Hard At Work (Pfft) {Harai, SFF}

[Nicolette]

Haruka gave a light shrug at the question as she moved into the files on her computer, opening up the files. She was relieved to see them untampered. She spoke as she opened up a new document and started to transfer some of the information into it, getting it ready for printing later.

"Not sure what Kyerin-san has planned... But if anything, I want to limit the Council's knowledge. She knows of Kyerin-san's involvement with the Student Freedom Force, and she knows that I have something to do with Kyerin-san." She glanced over her shoulder at her boyfriend. "Meaning you will be doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work, but you won't be working personally with myself and Kyerin-san. I don't want to risk the chance of President-san discovering more members than necessary."

[Faye]

Rai watched her move the mouse about the computer and was confused until he saw the files that she was relieved about. They were information on the Student Council members and other bits and pieces, they were untampered with, unlike the others that they had found before.

For a moment, Rai felt left out of the loop when Haruka spoke of her working closely with Kyerin with Nicolette along the way but he would have to suck it up. The SFF had to remain concealed as best they could, there was a reason why members weren't known. "Alright then," He agreed, his arms slipping around her form from behind in a gentle hug.

[Nicolette]

Haruka tensed just slightly at Rai's touch, but immediately relaxed as she leaned back into his hold, letting her eyes slide shut. It was comforting to be held in his arms. And had they had the time, Haruka would have just stayed there all night... But there was work to be done.

She let out a soft sigh and reached back to her laptop to continue her work. When she was finished, she saved the document temporarily on her desktop and shut her laptop, ejecting the flashdrive and sliding it back into her uniform pocket. She still had yet to change clothes.

"I need to make a trip back to the Student Freedom Force office in order to print my new reports. And while I'm there, I need to check the kind of printer and the kind of paper our printer uses... I need to find the printer that the mock-reports were printed out on."

[Faye]

Rai smiled as she relaxed into his hold, gently running his hand over her upper arm. He wanted to stay like this for the entire night, holding her in his arms, it felt so right. But a sigh had escaped her lips and she carried on with what she was doing on her laptop. He, too, sighed and moved back around besides, using the wooden back of the chair to lean on.

"Can.. Can I come with you?" He asked, sounding desparate to keep close to her, he didn't want her to keep coming and going. Plus, she might need help with something, like.. carrying the stuff back. Or...

Haruka felt a smile creep up on her lips and she turned to look back at the male behind her. She brought her hand up to brush some bangs from her eyes and straighten her glasses as she made her expression somewhat serious, but still a hint of a warm smile.

"I expected nothing less, Aikaryu-kun." She said in a business-like tone before she stepped forward, moving quickly to catch him by surprise to give him a warm kiss on the lips. It was a quick kiss, but she thoroughly enjoyed it because 1) she was kissing Rai and 2) he was adorable when caught off guard.

She turned back to her things and shut up her laptop, getting it ready to take with her back to the school.

Rai felt relaxed at her warm smile and couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at her business like tone that she had used. He was glad that she was letting him come with her again, conversations with his fish got rather dull very quickly. They weren't really talkative animals.

He then felt bad. He stole a quick glance at the tank, an apologetic smile directed at them.

Then he felt a pair of warm lips on his. His eyes widened in shock but soon softened as he realised what was happening. His lips moved back against hers, returning her kiss.

When the moment was broken, a light blush had risen to his cheeks. He brought himself back to reality and made sure he had everything with him, cellphone and... wait, there was nothing else he needed. Rai felt a bit odd and turned to Haruka, "Need any help with carrying anything?"

Haruka shook her head in response to his question, but gave him a small smile as if to say 'Thanks for asking'. She walked to the door of his dorm and waited for him before the couple left the room together.

They headed back to the school and Haruka took out the key Kyerin had given her. The front doors were open, since it was still relatively early in the evening and the cafeteria would still be open for dinner. They walked through the halls until they came upon the Student Freedom Force room. The girl unlocked the door before turning to her boyfriend.

"If I gave you my laptop and told you to print the file called 'SC Data' on my desktop, would you be able to do it for me?" She asked. Her laptop would connect wirelessly to the printer since she had a special connection with it. It would require quite the computer specialist in order to connect with the wireless from scratch, but Haruka's computer was able to do it naturally, so Rai would be able to do it if he knew how to print.

She wanted to go to the school library and take a look at their printers and paper to see if it was the same as the computer that had produced the fake reports.

[Faye]

Rai sighed at her response and walked out of the dormitory empty handed, following her down the hall to the elevator, out into the lobby and towards the school.

Their walk was short and the front doors were still open, Rai knew it was because of the cafeteria. He sometimes went down there to eat what they had on. Usually it was because they had tacos or some other kind of meal they didn't sell in town.

Once they were at the Student Freedom Force office, Rai noticed Haruka turn as she unlocked the door. Her question hurt him. She made it seem like he was stupid and retarded sometimes, sure he was a bit of an airhead and had major brain lapses at times but.. he wasn't completely stupid. He just nodded, "Okay, which printer?" He asked, knowing that Haruka would have multiple printers loaded up onto it.

She handed him the handle of her briefcase and waited for him to take it before she let go. "Printer A-7." She leaned up and kissed his cheek. "I'll be in the library if you need me." She tapped her briefcase. "Don't let this baby out of your sight."

She started to walk off, but glanced over her shoulder. She then turned around and started walking backwards, making a little heart with her hands before she turned and headed down the hall. While she wasn't ready for the big 'L' word, she still wished to show that she did care very much.

[Faye]

Rai took in the information and promised her that he wouldn't let her down and definitely would not lose sight of her laptop. He knew of its importance to her.

A warm, fuzzy feeling welled up in his chest as he watched her turn away only to turn back, walk backwards and form a heart with her fingers. With his free hand he gently blew her a kiss, walking inside the Student Freedom Force office.

Right, down to business. He withdrew the laptop from the case and loaded up the said file Haruka wanted. Before he printed them, he took a quick glance through it, just to see what kind of information was on it. Satisfied, he proceeded to print it out, clicking 'Printer A-7', colour and only one copy of the document. Once the laptop had finished sending the information, he waited.

Fifteen minutes passed when the female finally returned to the SFF Office. She had spent that time in the school library, examining their printer to see if the paper and the ink type matched. She felt the paper and then did a test print, but came to the conclusion that whoever had printed the documents hadn't done it in the library. And as she shut down the printer and computer she'd been using, a thought came to mind. What if they used their own personal printer? Haruka wouldn't be able to trace it that way...

She returned to the Freedom Force room and walked over to the printer, collecting the papers that had just printed. She felt the paper and let out a light sigh. Different paper and different ink, again. She walked over to her filing cabinet and looked up into her hidden camera for a moment to check if it was still there. It was. She took out a couple of folders and placed her new files inside before shutting the cabinet. If it was broken into again, she would apply new locks.

She turned to look over her shoulder at Rai, motioning for the door. They left together, Haruka taking her briefcase back, and once outside (with the door locked), Haruka spoke. "Neither our personal printers nor the the library printers seem to be the same printer that replaced my files." She ran her fingers through her hair, looking about the halls. Her stomach then gave a small growl. "And I believe my stomach says that we're done for the evening."

[Faye]

Those fifteen minutes felt like forever. Rai had sat in front of Haruka's laptop, staring at it, feeling kind of.. special that she had trusted him with it. It was so shiny, sleek and professional looking. She had modified it so much it seemed that you wouldn't be able to buy anything close to it. To pass the time, Rai checked the program files to see if there was any games, he found solitaire. Not wanting to be picky, he opened it and began shifting the cards around.

"You wait, Solitaire, I'll beat you when you least expect it!" He said to the computer screen, the cards played out in such a way that he couldn't complete as the card he needed was underneath the ones that needed it. Just as he was about to start a new game, he heard Haruka's footsteps enter the room and he closed the window down, looking up at her.

They had no luck. At all. Rai's eyes softened and he saw how disappointed she seemed. "We'll find who did it," He said as they left the office, he knew it wouldn't be that easy to track them down. A laugh escaped his lips as her stomach growled, he gently nudged her, "Feel like anything in particular?" Depending on what she said, he probably had some of it up at his dormitory.

[Nicolette]

Haruka thought for a moment before she shrugged. "I'm not feeling extremely picky right now, so I'm up for anything."

She'd been eating a bit more with her boyfriend's coaxing. She was still quite tiny, but she was starting to gain a little more color and looked a bit healthier since they'd returned from Japan. However, that was only while those bandages hid the horrid reminders of the pain she'd inflicted on herself.

[Faye]

At her comment, Rai thought about what he had in the freezer that sat underneath his fridge. What did he have in there? He knew he had lots of things, pizzas, ice-cream, ice-blocks, ice... of course he had ice. Duh. Rai shook his head and smiled at her, she was beginning to eat more and he was proud of her, but most of it was his subtle persuasiveness. Yes subtle...

"I have a pizza back at my dorm that I could heat up for us, if you want," The mere mention of the word pizza caused his stomach to growl as well, only his made more of an attempt to grab attention. Embarrassed, his clutched his stomach to stop it.

[Nicolette]

Haruka couldn't help but giggle when her stomach growled and gave him a warm smile as she took his hand in her's. "Pizza sounds good."

Anything was good, as long as someone was by her side to enjoy it. Rai had been persistant and stayed by her side, and she was glad to have him as a friend and a boyfriend. He was the only person that really showed her affection, gave her attention, and treated her as something more than a member of a club. Even Natasha had sometimes had problems distinguishing between the SFF and their actual friendship.
