[This thread is basically for Haruka and Rai but anyone in the SFF (which is Kyerin...) can join since it is the Student Freedom Force office]
Escaping from everyones' talking was difficult, it had gotten to the point where Rai decided to spend his lunch hour in the Student Freedom Force office to try and get some peace (minus a few mutterings here and there) since the office was situated away from the cafeteria and where most of the students would be at this time. There was only a little bit to go with the school day and it was already starting to cool right down so Rai had put on the hoody he shoved in his bag prior to going to school.
Dark intimidating clouds hung over the school, they looked like they were about to spill their guts of water but they hadn't quite yet. They left hardly any light in the rooms of the school so all the lights were on, including the one in the Student Freedom Force office. Rai had taken a seat at one of desks and resting his head in his arms while they rested on top of the desk top. His hands reached into his bag and he pulled out a box full of sushi that he had freshly prepared for himself this morning. He rubbed his hands together and a smile formed across his face as he opened the box and began eating it. The sushi consisted of crab meat and avacado.
Of course that's not what all he had to eat, he had a few other japanese styled snacks stored away in his bag. He was just hoping no one would come into the room.

A new year had risen.
The soft tapping of her shoes as she walked quickly down the hall was the only thing that could be heard in the hall that lead toward the Student Freedom Force office. It was her second year as the intelligence technician of the SFF. Usually she would have been in the office only a minute or so after the bell rang to begin lunch, but she had been kept back by a teacher asking her a question.
But now, Haruka Amagi was walking to the office, one hand gripping a briefcase while the other hand rose up to push her glasses higher up. Her back pack hung loosely on her back, filled with only the necessities for the day's class. She turned a corner and finally came upon her destination. She pushed open the door and walked inside, ignoring the other occupant of the room as she walked to the corner of the room and set her briefcase on the table.
She dropped her backpack on the floor and sat down in the chair, pulling her chair forward before she moved her hand to the side of the briefcase. She brought her nail underneath a little cover and opened it up to take the end of a power cord out of the side. She leaned over and plugged the cord into wall.
She then moved her hand to a button near the handle of the briefcase. She pressed her thumb against a small pad and it took her thumb print before a small compartment opened, asking for a password and providing a few buttons to do so. She pressed in the proper buttons in the right order and the briefcase clicked, opening up.
She opened it up and unfolded the bottom so she could rest her hands comfortably at the keyboard of the laptop that was built inside the laptop. She pressed a button that turned it on and it booted up before a screen came up that asked for a username and a password. She entered in the first set and then answered a secret question it asked. She did this three times before she finally got to her desktop, which had the logo for the SFF as the background.
She reached for her stomach and felt for one of her flashdrives. She felt over a few of them until she found the one she had been looking for. She unhooked it from the lanyard around her neck and plugged it in to the inside of the side of the briefcase. She entered the password required to get inside the files and the file popped up, showing databases for the Student Freedom Force.
It was then that she realized she was not alone. Dark grey eyes darted over to the other occupant of the room. Someone unfamiliar, though she was sure she would be able to get his information soon enough, especially since she was in charge of keeping files on the members of the SFF. However, if he was just an outsider, a new year, stepping into their territory, then there would be a problem.
She was silent, however, waiting for the boy to address her first. He seemed familiar... She then remembered where she'd seen him. He was in her government class and her gym class. However, the most she knew of him, though, was his name. Rai Aikaryu. Japanese, she could assume from the name... And yet, he didn't look fully Japanese, like herself. She could only make wild guesses at this point, which wasn't something she enjoyed doing since she was used to knowing more than the average person.

Mmmm~ Crab stick and avacado sushi~ Oh how it was one of his favourites out of all the sushi he made. Of course, he would never make one with fish in it. He was sure his fish would secretly give him death stares and ignore him if he did so, it was bad enough he liked crab. With the chopsticks in his hand firmly gripping the piece of sushi, he lifted it to his mouth and took a bite. To be honest, he could never eat one whole, even though it was respectful to eat it all in one go for some strange reason, but he wasn't sure if that was true.
While he neatly chewed the food in his mouth, a shiver ran down his spine, "Aaah it's so cold..." He said, placing the chopsticks and the sushi down to rub his hands together so they could warm up. At least the heating was going and the room would be much more toasty soon enough.
Just as he was about to continue eating, he heard the door open, the sound made him freeze up and his eyes were glued to the door slowly opening which soon revealed a girl walking in. Rai blinked, she was a little younger than him it seemed, but she was very cute, that part was obvious. Even behind those glasses. He found himself unable to go back to his eating, he was just so shocked at the sudden movement within the room and the fact that she hadn't noticed he was here as well, yet. He watched her fiddle around for flash drives for her computer, well he assumed it was a computer though it did look a bit like a briefcase. Smart...
But something was bugging him, she looked so familiar. Not familiar as in 'Oh I saw you walking to class once', it was like they had a class together. Rai thought for a moment, trying to remember.... Government! And P.E of course. She was the one that seemed the most reluctant about that subject.
Finally, she had noticed him, but she didn't say anything. How awkward. He swallowed the lump in his throat and smiled lightly to her "Hi there."

Haruka kept her eyes on him for just a moment more before she looked back down at the computer. She grabbed at her stomach again for another flash drive and plugged it into another slot of the computer. She opened the files of the drive and she found the program that linked in to the school directory (she had stolen it at the beginning of the previous school term and had updated it at the beginning of this school term). She found the name Aikaryu and entered in to it.
"Rai Aikaryu." She said, her pronunciation at his name flawless. "Male. Sixteen years of age. An eleventh year. Just as I had thought." Her eyes rose to look at him again, pushing her glasses up. "We share the same Government class."
She moved her body to the side a little, so she could place her leg over her other leg, placing her elbow on her knee and her hand beneath her chin as she looked the boy over.
"However... The real question would be if you knew what this room is for?" She tilted her head to the side, genuine curiosity clear in her eyes.

Noticing that she had once again clutched at her stomach to grab another flash drive Rai turned back to his half eaten piece of sushi. He picked it up with his fingers this time and pushed it into his mouth, he felt weird having half eaten food sitting around while he was talking to another person. Especially a stranger. Well not necessarily a stranger but someone he didn't know so well as since she was obviously far more sophisticated than him.
Rai blinked. How on earth did she know his name? He turned his head to the side a bit and noticed that she was staring at something on her laptop which she was reading aloud. Creepy. She had all of his information on there? That was pretty cool but it was still creepy. He wondered how many other students were on there. She might even have the entire school...
Creepy.
He closed the box of sushi and pushed it forward so he could rest his arms on the table he was seated at. "Uh yeah, I'm a part of the SFF... I thought all members were allowed in here?" He thought he may as well leave his main reason for being in that room until later on, unless she some how miraculously already knew he was Clairaudient. Now that would be disturbing.

Ah, so she was correct in her deductions. It was good that he was a member and not some idiot who had come into territory that he didn't belong in. A small smirk slipped over her lips as she turned back to the computer and highlighted the boy's transcript, copying it and pasting it into the file she had for the SFF. She titled a folder with the name 'Rai Aikaryu' and pasted the transcript inside. Now, if she had been found doing this, she could get in quite the trouble, but what Student Council didn't know wouldn't hurt them. She had the most recent transcripts of all SFF members, including Kyerin and herself.
"Yes, members are allowed in here, Aikaryu. I was just making sure that you were a member. Seventh graders have often wandered in here... So I was merely curious as to your reason of being here. Continue what you were doing; don't mind me. I'll leave you alone."
She turned her body to her computer and focused her eyes on it. Kyerin had asked her to update her files, which she had done in the past week. However, what else was there to do? She grabbed another flashdrive and plugged it in, opening up the third file as well. The Student Council file. She had yet to update it and though Kyerin hadn't given her the order to do so, she figured she might as well do it. She needed to enter the new members and such.
She went through the student directory, her eyes scanning down for a major name she remembered from the opening speech.

That he hadn't heard of, but then again he didn't come in here very often. Only when Kyerin had asked him to. Which again, was hardly ever since he barely saw Kyerin around the campus. Although it did seem pretty likely, seventh graders were new and knew nothing about what they were allowed to do and what they weren't allowed to do. He listened to her talk and when she finished she went straight back to her computer and Rai sat there for a moment. He was trying to process everything.
"Um, okay..." He muttered as he turned back to his crab and avacado sushi box that sat just in front of him. He was opened it back up and withdrew another piece which was lifted up with his chopsticks. Just as he was about to place the sushi into his mouth he realised something..
He didn't even know her name.
He placed the chopsticks back down so they rested on top of his box so they weren't touching the dirty table (even though it didnt look dirty) "Can I ask what your name is?" He asked, he didn't have flash USB thingies to tell him who people were. All he had was what people were saying and she hadn't said anything about her name yet. They may be in the same Government class but that didn't mean he remembered her name. Actually, he was bad at names. Very bad. Information generally went in one ear and out the other.

Haruka heard him address her again and she looked over at him, not raising her hands from her keyboard as she did so. He was asking for her name? It had been a while since someone had been curious of her name. She hadn't ever been the most popular person, so it was rather nice to have people address her. She gave a small smirk and brought a hand up to push her glasses up, keeping her eyes on the boy.
However, she wanted to do a little test first. "My name is Haruka Amagi. It is a pleasure to meet you." She said fluently in Japanese. His name was Japanese... But he didn't look completely of Japanese descent. She wanted to see if he at least knew what she had said.
[Words in italics will be words she speaks in Japanese, for future reference]

Rai was slightly intimidated by the smirk the girl had given him once he had addressed her again. He swallowed, wondering what evil plot she was scheming (she seemed the type to do that). He personally felt like forgetting about his question and going back to his sushi, lunch would be finishing soon and he hadn't even gotten anywhere near half way through his lunch. A quiet rumbling noise escaped from his stomach and Rai reached down to clutch it. While he waited for her reply he picked up the rest of a piece of sushi and placed it into his mouth.
He nearly choked on the piece when he heard her speaking Japanese. Her pronounciation was flawless and had a nice ring to it. Her voice seemed to change accent slightly when she spoke in Japanese compared to when she spoke English. "Aaah, it's nice to meet you too. You have a pretty name, Haru-chan," He replied back with the same flawless Japanese pronounciation. Haha, take that~!
Although he had accidentally added an unnecessary honourific to her name, he was rather friendly with anyone so it was hard to break habits.
[Words in Italics will also be spoken in Japanese for Rai]

Haruka froze for a moment, surprised by the honorific he used at the end of her shortened first name. She was very surprised at how forward he was. Surprised enough that a pink blush rose over her cheeks.
He was fluent enough to understand what she said and respond properly, so she was sure that he knew of how the honorifics worked.
"A-ah, thank you, Aikaryu-san..." She replied, staying in her native language. She prefered Japanese over English and finding someone who spoke it made things much easier and more enjoyable for her. She was quiet for a moment as she looked at her computer screen and thought over his name.
"Your name has a nice ring to it, actually. Rai Aikaryu. Rai. Ai. Ka. Ryu." She said his name in individual syllables, testing it out a few times. She couldn't help but smile just a little. "Sorry... It's been a while since I've met someone else who had a Japanese name, much less spoke Japanese. The only other person I know that I talk to is Saito-sama."

To Rai everyone was his friend, more so for people who took the time to talk to him. So they generally got a honourific of some sort, unless they didn't speak to him Japanese. He felt strange about talking English to someone and suddenly adding -chan or -san onto the end of their name when they clearly have no idea about that system. When he lived in Japan, however, almost everyone was addressed with such things.
A smile slipped onto his lips when she continued to speak in their native language, it felt nice to speak it. In fact, he kind of missed Japan and sometimes wished he could be back there. However, T'zenshin Institute had its perks. "You're welcome, Haru-chan," He closed his eyes as he smiled to the girl.
A small chuckle escaped his lips when she began saying the individual syllables of his name, "Your's does too. Ha. Ru. Ka. Ama. Gi. And it's nice to speak to someone in Japanese, isn't it? Feels more natural." It did, really. It was kind of hard getting used to talking English all the time, especially how much he loved to socialise with other people. "How long have you been in the SFF?" He asked, continuing their Japanese conversation.

He spoke her thoughts and she smiled slightly, bringing a hand up to push her glasses up. She found herself able to relax a bit more with the comfort of her language and just the light atmosphere that Rai gave just from being there. She nodded in response to his question on how it felt comfortable to speak Japanese. She opened her mouth to speak for his next question.
"I was an ordinary member in my eighth grade year. Last year was when I became the intelligence force of the Student Freedom Force." She brought a hand up to brush her bangs over her forehead, though they fell right back in to place. For the moment, her computer stayed open, though the screensaver soon kicked on.

Rai nodded, so his thoughts were correct. She was an intelligent person, interesting~ made her even more attractive, really. He turned to his box of sushi and ate another piece, he felt more comfortable about eating in front of her now since they were conversing in their native language and the awkwardness from people seemed to have lifted from the atmosphere, creating a more light and calm one. "Aaah, eight grade? I only joined in my tenth year which was last year but I didn't join until the very last few weeks of it..." He may be clueless most of the time but he wasn't stupid enough to think she didn't suit the intelligence part of the SFF. Because she definitely did.

Haruka thought back and she realized she had very briefly seen him during the end of the school year the previous year. She then realized that he didn't know what year she was... But she decided it would be alright to keep it to herself unless he asked. She nodded lightly in response to his words.
"So you were here when our previous leader Richard Moore was running things. He was a decent leader, actually. The previous intelligence force Natasha Petersen spoke to him at the end of her twelfth year in order to get me to the position I am at now. I had to pass quite a test to earn this spot, but it wasn't anything too hard. And the job itself is quite simple when you have the skills I possess."
And without skipping a beat, she continued to say, "Is that crab and avacado sushi?"

He would say he had seen her briefly throughout the course of the previous year but he couldn't really remember much of that year to be honest. In fact, he couldn't remember what he did this morning, apart from talk to his fish. He mentally sighed, he wondered how they were doing at the moment. He wished he could leave for a few minutes to go check on them.
Rai nodded slowly as Haruka explained how she got her position on the Student Freedom Force, he understood most of it as he did recall Richard Moore being the leader then. Although, he didn't recognise the name Natasha Petersen. "I'm sure it wasn't difficult.." He replied, smiling another smile.
He blinked when she pointed out his sushi, he looked down at the open container of cleanly cut sushi and nodded, "Yes... Would you like some?" He most definitely didn't mind sharing~!
