March 16, 2012...
The Student Freedom Force would be having a brief meeting that day to discuss any last minute things before the break. However, a crucial member would be missing that day. She had a very good reason to be missing the meeting, seeing as the meeting was in less than an hour and she was in her dormitory room, frantically throwing things into a suitcase. She wasn't sure how long she'd be gone, but she needed her most crucial items, such as her laptop and her computer accessories. She couldn't leave anything important behind.
In the middle of the table of the SFF room was a single letter with the word 'Sorry' written in near kanji. When opened, the letter would also be written in kanji, though it was also written in simple hiragana down at the bottom. She wasn't sure if Kyerin was fluent in kanji reading, so she included hiragana in it as well. Hopefully he would understand it.
I apologize for my sudden disappearance. There has been an emergency back in Japan and my presence was requested back home with my grandparents. I received a call early this morning and I have a flight scheduled for two o'clock this afternoon. When you read this, it'll probably be about noon or so. I will be leaving for the airport at twelve thirty, so you can see where this conflicts with meeting with the group today.
Again, I deeply apologize. I will send all the information I have researched via private email once I am settled back home. I am unsure of how long I will be gone, or if I'll even be returning to the Institute after this. I will call you if that is the case.
Have a safe vacation, and tell the others to do the same.
Haruka'
She was dressed in a long sleeved black shirt with a pair of comfortable jeans. She wore Rai's jacket (which he had given her) comfortably on her body). She slung her backpack (which held a few of her smaller electronics) onto her back and picked up her suitcase, moving to look around her bedroom one last time. She moved over to her nightstand and pulled out her small little bit, slowly slipping it into her suitcase before zipping it up and heading for her door.

He was going to be EARLY!
Oh he felt proud.
It was nearly quarter to whenever the meeting was meant to be, he couldn't remember. But, earliness! EARLY! Maybe he'd beat Haruka. Pfft, like that would ever happen. He walked swiftly down the halls, he had ditched his class for that period, not caring so much about English, and had made a dash for the Student Freedom Force office room. There was a scheduled meeting to take place in there at noon and he was going to be ear~ly~.
He ran a hand through his hair as he stopped in front of the door, his hand pushing the door open, revealing that no one was in there at all. It was empty, deserted, like a ghost town. A little stuffy, too.
Walking inside, Rai dumped his bag on the table in the middle of the room, stretching a little before his greyish blue eyes caught glimpse of a letter on the table. It read 'sorry' in Japanese. Curiously, he picked it up off the wooden table, slowly opening the letter to reveal that it was from Haruka. He read the letter slowly, "I will be leaving for the airport at twelve thirty..." He recited to himself in his native tongue, his eyes went wide as it settled in.
Haruka was leaving. Leaving the island. No... she couldn't. He stuffed the letter into his pocket, forgetting about the rest of the team and ran out the door, leaving it wide open.
It took him a further ten minutes to make his dash to the lobby of the girl's dormitories, assuming she was there. The bell had gone for lunch so the meeting would have started by now at least. He pushed the door open, making his way to the stairwell, it seemed a lot faster at that point. He had gone to Haruka's dormitory once before so he tried to remember the numbers on the front... 5 something... five zero... what was it!?
He had run up the flights of the stairs quickly, feeling the burning of his calf muscles settle in the more he pushed himself up the continuous stair cases. He was now on the fifth floor, he used the door to keep himself up as he panted violently, he hadn't run that fast in forever.
Slowly he began walking down the hall until he found the door that struck a nerve, it had to be her dorm... He knocked on the door with the back of his hand, waiting impatiently.

As Haruka left her bedroom, she shut off the light and shut the door. She turned and took her keys from her jeans pocket, putting the key into the door and securely locking it. She placed the keys back in her pocket before she looked around the dormitory main room. None of her belongings were in here, so leaving would be easy. She started for the door and the second she reached it, there was a frantic knock at her door. Her eyes widened and she stared at it curiously before she slowly opened the door.
"R-Rai-kun...?" She asked, her voice holding shock. "Wh-what are you doing here...?"

Rai leaned against the door frame as he caught his breath, hoping Haruka would take a bit to answer, he didn't want to seem out of breath when she opened the door but at the same time, he wanted more than anything for her to answer straight away.
His heart skipped a beat as he heard the door opening, being pulled inside as it slowly revealed Haruka standing there, in shock because he was there. He swallowed, taking a deep breath as he tried to calm down a little, sweat had embedded itself at the tops of his brow but that he was going to blame on running with a stuffy uniform on.
"B-because... you're leaving... why are... well I know why but... why.. can I... Can I go with you..?" He couldn't bare to have her leave without him, he didn't want to spend his days alone without her being there, he wanted to stay by her side always. Maybe she could use the company so it could be easier to deal with?

Haruka took in the boy's appearance. Had he really run all the way from the Student Freedom Force office just to see her before she left? However, at his comment, her eyes widened even more in shock and her breath ceased for a few seconds.
Come with her to go home...?
It was very true that Rai was a native to Japan as well. And, in truth, he was her only real friend these days (besides Faye). It would be nice to have such a familiar face, one of someone she had been working by for the past couple of months. But she couldn't ask that of him.
"I can't ask that of you..." She repeated her thoughts, her eyes turning away. "For one, what about your own family back home? And even if you hadn't been planning to go home for the break, aren't there things you had planned to do?"

Of course Rai wasn't expecting her to agree straight away, Haruka wasn't that kind of person. He took a deep breath and released it, trying to calm his heart down. He had run all the way from the Student Freedom Force office but he knew he was fitter than this, or maybe it was just because he hadn't be P.E yet. At this rate, he wasn't going to since he was going to be persistent about going with Haruka.
He ran a hand through his hair, brushing the bangs out of his eyes, "My parents are too busy this break for me to go back, I'm going back next break." He was actually telling the truth, his parents had called him up a week or so ago to tell him that they would have to postpone their get together for the following. "And I wanted to spend some of my break with.. with you, so if you're leaving, I can't do that, can I?" He smiled a little.

Haruka stared at the boy for a moment before she sighed, leaning up against her door frame. He did have a point... And since nothing seemed to be getting in his way, he'd be absolutely free. There was no one she could tell him no, even if she wanted to (which she didn't).
"You have exactly twenty minutes to get your things packed. Remember to have a carry-on bag for anything you can't be without on the plane. I will be waiting outside the lobby to the boys' dormitory. I called for a taxi to arrive at twelve thirty, so you must be quick." She pushed her glasses up. "I need to call the airport and arrange for a second ticket to be waiting under my name for you."
She pulled a small cell phone from the jacket pocket. She gave him a look. "Well, hurry up!"

Rai felt triumphant when she agreed, he sighed in relief, at least he wouldn't be moping around the island with nothing to do all break. He was going back to his home country, Ja~pan~ with his love, Haruka~ Wee~ it was going to be a fantastic break. Unfortunately, he was getting excited over nothing, the reason for Haruka going there wasn't exactly a happy one, which he had forgotten for the time being.
She then gave him a look which made him tremble a little, "Okay! See you soon, then," He waved quickly and dashed for the stairs. Oh dear, the boy's dormitory was a little bit of a run but that was only because of the stairs.
To cut time down for him, instead of running down every single step he jumped down the flights of stairs, ignoring the ground shock he was receiving from every landing he made. He was sure he would end up spraining his ankle at some point in this act. Without any more interruptions, Rai bolted out the door that lead into the girl's dormitories and out into the lobby, making a run for the boy's dormitories. Fortunately for him, the run up the stairs to his dorm wasn't as long as going to Haruka's, he was only on the third floor. Once at the correct floor, he frantically fished around for his keys in his pocket and threw open the door, leaving it wide open as he went into his bedroom. Oh no, what about his fish!? He went to them first and placed them enough food to last them until they would get back.
He then went into his bedroom, pulling out the large suitcase he used to pack his things when he first came here and set it out on his bed, unzipping it and leaving it open. He went into his wardrobe and grabbed all the pairs of jeans he had, a few pairs of shorts, all the shirts he could find and a couple of hoodies in case it got cold. He folded them all up half assed and placed them neatly into the suit case. He had exactly fifteen minutes now. Panicking he went to his drawers and pulled out all the pairs of socks he had and put two extra pairs of shoes into his suit case. He then grabbed a pair of navy blue jeans and a random black t-shirt which he threw onto his body after stripping down from his school uniform.
Finally, now that his clothes were sorted out he went into the bathroom to grab some of the necessities like maybe shampoo and his razor so he could shave and some face wash as well as his tooth brush (he was tidy). He may be a guy but he looked after his skin! Back in his room again, he placed the toiletries into one of the slots down the side and grabbed his phone and iPod charger which he placed down beside his clothes. He put his phone and iPod into the carry on bag he was going to take on there. He packed his Nintendo DS and it's charger into the carry on bag as well.
Thinking that would be enough things to last him until they got back, he knew they would get food over there. As a last minute thing, he picked up his wallet, making sure every cent he had was in there as well as his cards and slipped it into the carry on bag. He closed the suitcase and zipped it up and picked it up, glancing at the time to see he had only two minutes to get down to the lobby.
Sighing he quickly picked everything up, made sure all the switches were off and went out the door, locking it behind him. He then went to the elevator (there was no way he was carrying a suitcase down the stairs) and made it down to the ground floor where he walked out into the lobby to find Haruka. Hopefully he wasn't too late... It was a very frantic packing, he also hoped he had everything he would need... he dreaded the thought of having forgotten something but he could surely buy it when they were in Japan.

Haruka waited patiently outside the boys' dormitories while she waited for Rai. She had made it down there about ten minutes after he did and she had placed her phone to her ear. She spoke with the attendent in charge of flights and apologized for the inconvenience. She was quite lucky to be able to get two seats next to each other for the flight. She was also lucky that T'zen Island was located in the middle of the Pacific, so they wouldn't have to make any transfers to another plane. Their plane went directly to Tokyo Internation Airport, where her grandparents would be waiting.
She bit her lip and considered calling her grandparents, but that's when Rai arrived outside. She grabbed the handle of her suitcase and picked it up, motioning for him to follow her as she started for the front of the school. Just as they arrived, the taxi pulled up and Haruka waved it down. The driver got out to help Haruka and Rai with their bags, helping them load the bags into the trunk. Once everything was loaded, Haruka moved to the backseat of the car and once Rai was in, the taxi drove away from the school, heading for the T'zen Island International Airport.

Rai contemplated taking the suitcase off her so he could carry it for her but then the taxi turned up to take them to the airport, they still had quite a bit of time until the actual plane was taking off since if he remembered correctly, the plan left at two o'clock this afternoon. He helped the taxi driver pack their things into the boot of the car and kept his carry on bag slung around his shoulder and went round to the back seat, sitting on the opposite seat to Haruka.
Since she had said anything, he didn't bother talking, he had no idea what to talk about, for now he just looked out the window, watching the scenery and thinking about his fish. His poor fish... luckily he had recently cleaned their tank, too. "My poor fish..." He murmured silently to himself in their native language.

Haruka sat quietly in the backseat, gazing out the window at the scenery. She did her best to memorize every feature of the land, as if this was her last time seeing it. Hell, for all she knew, it could very well be her last day on T'zen Island. Her mother's health could take a turn for the worst, and Haruka could have to stay to help her grandparents.
She slid her eyes shut for a moment, though she opened them and glanced back at the boy next to her when he muttered something about his fish. She blinked for a moment before she hugged Rai's jacket around her tiny form. The airport was about twenty minutes away from the school, and then it'd take about twenty minutes to get everything situated with the flight. That would mean it would be about one fifteen when they finished. Fourty-five minutes would remain before their fight took off, and they had to be on the plane fifteen minutes before take off, which left them with thirty minutes to do nothing while they waited for the flight.
The airport soon came into sight and the taxi pulled up to the front of the large area. The man got out once more to help his passengers and Haruka paid him before he left. She picked up her things and started forward toward the airport lobby.

While worrying about his fish, Rai noticed the few things that he hadn't seen before on the island, he saw the Marl Peaks where he wanted to take Haruka one night if they ever returned together. He hoped they would... he couldn't bare to live without her and he was sure he would be pushing it if he asked to stay with them if Haruka had to stay to help out.
They finally turned up at the airport and the taxi driver was paid by Haruka, to Rai's irritation and their luggage was unloaded from the boot. He grabbed Haruka's suitcase before she could, poking his tongue out at her teasingly, she would only be carrying her carry on bag now. "What first?" He asked, they would have to grab their tickets and get their luggage sorted out. He wondered if there was enough time for a bite to eat before the flight over.

"Tickets." Haruka replied simply and they were off to the ticket counter.
They waited in line for quite a while, but she didn't mind it. She kind of liked that things were moving slow... The slower things went, the more time she'd have to mentally prepare herself for anything that might happen. The girl took her wallet from her carry on and took out her Identification card, showing it to the lady at the counter who entered the information in.
They were handed their tickets and Haruka looked at her cell phone. They had thirty minutes. She looked around the airport area as they turned their luggage over to the staff and she carried her backpack on her back as she walked around, looking for somewhere simple.
She spotted a small little fast food joint and decided that there would be the fastest place to get some food before the flight. She'd skipped breakfast, so she'd need to eat a least a little. She tugged on Rai's shirt before she led him over to the food area. Once at the counter, she ordered a small salad and fries, taking her wallet back out.

Rai nodded, following Haruka to where they would get their tickets for their flight back to their home country. They were waiting in line for a bit and Rai was beginning to get impatient but he kept it under wraps since Haruka didn't seem to mind waiting for so long. Since the lady didn't ask for his ID, he didn't get his wallet out and just waited behind Haruka as if he were her boyfriend. Which he wasn't. Sadly.
Once that was done, they handed their luggage over to the person in charge of it and they were now free of giant suitcases and could walk around freely. Their walk lead them to come into sights of a fast food joint, Haruka had tugged on his shirt and he followed her, ordering a burger and french fries. He needed food and he needed a lot of it and for now this would have to do, he couldn't wait to have some real Japanese food back home. He paid for his own meal.
"Where do you wanna sit?" He asked as they waited for the meal to be finished.

Haruka gazed around the area dully before she pointed out an empty table nearby. Their food arrived and she took her tray, heading over to the table she'd pointed at. She set it down and took her cup over to fill up her drink. Mountain Dew was her choice, considering she needed to keep awake.
Once she was seated again, she took a few fries and shoved them in her mouth.
