APPEARANCE DETAILS
Appearance: Jackie is short and slim, not very fit but definitely not fat. Her fast metabolism keeps her in shape even though she hates most types of exercise (even swimming; she prefers to tan by the pool). She has pretty short legs and arms but her thin frame makes her seem more proportional. Her fingers are long and they usually taper to long manicured nails. Her toes, ever visible in her favorite sandals, are usually done in the same way. Her face is small and heart-shaped and though it is very pretty Jackie's excessive eyeliner and mascara can make her look standoffish. Her hair is a gleaming shade of red-orange and it hangs just below her shoulders in striking layers. She has bangs that fall messily over her forehead and hide her brows. Jackie's eyes are an alarming shade of green, an alarming and hypnotic color. People often find they can't look away.
Clothing Style: Lots of eye-catching colors. She likes shorts during all seasons and she wears tank tops even in the winter. Jo also likes big tennis shoes and a particular pair of soft brown leather flip-flops. She has her nails done every month and she usually chooses bright colors with a hint of a glitter. Yellow is her favorite color and many of her clothes are of a similarly sunny shade.
Special Accessories: A lucky opal-and-gold bear necklace that she wears on test days (but sometimes forgets to take off). An illegally implanted abstract gem design artistically accenting her entire back.
PERSONALLY
Over-all Personality: Funny, witty and a little bit wild. Jackie loves parties and loud music, small animals and friends. She's not usually found alone or silent. She's the class clown and she loves pranks. Jackie has a black, long-haired and very friendly stray cat hidden away in her dorm. She lets him out at night and he comes in and out through a hidden hole in the wall with a rag hanging over it. This is her company when she's home alone, stuck in with homework or lost privileges. The tomcat's name is Oreo, Jackie's favorite cookie.
Jackie often sleeps late and comes tardy to Science class. Her roommate has long since given up trying to awaken her...robbed of her convincing gift in her sleepiness, Jackie is violent with kicks and punches and pillow smacks. Alternately she often stays awake much longer than everyone else, even after the party is over. She finds these quiet hours before dawn relaxing, and she unexpectedly enjoys reading and art.
At parties Jackie talks to everyone. She loves her junk food and she'll fill a plate until the chips are spilling off the sides. She's very careful to keep track of her drink (she's been through the hell of date rape drugs before), but she's not usually picky about what's in the cup. Unless it's wine Jackie is game...the taste somehow differs from beer or bourbon...too sweet or too sharply bitter, she can't decide which it is.
At some of these parties Jackie's tried cigarettes, crack, speed and acid. She's never gotten addicted, luckily, and she's found that the pleasure of these stimulants is not dependably agreeable. She's partial to getting laid, though, and her gift allows her to be choosy. She also uses her ability for her own type of protection...a simple dose of eye contact for the guy is all it takes for her to learn of any diseases he might have.
During most of her school hours Jackie is disruptively talkative. The detention room, as she says, is her second home. She's good at pulling tricks and embarrassing teachers, but most of them are aware of her ability and keep well away from those bright green eyes. The only class where Jackie is manageable is art, a room where her mind is free to cause its trouble on paper. Jackie's a good artist, and she can duplicate images realistically as well as create her own good recreations. But her style is more abstract...she lets her mind go where it will with a pencil and then she refines her random schemes with other media. Not everyone likes her style but this doesn't bother her. This is the one thing she does for herself.
Likes: Parties, alcohol (no wine), bright colors, things that blow up or are shiny, art class, cats, sex.
Dislikes: Drugs, smoking, Math, Science etc..; bugs and slimy things, horses.
Fears: The 'real world', public speaking, a painful death.
Habits: Late-night stuff is her thing...she wakes up at two a lot and either has a midnight snack or cleans something. She always sleeps during math and always has on a new pair of earrings. She can also be trusted to wear shorts and a tank top on the first snowy day of the year.
Sense of Humor: Sarcastic, witty, playful...Jackie's funny bone knows no bounds.

BACKGROUND
History: (Oops! I can honestly say I forgot about this XD) Jackie was born in a large hospital in Dunedin, New Zealand. She was soon using her gift, almost by instinct, and as a result she became incredibly spoiled. Her mother, a smart but nasty woman by the name of Sally Crow, soon caught on and refused to look at her daughter. While she tried various methods of ruining her sight. Jackie grew up shielding her eyes from her dangerous mother, who would stay at home and drink, then attempt to stab or bleach or singe away Jackie's sight. Sally would soon fall asleep out of exhaustion while her daughter cowered in the single bathroom of their small, dirty apartment. Sally never cleaned the beer bottles away or washed the clothes. Stacks of dirty dishes filled the moldy sink. Jackie soon took it upon herself to clean her home while she avoided her mother or locked her out of the house.
But nothing was good enough for Sally. As the much cleared away so did her teeth. With every trip to the dentist she got bitchier. Finally she couldn't stand it any longer. Jackie was sent away to the T'zenshin Institute as a last resort and with a little help from the local authorities. Sally, after a night of heavily beating Jackie's head with the bad end of a belt, was taken to jail.
And now Jackie lives the good life, a simple dose of justice after her long-lived hell in the little apartment at Dunedin.
Secrets: Her gift mostly...Jackie hides her ability from her acquaintances so they won't learn to refuse her influence. She tries not to use her gift on her close friends, too, but sometimes it happens anyways.
Gift: Jackie is very convincing. Very, very convincing. In other words, you absolutely feel you have to do what she tells you to do if she decides she wants you to do it. This works on animals extremely well, but some people can resist the urge to listen to her, and she has to have eye contact when she's asking for something.
