Haruka and Rai's Japanese Adventure

[Nicolette]

Haruka looked at the boy. It was times like these that she wondered how much he really knew about her. She was almost positive that he wasn't a mind reader, but she did wonder if there was something that kept him on the exact same page as her. He was always able to pick up on these things, which was odd at times, but good for the most part.

She clutched his hand. If she had to stay on the island, they would be separated... Haruka knew fate was cruel, but this crossed the line. Rai had told her that he loved her and Haruka knew she liked Rai very much... But when the break came to an end, then what? Rai would go back to the island and Haruka would stay in Japan...

She pulled him closer to her and kissed him softly on the lips. It's true that Haruka never had a boyfriend before, but one learns a bit from reading manga.

[Faye]

When it came right down to it, Rai knew next to nothing about the girl he had fallen in love with. No matter what, though, he'd always jump through hoops to impress her, make sure she was okay, be her friend, care for her, whatever she requested. He'd leave her alone forever if she really, really wanted it.

The moment her lips touched his, his heart skipped a few beats, his mind completely melting into her touch. His lips moved against hers, his eyes fluttering closed. There was the odd girl here and there for Rai, he'd kissed before, but nothing had been as mindblowing as Haruka's. Even the slightest touch of her skin against his fired electricity through his whole body, his heart raced and his knees felt weak.

To keep himself up, he clutched the white sheet on the bed, kissing her softly.

[Nicolette]

The rest of the afternoon was spent in relative quietness. Haruka had convinced Rai that it was alright if he got a little bit of sleep and she had busied herself in running her fingers through his hair. She kept her mind off the horrible thoughts of her past and what might happen for her future. She, instead, focused on the present, and wondered if this meant that she and Rai were a couple now. She would blush everytime the thought came to her mind.

A couple of hours later, Yukari and Ryotaro returned. Haruka asked about her mother and found that her mother had been taking more therapy and seemed relatively normal when they had visted her. When she asked about her own release time from the hospital, she found that she would be allowed to go home within the next few hours, once her doctor had a chance to check on her again and change her into new bandages.

The sun had already set and the cool night air caused her to shiver as she got out of the car that evening, waiting for Rai to join her before she took his hand and walked with him into the house. She led him upstairs and she looked at her room for a brief moment before she turned to Rai.

"...Let's go to your room."

[Faye]

Despite his protesting, Rai finally had decided that he needed sleep. Haruka wasn't going anywhere anytime soon so he slowly drifted off to sleep, blackness clouding everything.

His dreams mainly focused on Haruka, memories to be precise. Especially from when they spied on the Student Council Vice-President that night, the kisses, Haruka holding his hand ever since she got afraid of the dark. A smile was plastered onto his lips the whole time he slept.

As the day drifted on, Haruka's grandparents had come back to visit Haruka, waking Rai up, groggily he sat up in his seat and remained silent while they conversed. Then, it was time to leave. Rai joined Haruka in the car, gently squeezing her hand as she grabbed a hold of his.

Once they had arrived back at her grandparents home, Haruka had led them upstairs, they stood in the hall way and she spoke. He blinked. To his room? "Er, okay," He replied, leading her to the guest room of the house, opening the door and stepping to the side, "After you."

[Nicolette]

Haruka walked into the room and looked around it. She remembered the room to have been a play room for her when she was a child. She had shared a room with her mother up until she and her mother moved into an apartment further out in Minato-ku, just before Haruka's first year at T'zenshin. However, it had been quite some time since Haruka had last been in the apartment, seeing as she had moved back to her grandparent's house after her mother had begun to become violent around her.

She walked over to Rai's bed and fell down upon it, letting out a sigh, before she looked over at the boy. She motioned for him to join her.

[Faye]

Rai stood in the door way, waiting for Haruka to move, he jsut watched her peer around the room, obviously remembering some memories of being in that room. He wondered what they were.

As she lay down on the bed, a smile tugged at his lips and he came to join her on the bed when she requested him to. He sat down at first, looking back at Haruka before he lay back beside her, staring at the ceiling.

"Rough couple of days, huh..."

[Nicolette]

Once she figured Rai was comfortable enough on the bed, she moved closer to him and let her head rest on his chest. She was quiet for a moment, only nodding in response to his question. It had been a crazy couple of days and she felt horrible that he had to witness everything that had happened. This was the biggest reason for her hesitation to let him come along with her.

She let out a small sigh, letting the subject drop from her mind. Her thin fingers clutched gently at his shirt for a moment before she sat up, looking back at him.

"Hey... On my bed, in my bedroom... Could you go get your jacket...?" She could feel a blush warm her cheeks as she pretty much admitted that she slept with his jacket in her bed.

[Faye]

His smile grew as she moved closer, her head rested on his chest. He brought an arm around to hold her, his hand resting on her shoulder, gently stroking it. His other hand was rested on top of hers that was clutching the material of his shirt, his figners gently ran over the top of her knuckles.

Her question puzzled him, "Um, okay" He felt his own blush rise to his cheeks, she still had his jacket and brought it with her? He slowly got up off the bed and went down the hall to her bedroom. Inside his mind flashed back to when he found her that night, blood was still stained in the carpet, it would take awhile before the stain could be removed enough for it not to be visible. He glanced at her bed, seeing the jacket. Picking it up off the bed, he quickly exited the room again, he felt weird being in there again after what had happened.

Now back in the guest room where he was staying, he handed Haruka the jacket, sitting on the bed beside her.

Haruka waited patiently for the boy to return, and held her arms out gladly to accept the jacket when he did. She clutched it close to her chest with one arm and used her other arm to push him back down on the bed. She laid back in their original position on the bed, with her head on his chest and clutching his shirt with one hand, the other holding his jacket to her chest.

"Your jacket... it's a comfort to me..." She admitted softly, her cheeks turning a deeper pink. "I...I'll admit, for a while... I wasn't sure how much I liked you. In the beginning, you were just some new guy to the group, and I didn't think much of it... But as we continued to interact, and then became partners... I felt like there was something there for you. Even when I admitted my previous feelings for Kyerin.... I had fought myself in my mind, asking myself which one I wanted to admit feelings for... I only chose Kyerin because I knew him longer....

"And after he rejected me... I made a blood swear to myself that I would never speak of my feelings for anyone again... I didn't want to be rejected like that ever again... And so, when you told me you loved me, back at the hospital... I was truly surprised... That someone could like someone like me..." Her voice became even softer in the end.

[Faye]

Rai was startled as she pushed him back down on the bed, he laughed gently, she was demanding sometimes but it was cute. He formed the position he was in previously, his fingers running over her knuckles while the other rubbed her shoulder.

He smiled when she spoke of his jacket, he was glad about that. However, the more she talked, how in-depth she was going about how she felt about him and everything else made him blush and it confused him. Maybe it was just a distraction from her family to talk about this instead? Oh well, it gave him a chance to know how she really felt about it.

"Right from the word go, I thought you were beautiful, you're so hard on yourself, Haru-chan, you can't see that you're great to be around, intelligent.." He decided that he may as well put in a confession in there too since she was, "It hurt me a lot when you had confessed to Kyerin, I thought we had something special," He swallowed, holding her closer to him, he felt as if she was going to slip away from him.

[Nicolette]

Haruka clutched Rai's shirt tighter in her small fingers, moving closer to him at his confession. A small whimper escaped her throat and she felt horrible for having done that to him. She moved her hand from his shirt up to his shoulder, bringing her arm to wrap around his neck as she moved herself up, resting her face in the crook of his neck, her breath soft against his skin.

"I was foolish, and for that, I have been punished. I was rejected and I made myself pay for it... But no more will you have to dwell on it... If you're willing to taken damaged goods, then I'm all yours." Her voice was barely above a whisper.

[Faye]

He kissed her cheek a few times in different places as she shifted upwards, her head resting in the crook of his neck. He get his arms around her, rubbing her back gently.

"Don't worry about it, everything worked out alright," He whispered softly to her. Though the last part of her sentence made the blush on his cheeks darken to a tomato red colour, his eyes widened a little at the thought of being in a relationship with Haruka, a romantic one. His face softened and he closed his eyes, holding her close to him, "Well I guess that makes it official."

[Nicolette]

Haruka smiled, her lips brushing gently against his neck. She kissed his neck gently before she sat up and brought her hand up to her eyes. She took her glasses off and reached out to set them on the table next to his bed. She blinked a few times, her vision becoming blurred, before she lied back down next to her new boyfriend. She pressed her face to his neck again and shut her eyes as she snuggled close to him.

[Faye]

Ah, what he had wanted for so long was now his, he could finally hold Haruka in his arms, kiss her, talk to her as if she were his girlfriend. Because she was. It made him smile constantly, the smile never faded from his face the whole time he lay there with her.

Their little moment was disrupted by the loud grumbling sound that radiated from Rai's stomach. He jerked a little, his hand holding his stomach in attempt to stop it from ruining the moment but it wouldn't stop. He couldn't blame it, though, he hadn't eaten much at all since he had found Haruka in her room, he'd spent most of his time watching her sleep, talking to her and keeping her company.

"Sorry"

[Nicolette]

Haruka couldn't help but let out a laugh at the sound of his stomach. She gave him a soft kiss on his cheek before she moved out of his hold, clutching his jacket.

"You should have told me you were hungry. I don't know if Obaasan is going to make dinner, but I have a mini-fridge in my bedroom that I restocked the other night. There should be something in there that can hold you over for a little while."

She laid back on his back, her head falling against his pillow. She hugged the jacket to her chest, looking so tiny compared to it.
