.
She may have been told that she was good at it but she didn't intend on putting him off. The song came to a close and Rebecca clapped, her lips curved into a warm and bright smile as she sat on one of the wooden chairs in the room, she was beginning to feel uncomfortable but ignored it. Once she knew that he was finished, she stood up from the chair, "That was amazing! I can't believe you're so good, you can't really.. tell just by looking at you, wow! How long have you been playing~?" Kay, now she chattered on again.

Klaus quickly looked over to Rebecca when she clapped, clearly surprised to remember that he had an audience and...she seemed to like it. A warm, happy smile crossed his lips and he bowed a bit before he set his violin back down.
"Started taking lessons when I was...four? Yeah, that sounds right, so I have around 12 years of experience," he replied, his tone not really as bragging as you'd probably expect though he did sound proud of himself. He loved being good at the violin, he just thought it was a beautiful instrument. The viola was great too, and it was great when he wanted to play songs in a lower tone. Hm...maybe he should pick up a different instrument later on, too, maybe something other than a string instrument. A percussion instrument, maybe?

While Klaus had played, Rebecca had taken in some of the colours that emitted from his body. His obvious normal orange and blue were there but there were hints of other colours as well, she could see the passion he had for the instrument in the colour red that circled through the orange like a snake and she even thought she saw white subtly hiding out in there.
White meant complete and perfect balance. She had never ever seen anyone have even a speck of white in their aura before. Perhaps music and Klaus just happened to go hand in hand in their own special way? Either way, it actually made Rebecca smile and somewhat forget his presence at her brother's apartment.
His response to her question caused her hazel eyes to widen, twelve years!? Woah. "Woah, that's a long time, are your parents musicians or something? They must be or be heavily influenced by music as well for you to have been learning from such a young age," She stated, "Most parents get their kids interested in instruments early elementary years to keep them occupied, but.. but four?" The way she spoke made it clear she wasn't saying it was a bad thing just, uncommon where she came from. "Do you play any others besides the Violin?"

"My parents make a living from music, and they wanted me to follow their path, I guess," he said with a light shrug, leaving that at that. He really didn't know why his parents introduced him to the violin that early (not like he regretted it, he loved the instrument dearly and he held it close to his heart) and he probably never would. Oh well, it wasn't like it was important.
At the question, Klaus gave her a sleepish smile. "Well, I also play the viola...I'm not as good at it as I am with the violin. I've been studying that for...ah, six years, I think?"
