Oh god it was beautiful here, it had rained last night and Adrian had been out there dancing in it... but this, this was beauty. His clothing was soaked where he had lain on the ground, just staring off through the trees and the mist. The feeling here, the smell, the taste of the air made him never want to leave. He wanted to sit back, relax and ignore the imminent exams, not that he was worried... or at least worried enough to do anything.
At the moment he was walking down one of the many paths, trees appearing to be tall people standing alone in the mist, some of them almost looked like they were moving. The illusion made Adrian feel warm inside, like he was in the middle of some wonderland, a hidden oasis of... well, something. What was evident anyway, was that it was nice. He was soaked, he couldn’t see clearly ten feet in front of him, it was like ten in the morning... and he was glad to be alive.

In the mist and many paths of trees was a little girl, at least what seemed to be a little girl. She was laying upon the wet grass, her legs curled up and her hands resting lightly near her face. She of course was soaking wet from the rain, as it had rained the night before and the ground was still wet. She was wearing the school uniform of the T'zenshin Institute. She had long lavender hair that stuck to her arms and her back, curling a bit from the moisture. As she slept, though, there were voices. Things in the mist moving, soft voices heard.. almost sweet in nature but.. what they spoke was anything but sweet. Anyone walking by would be able to hear it and see the movement in the mist.
Murderer... Murderer~! Give in to your nature.
Yes.. you're becoming friends with those who hate you.. And those who killed your parents.
The only life you ever knew.
You can't live with the humans, you have to kill them.

Adrian strolled through the forest, nowhere in particular in mind. But when he heard some fairly homicidal comments he stopped. Looking around He couldn’t actually see anyone, but there were... shapes moving through the mist. ”Hello?” He called out, into the mist... because obviously when you hear people talking about how someone should kill humans, you attracted their attention. At least he had the sense to whistle and call the Undines that had to be playing in the mist... he just wasn’t sure if they heard him.
He was a little creeped out, and it wasn’t until he almost stepped on the girl that he noticed she was there. At which point he crouched down to shake her shoulder... something was going on, and it was in her best interests that he was waking her... he wasn’t about to leave her here on the ground, those oh so sweet psychopathic voices might take the opportunity to hurt her, because she obviously fell under the voices target group... humans.

Look at that~ There's a human!
Trying to wake the sleeping child... He best be careful.
He might get hurt, she is hungry after all. Having slept out here in the rain..
The little vampire child[/i]
All three voices had laughed at the last comment, saying it all together. The mist seemed to swirl as the voices faded, leaving the area. Alice, on the other hand, scrunched her hands slightly as she felt a hand on her shoulder shaking her. She of course, had no warm feeling to her skin. She was cold, and not just becuase of the rain either. Her eyes shot open, and instead of the deep lavender that her eyes usually were, they were a deep red. Looking to Adrian out of the corner of her eye, she had immediately tense up, keeping her eyes on him. "Who are you?"

Adrian heard the voices as they spoke about the girl before him. He dearly hoped they were wrong, at least about the hungry part. He was currently in possession of that oh so moronic stage of thought most teenagers had... though because of one of his more recent acquaintances he realised just how mortal he was. When the girl opened her eyes, he widened his. Red irises weren’t the most common sight... or really something he had seen outside the cinema.
He offered his hand to her anyway. ”I heard voices in the mist... and at the time they seemed fairly malevolent, so I figured it would be a good idea to wake you, just so that if the voices happened to posses physical bodies you wouldn’t be completely helpless and asleep on the ground. So I shook you and woke you up, and then the voices went away so I’m hoping I’m not just delusional... but I suppose it’s better to be safe than sorry... Adrian” He paused finally remembering her actual question. “My name is Adrian, Nice to meet you... yours would be?”

Alice continued to watch Adrian rather closely, slowly scooting back and not taking his hand, just sitting up and pulling her knees behind her so she was in a sitting position. So.. those voices just.. weren't in her dreams... they were real. He heard them too. Slowly looking to the side through the mist she narrowed her eyes. What ... was out there? What had been out there, exactly? Whatever it was, it was trying to use her to its advantage, and she most certainly would not have that happen. No one used Alice Tudor.
Turning her attention back to Adrian as he spoke about his name, she bowed her head slightly out of politeness. "My name is Alice. If you heard those voices ... like I did... then you must already know what I am. Are you scared?"
((... i'm kind of tempted to have John join in.. XD Just to get his kicks out of seeing a vampire ))

Adrian shrugged and retracted his hand as she backed away, he was only being polite. When she confirmed the voices implication that she was a vampire, Adrian grinned, thinking of how John would react to a vampire. Then he returned his attention to the girl, “Well, that depends, are you hungry?” She seemed harmless enough, but well, he had read about vampires and though he wasn’t sure what was nonsense and what wasn’t... they probably were stronger than the average boy. And Adrian was a little less than average.
”Because if you’re hungry I would hope not to be on your dinner list. Being devoured by someone, even as attractive as you would be rather unpleasant.” He was attempting to be charming, mirroring John... he wasn’t sure if it was working, but that might be because he could only appreciate her appearance objectively. Then again... he was never one for charming the ladies... or the gentlemen either.

Alice slowly averted her gaze down to the ground. She was hungry, that's what her eyes were red. If Faye were hear, she would tell Alice to stay calm, it would all be alright. She didn't have to scare anyone, she didn't have to murder anyone, everything would be okay. Those voices were.. just trying to mess with her while she was unconscious was all. Luckily she wasn't effected by it... at least so she thought.
"You won't become dinner. I don't drink the blood of humans anymore. At least, I'm trying not to. " Alice quickly turned her head, barring her fangs and hissing at a shadow that came through the mist. It was a boy in a old captain's jacket, suspenders, a blue dress shirt and brown slacks. John had immediately held his hands out in front of him, holding an electronic device in the other.
"Wow, wow there little miss. I'm just scan--... You're a vampire. Is this.. oh this is Christmas!" Just as quickly as John had come up, he was circling Alice, only making her more uncomfortable. Alice was watching him rather closely, ready to jump up and attack if need be. "I can't believe it.. Uncle David always told me there were such things as vampires but.. a real living, breathing one! Her eyes are red too... must mean she's hungry, right? This is absolutely fascinating!"
....Alice glared coldly, being a bit... shocked at his reaction. No one had ever seemed so.. enthusiastic about meeting her. How did he know so much about her, anyway? Most humans had no idea that if her eyes were red that meant she was hungry. Besides, that really only happened with pure bloods such as herself. In his excitement, John really had forgotten that Adrian was there. Originally he was scanning the area because the device he had gave him a heads up of certain creatures that had yet to be identified, and a human. So he went to see if the human was alright, and that human was.. of course.. Adrian.

Adrian jumped when she hissed at the shadow, ready to... well he wasn’t sure what he would do if the shadow was dangerous, but he was ready to do something anyway When John walked into the forest, Adrian was relieved and waved at him... though when he ignored Adrian and focused on Alice... well, Adrian just rolled his eyes, ”Hey, ingrate... stop objectifying the woman and say hello to the poor helpless child standing before you.” He gestured to himself before deciding –like deserved like- he could ignore John as easily as the man could forget him.
Instead he returned his attention to the vampire. And then he asked the question that absolutely had to be asked, the one that was burning inside him. Something more important than any voices they had both heard in the mist. Something he had sworn upon his mother’s name he would never asked. Something that no one should ever be asked, not of a vampire and certainly not a female. Something only an imbecile would ask a woman so clearly able to literally rip him a new one. ”How old are you?” He couldn’t help it... he only knew one other immortal. The fact that it was rude had been forgotten.

Alice rolled her eyes a bit, crossing her arms over her chest as John turned his attention back to Adrian. He had laughed, crossing his own arms over his chest. "Ingrate, am I? I was scanning this forest because my little device here told me of a creature that was here in the forest and then a human. So I came looking, and here you are. Getting yourself into trouble again, as usual."
Alice had growled slightly. If anyone was getting themselves in trouble, it was John. She wasn't a creature, she was a vampire. A pure blood vampire and her being hungry at the moment was not helping her temperament. "Excuse me. I hope you don't mean me becuase I most certainly am not a 'creature' "
John immediately spun around to face the vampire once more, a grin spreading across his face. "Oh no, Miss. You're a beautiful young woman who just happens to be a vampire that is.. well, hungry. Oh." He turned back to Adrian, winking over his shoulder. "Glad to see your safe." and just as quickly as he turned to Adrian, he turned back to Alice who still had her arms crossed over her chest watching the two.
When Adrian had asked her how old she was, she wasn't as offended as most people would think. Sure, she was a woman, and she was quite old, but it was different with vampires. With her, especially, as she did not exactly remember her ... exact age. She did not really care, to be honest. She always looked like a child for now, anyway. Her expression was still cold, though. No smile, no nothing, just a glare in her eyes. "I'm in my two hundreds. Not exactly sure how old, I don't keep track.. "

Adrian rolled his eyes at John, the man could be an ass sometimes and at the moment he wasn’t really considering the fact that the vampire before him really could be a monster capable of killing them both... well killing Adrian anyway. Now that his curiosity about her age had been assuaged, Adrian turned his mind to the voices he had heard... they had heard. He checked the surrounding area, staring out into the mist. He couldn’t make out anything, just shapes that stood silently, he assumed they were trees.
”SO, Alice... why in the world did you pick here of all places to take a nap? I mean, it doesn’t seem the most conducive situation for sleeping; in fact, it might possibly be one of the worst possible places. It’s cold, damp, and rather eerie. I suppose I might settle for a nap here, but I personally enjoy the cold and the damp... That’s not to say you don’t it’s just odd is all.” He shrugged and split his attention between her and their surroundings... he hadn’t liked those voices. He was of course, ignoring John.

John continued to watch Alice for a moment, looking to Adrian over his shoulder every so often. As much of an interest he had in this vampire, he still was excited to see Adrian too. Not to mention the fact that this vampire might be... well, dangerous. When Adrian asked his question, he was intrigued to the answer as well. It was damp, cold, and misty. Perfect setting to kill, not take a nap. So what might her answer be? Was she a threat to the rest of the school? "I'm also quite interested to hear your answer, miss."
Alice sighed lightly, closing her eyes. She wasn't exactly sure why she was out here. She just... had fallen asleep in the rain was all. The farther away from people she was with her hunger was better. She did not know where her tablets were, probably in her room. She was starving herself, and those tablets just were not cutting it. She opened her red eyes, looking to Adrian. "To get away from people, I suppose. The cold doesn't really effect me as it does human. I have no heart beat, so .. there is no blood going through my veins.. unless its that of warm human blood."
"So you're starving yourself."
Alice's eyes had immediately gone to John, watching him rather closely. "Why do you say that...?"
"Well, you're out here away from people. You haven't attacked Adrian, or myself... And your eyes are red. Pure blood vampire, red eyes... hungry... why don't you attack? Why are you being so calm and composed when you're so hungry? Shouldn't that temptation be driving you crazy?"
"And who are you to say it isn't?"
John had only grinned, keeping his arms crossed over his chest as he watched Alice. He was not helping her temperament what-so-ever. The more John talked, the more irritated Alice was getting.
