One Last Kiss [Harai.]

[Nicolette]

Haruka let out a humorless laugh as she moved backwards away from him, until she was able to stand up next to her bed. There was a weird shine in her eye, on not quite a good shine either. She let out that same laugh again before gritting her teeth and glaring.

"You must have been blind before, to even love something as fucked up as this." She motioned to herself. "You want to see imperfection at its best?![/i]"[/color] She pulled at the nightgown, pulling it over her head and throwing it on the bed. And there she stood before him, in just a pair of panties, showing her imperfect body. She grabbed at the bandages on her arms and unwrapped them quickly, letting them spill at her feet, to show the worst damage.

"Look at me! I'm a joke! I'm not even human. Humans can't possibly have so many horrible imperfections." She held her arms out to either side of her, cupping her hands. And in her cupped hands, water began to form. "Can a human do this?" The water began to levitate from her hands and lift around to swirl up her arms and to her shoulders in ribbons. "Can you love an imperfect MONSTER?!"

[Faye]

Rai was shocked by her reaction, feeling her shift away from him so she could stand up.

He blinked at her words, still as heavily confused as he was before, if not more than that. She was going crazy, what had brought this on?

And then she revealed it all. If it had been any normal situation, a typical guy like him would have been aroused at her bare naked body, only a pair of panties covering between her legs. But he ignored all that, he stared at her flesh, it's pale and frail complexion, and then his eyes found all the cuts and scars scattered across her skin. He grimaced, fall backward a little so he was now sitting on the floor.

He scrambled to his feet and witnessed her summon a ball of water in the cup of her hands. His eyes only widened more.

"Haru-chan.."

The boy shook his head, "That doesn't change anything about who you are, Haruka. You are not a monster!" He couldn't take his eyes off her scars, there were so many, so many that were cut so deep into her flesh. He kept his distance from her, afraid of what she would do. "Just calm down, Haru-chan, please."

[Nicolette]

Haruka watched him fall backward and slowly edge away from her. She let out another humorless laugh, though this one was filled with more pain than disgust.

"You fear me..." She stated, as the water wrapped around her scarred flesh before it sunk into her body, as if she were absorbing it. She collapsed to her knees, hugging herself as she looked at the boy scooting back away from her. "Just leave me to rot, Rai... I'm no longer that same girl you met... I'm a broken monster... Hardly anything you'd want to be around... So please... Just leave me..."

[Faye]

Rai winced at the laugh, keeping still as he watched her. The water then disappeared into her body, he watched in awe and fear as she fell to the ground. He stood there, frozen for a good few moments as she spoke before he darted forward, kneeling on the ground.

He gingerly lifted a thin hand, resting it on her shoulder and brought his other arm to rest on her knee. "No, I won't ever leave you again.." He couldn't take being a part from her. However, he did agree that this wasn't the same girl he had first met but probably not in the same concept as him. He believed this was going to pass, that this was just a phase, a way of her mind dealing with the fact that her mother had passed away.

"Haruka. Look at me."

[Nicolette]

Haruka shook as he came close to her, and as Rai got closer, he would be able to tell that the shaking was coming from her silent sobbing. Tears had already started pouring and she felt her body just shaking and jerking in anguish. She didn't want to look at him, she didn't want to be close to him... Because she didn't want it to hurt when he turned his back and left.

But he requested her to look at him, and she slowly brought those broken grey eyes to gaze up at him, pressing her lips together as more tears spilled down her red cheeks. She forced herself to meet his gaze, and see the boy she had fallen so hard in love for.

[Faye]

The hand that rest on her knee was brought up to touch her cheek as she turned to look up at him. His grey blue eyes met with her grey ones, he saw the broken story that was told within them. It pained him to see such sadness, such fear in someone's eyes, let alone a girl's.

As tears fell down her cheeks, he moved his hand to wipe them away, though her face would still feel wet. He shifted his weight so he could bring her forward, against him in a tight, comforting embrace while they still remained seated on the floor. "We'll work through this, okay, Haru-chan," He whispered into her ear, taking in her lavender scented shampoo that was laced throughout her jet black hair.

"I love you."

[Nicolette]

Her eyes widened as she felt herself pulled close to him, with his arms wrapping comfortingly around her. As he whispered into her ear, and held her, she felt suddenly lighter. Everything seemed to take its pressure off of her and she felt nothing by Rai's warmth embracing her. Suddenly, everything felt like it might just turn out to be okay.

She brought her arms up to wrap around his neck, burying her face in his shoulder as she clung to him for dear life. He wasn't going to leave her, he wasn't going to turn his back on her. He was going to be here for her...

"Oh God, Rai... I love you so much..." She whispered between soft sobs. "Everything's happened so fast, and everything's so confusing... I'm just so scared, Rai-kun... I'm so lost, and I'm just so scared..."

[Faye]

When she said her first sentence, his heart began to race inside of him, pounding hard and going off into spasms. Did she really just say she loved him back? It had taken all of this for them to realise their true feelings for each other.

He simply smiled into her hair, enjoying the sweet scent of lavender. "Shh.." His voice was gentle and comforting, he rubbed her back softly with his hand, feeling her spine as he did so. It worried him.

"I'm going to be here for you through everything, you'll never have to feel scared and lost again," He felt corny but it was true. If Haruka really did need him by her side then he would be there, through thick and thin. He squeezed her against him a little more, but not too tight as he didn't want to hurt her. He stopped rubbing her back and began to stroke her hair, playing with her black locks.

Haruka gripped the front of his shirt with her small hands and she continued to gaze up at him as he spoke such soft, comforting words to her. She had to look into his eyes, because she needed to know he was telling her nothing but the truth. And the truth is exactly what she got.

Feeling his warm touch over her bare skin, and then feeling his fingers run through her hair, she shut her eyes for a moment before she leaned up and moved her hands up, running her fingers through his dark hair as she pulled him down into a rough kiss, her lips moving against his in a desperate attempt to bring him closer to her.

[Faye]

It wouldn't matter to Rai what they did next as long as he could to be close to her, to smell that lovely lavender scent from her hair. He couldn't believe he had gotten her back, he had won her over, even after he had been such a jerk.

Then he felt her lips against his and being pulled down. His eyes widened at first and he gasped, startled by the sudden interaction. He then relaxed, realising what was going on and melted into the kiss, returning her soft kisses, his lips moving across her soft ones. He reached around to her back, slowly moving her so she could lie down on the floor, making it easier for them. As well as moving her, he shifted himself into a more comfortable position, all without breaking their kiss.

Haruka allowed herself to be a rag doll as he lifted her and moved her to lie on her back as she kissed him. She shivered lightly when his body had to part from her own, and she brought one of her legs to twist around him, making it so he'd shift to cover her body, her bare chest pressing against his shirt. She continued to run her fingers slowly through his hair, gently tugging every so often as her mouth moved against his. She brought her teeth to graze over his bottom lip, sighing against his mouth as she did so.

[Faye]

Rai continued to kiss her and shifted his body when her leg twisted around him. He now lay completely on top of her but he kept his body weight off her by resting on one of his elbows. His free hand travelled up and down her side softly, sometimes just barely touching her skin. He could feel the bumps from her scars and cuts, but he didn't dare to go anywhere near her chest. His hand went down her waist and over her hip, resting on her thigh for a moment.

He smiled into their kiss as he heard her sigh, he quickly and lightly licked her bottom lip with his tongue.

[Nicolette]

Haruka shyly let her tongue lap at his before she let out a small laugh and let her eyes open as she rest her head against the floor beneath her, bringing her hands down to tug him close on top of her, shivering again at the cool air of the room touched her skin.

"I love you, Rai Aikaryu... Please... Don't ever leave me again..." She said softly, her expression finally calming into a peaceful one, her eyes holding only lingering fragments of pain. She won't be completely okay right away, but with time, she'll be able to heal. She'll be able to move past her mother's death and her newfound power, and become stronger than ever before.

But for now, just having Rai by her side was good enough.

[Faye]

Rai smiled as she let out a small laugh, this time it was that crazy, humourless laugh from before. It was genuine, showing that she was slowly coming back to the normal Haruka that he had fallen in love with. The one he never wanted to leave.

He looked into her eyes once again, seeing a significant change from before. "I won't. I won't ever leave you again," He smiled once more, slowly sitting up from the floor. With the mood being lightened, he finally noticed her body and how naked she was. A dark red colour rose to his heating cheeks and he frantically reached for her night gown that she was wearing before.

"You.. you seem cold, how about you put this back on?" He suggested, using her prior shivering as an excuse for him to calm down.

Haruka flushed red as she sat up and grabbed the nightgown, pulling it close to her. She slowly turned herself so her back was facing him and pulled the cotton material over her head, letting it fall back into place upon her small body.

"I...I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable..." She said softly, keeping her back to him. "Honestly... I don't know what came over me..." She brought her hands up to run through her hair. "Where's my water bottle...?" She then asked, looking around for it. She suddenly felt so thirsty, and she knew that was going to be a bad thing. She didn't need her body rebelling against her because of this new power...
