One Last Kiss [Harai.]

[Faye]

His cheeks turned a darker shade of read as she turned away from him, her back wasn't as scarred as the rest of her body, but that was more than likely because she couldn't reach far behind her back. He watched as the material fell perfectly back into place over her small frame. He then turned his gaze away as she spoke.

"You weren't making me uncomfortable," He lied, he didn't want her to feel bad for such stupid, hormonal things that happened to him. It wasn't her fault. He was about to open his mouth again to speak but she mentioned her water bottle. He shifted his gaze across the room, trying to locate the said bottle.

He then found it lying beside the bed, trying to get under the mattress but it was too low down. He reached over and picked it up, handing it to her. "So um.. are you going to be staying here or coming back to the island?"

[Nicolette]

That was honestly a good question. Haruka didn't know whether or not it would be right for her to go back. On the one hand, she was sure that her grandparents would need her at home in Japan since their daughter just passed away... But on the other hand, T'zenshin was a place that could offer her training on her new found power. It was as if she were a pendulum that had lost its momentum and was stuck in the middle.

"I... I don't know..." She said softly. "Grandmother and Grandfather may need more help since Mother... departed... I had assumed the worst when I left the island, so all of my things are here.. What ever decision Grandmother and Grandfather make, all it takes is a quick call to the school to have them pull my records..." She shrugged her small shoulders.

[Faye]

Rai couldn't help but grin.

"Haru-chan, that was another reason why I came up here to talk to you," He reached forward, running his hand down her arm, taking her hand in his. "Before I came up here, I spoke with your grandparents, they told me about the incident at the hospital and requested that I convince you to come back to the island, they believe your new found power needs attention," His eyes had softened, it was working in his favour this time.

[Nicolette]

Haruka glanced back at the boy, her eyes widening a little in surprise. Her grandparents wanted her to go? It shouldn't have been that much of a surprise, though, since she did have these odd, new powers. They were really caring, and she knew they just wanted the best for her despite the circumstances.

"I... I need to stay here in Japan, for at least the funeral and until things settle a little more. I don't know how long that will take, but there's a chance I might spend my summer on the island rather than coming home... I think my grandparents would understand my decision..."

[Faye]

Rai nodded, he understood her reasoning. It wouldn't be right to just pack up her stuff and just leave for the island right after everything that had happened.

"I understand what you mean," He commented, gently rubbing her shoulder with his other hand. "But I do really suggest that after all of this, you come back to the island, these powers of yours need sorting out," He didn't want to admit it, and he probably never would, but he had a slight fear of her now. In that state.. she was in before he managed to calm her down, anything could have happened.

However, the burning question deep in the back of his mind was how it all happened. Why was she now a water manipulator?

[Nicolette]

The girl shut her eyes for a moment, nodding in response to his words. Definitely, she would need to return for at least some basic training on how to work with her new manipulation... It was just really odd how it came about to be. How would she suddenly be able to have these powers? What had caused them? Her parents both didn't have magical powers, and neither did her grandparents, so it couldn't be hereditary... But... Maybe...

She remembered the flash drive her mother had given her the last time she was in Japan. They had studied magic users. Maybe those files could give her a hint as to how her power might have developed. And quite possibly, there might be some files her father wrote up about her, that could explain at least something.

"I'm going to need my luggage from downstairs soon..." She commented casually as she shakily rose to her feet. She grabbed her water bottle as she did so, moving to sit on the bed before she opened it and quickly took a long drink.

[Faye]

Rai followed her to her bed when she sat up, watching her take a long drink from her water bottle. She sure was going through that liquid fast, if he didn't know about her new found power, then he would think she would be going to the bathroom left right and centre soon enough.

"Would you like me to go down at get it for you?" He offered, a small smile spread across his lips. He reached around her with his right arm, hanging loosely around her waist.

[Nicolette]

Haruka shrugged as she pulled the bottle from her lips. "It's up to you, really. I can get it later if you're not up to getting it. It's not really a big deal." She then turned her attention to the boy, a small frown sliding to her lips upon something coming to her mind.

"How long do you plan to stay here in Japan?"

They had exams coming up, and the mission for the SFF. Haruka wasn't sure if she'd be able to make them, but she knew that Rai must, even if she could not.

[Faye]

Rai turned his body around a little more to face her, he raised his hand, playfully poking her in the nose, "Do you seriously think I would sit here and let you haul your luggage up to your room? I don't think so," A small chuckle passed through his lips as he let his hand fall back down to his side after.

His gaze shifted to in front of them as she asked her question. He wasn't sure about his answer, he wanted to stay as long as she was, but the exams.. he had to take those exams, there was no way he'd be able to advance through otherwise. "I.. I really don't know..." He glanced down at the ground, "I want to stay for as long as I can."

[Nicolette]

Haruka frowned a little. As much as she wanted him to stay here in Japan with her, she also knew that he needed to get back, especially with exams creeping up. She had left just before exams were to begin, and she doubted that she'd be returning before they started, meaning she'd have to make them up... But she didn't want Rai to suffer the same fate.

"You need to be getting back to T'zen Island soon. You have exams to get done, and I need someone back there taking care of the Student Freedom Force operation in my absence."

She trusted Rai to be able to lead the operation in her absence... But she certainly hoped she could make it back just in time to take over.

[Faye]

The male stared at the floor for a good, solid minute as he thought about his options and what he should do. Any person in his situation would be better off heading back to the island for the exams. He had to pass. He just had to. There was no way in hell he'd live it down with himself if he failed.

But.. Haruka, she needed him. He wanted to be there for her in case something bad happened again. He glanced back up at her, drawing his eyes away from the carpeted floor. She seemed adamant he had to head back.

Maybe he should listen to her for once.

He swallowed a hard lump in his throat, bringing her close to him, feeling her warmth radiate from her small body, he enjoyed the feeling that she gave him every time they touched. "Okay, I'm going to go back to the island when I can arrange a flight back home, I don't want to rush," He said, finally, hoping he wouldn't end up regretting his decision.
