Quiet, Peaceful, and Lonely

[Rose]

Katarina walked around the Grove of the Mist. She had just found it and it instantly became her favorite place on this island. There was lots of trees and water there and, well, she could control earth and water so this was a really nice spot. It the air was filled with mist today and she smiled and twirled around in it. She flicked her wrist and water moved away from her face and she walked towars a tree and let the mist form again. She sat against the tree and sighed. She was lonely. She wanted her friends from Sweden to be here. She missed them. She had only left them a few days ago but it felt like she had been away for months.

She pulled some mist away and made it form a pddle on her hands. she moved it around in the now empty ares of air. she made swirling patterns. She smiled and watched them and listend to the chirps of the birds through the mist.

There came a point where it was just stupid to have been somewhere for a certain amount of time and not gone out exploring passed the urban areas of the place. So, today, a young eighth grader by the name of Cerys Levenworth decided to explore a little more of the island to see what was so great about its scenery. So many other students gossiped about the marl peak's view, the lovely white sandy beaches down the coastline and of course, the misty grove. The grove had sparked her interest the most so she decided to start there.

A dark shadow was thrown like a blanket over the land, the sun trying to shine through the cracks. Midnight blue eyes watched the dancing shadows as the gentle breeze caused the trees to sway. Her hair was tied up in her normal two pigtails at the side of her head, tied with black hair ties but had a silky blue ribbon wrapped around into a bow for decoration. Due to the rise in temperature, she had stolen her sister's denim jean shorts which clung to what skin they covered. She wore a black and white checker tank top that gathered around the bust area and a simple light grey short sleeved cardigan that fell down just passed the beginning of her shorts. On her feet were a simple pair of black sandals.

Entering the grove, she noticed that it wasn't alled the grove of the mist for no reason. Holding up her hand, she could barely see them. She glanced down at her feet, making sure she wasn't about to trip over something and continued further in. She came to a small clearing where she could see further ahead of herself and took the opportunity to look around.

"Must have been some rain last night.." Though she hadn't heard any.. perhaps she had fallen into a deep sleep.

Katarina hear the voice and her head snapped towards the sound and the water dropped barly misshing her landing just a finger's width away. She stood and pulled on her jean shorts so that they weren't sticking to her and then did the same to her green and blue colored shirt. She fliped her long blond hair away from her bright green eyes and smiled, walking towards the voice. Her hair normaly bounced freely around her when she walked but the damp air made it heavy. Her hair did manage to keep the slight curl it always held.

She stopped as she saw a girl. She looked about a year younger than her. She smiled warmly and spoke. "Hello. What brings you to the Grove of the Mist?" the Swedish fairy asked. Not a hint of her Swedish accent at all. And her wings were hidden so there was no way for this girl to know what she was. Katarina looked Swedish though. But a fairy was something people usually would never guess.

[Faye]

Cerys had been so wrapped up in her surroundings that she hadn't even noticed someone else being there until she heard them speak. Her eyes snapped over to her, widening as a surprised gasp passed through her lips. "..Hello," She said slowly as she glanced at the girl in front of her. If it weren't for the age difference and the eye colour, Cerys could've sworn she found her clone or her mother miraculously had triplets and didn't tell her or Rhiannon.

Maybe Rhiannon knew and didn't tell her! Another thing she would have to speak to her about. That conniving little..

Oh! She still had to reply to the girls question. Her dark eyes returned to the girl, studying her features, the girl's skin was flawless! "I'm actually just here to check this place out, been here the entire year and never went outside the urban part, stupid, huh?" She replied, scratching her cheek lightly as a pink blush heated her cheeks. "And yourself?"

[Rose]

Katarina smiled. "No, I do not think that is wierd. There are people that hare in their thirties and have never left urban areas." She scowled and shook her head atempting to get her hair away from her eyes, where it kept falling. She sighed and lifted her arm to brush it away as it settled over her eyes again. "I am here exploring. I just got here so yea. I'm Katarina."

Katarina brushed a few stards of her hair away and wished that she could dry herself off. But she was in the company of another. but wait! She was at a school where everyone had a secret. She could show what she was if she wanted. She moved her hand and the mist around her and the girl turnedinto a compleatly liquid ball and moved into the fairy's hand. Then she took the water from their clothes and put it into the ball and smiled. "There. Now we are dry!" she said happily.

[Faye]

For a moment, Cerys believed the girl and didn't think it was so stupid. But, a thought passed through her mind. Those people may not have even been on the island for very long, or even less time than her! Oh well, she wasn't about to start up an argument. There was no need.

"Pleasure to meet you, Katarina, I'm Cerys," A smile curved into her lips as she introduced herself. However, it soon vanished as the girl began to 'take away' the water in her clothes. Cerys stared at the girl in front of her, wide eyed. "Holy! How did you do that!?" She asked, confusion and shock laced within her voice. Even though the T'zenshin Institute was a school for the gifted and that word gifted varied, she still couldn't get over the fact that this girl could manipulate water.

It. Was. Awesome.

[Rose]

Katarina smiled at Cerys. "Well, most would think me crazy if I told them that I am a fairy." She tossed the liquid ball into the air and it hung thee above their heads. The she let her wings shimmer into existance. "So I prove it to them." She fluttered her wings like a butterfly might do and little things like glitter floated to the ground. Now that her wings were out she had started to glow. It wan't as noticable as when it was dark but there was a noticalbe change. Her glow was a blueish-green color with a tinge of gold that all faries she had met had.

Hard to really keep that hidden. that was why she kept her wings hidden. Then she wouldn't sparkle and glow her odd color. All faries' colors were different more or less. It wen't off of your powers. Hers were conrolling earth and water and healing. that equalled a blueish-green color apparently. And all faries had heven the smalest hint of glod in their glow. It was just they way it was.

[Faye]

Cerys tilted her head as the girl began talking, a fairy? Well that was pretty cool! Her dark blue eyes widened as the girl started to change, taking the form she hid from the human eye. She stared in awe, it was so.. pretty, she just wanted to reach out and touch her wings!

"That is seriously the coolest thing I've seen all year," She spluttered out, unable to take her eyes off the bluey green glow the girl emitted so naturally. "Why do you keep yourself hidden? This is a school of the gifted," She always wondered about that, but she guessed it was force of habit for most. Considering, before attending the school, they would have had to keep themselves hidden from the other ignorant humans that knew nothing about the supernatural.

[Rose]

Katarina smiled. She brushed a curl away from her face once more and nodded. "Yea it is. And I guess it's habbit. I only just got here. And I don't know what other kind of people here. I guess I don't want every one to know that I am a fairy. People like to ask what my powers are and they want alsorts of help." She sighed and shook her head before continuing. "I can controll water and earth and i can heal a bit. I'm the best at water though. I can move quite a bit of water with out an efforet and i and freeze it as well." She pulled the large orb of watter down and blew on it and it froze instantly. She then let it resume its liquide state. "I can't make it rain yet though. And for earth all I can do is control plants and grow plants that I am familliar with. I want to learn how to move earth like i do with my water though. Healing..." She sighed again. "Well I can disinfect and close wounds. If you have and internal issue I can ease the pain bit nothing else I could learn more though and I hope to."
