APPEARANCE DETAILS
Appearance:
With his natural slouch, Isaak comes to at least five feet and four inches, you could add an inch or so if he stood up straight but it’s hardly ever. His skin is pale, a creamy white complexion with hints of tan here and there on bits that have caught the sun’s attention more often. A somewhat oval face, straight nose which hold up a thin pair of white trimmed glasses, the lenses always nicely clean and hiding a pair of chocolate brown eyes, warm and intense. A light grey colour sits just under his eyes due to staying up to the wee hours of the morning perfecting songs or finishing a painting. Jet black locks fall just at his neck, a slight side fringe pushed off to the left side of his face, giving his eyes room to be seen. Although a smile is hardly seen on the boy’s face, when there is one, it’s very sweet and charming.
Clothing Style:
Due to his top hat weapon, he generally works his fashion around formal attire though he does throw in the odd pair of black jeans to make it more comfortable and modern so he can at least fit in somewhere. Black slacks or jeans, he’ll wear any colour top besides bright colours such as pink, neon green and yellow. Though green and yellow may be present on some t-shirts but in small amounts. An example could be dark blue jeans, faded through the center and held up by a white and black checkered belt so they sit nicely around his hips. A pair of plain black converse sneakers on his feet, a white t-shirt and a black jacket, simple yet shows he has some pride in his appearance.
Special Accessories:
+Wrist blades on each wrist.
+A few chain like bracelets on his left wrist
PERSONALLY
Over-all Personality:
Like his piano playing, Isaak is a very gentle and kind person, his voice often quite soft and alluring (though unintentional, usually it’s just the accent), though he doesn’t like to keep the truth from other people which often annoys people, causing them to stop being around him, only those who can accept his unintentional hurtful honesty end up being his closest friends. He is very precise to the finest detail; it shows through his paintings and piano playing the most. Although, Isaak does have a very flirtatious and teasing side of him, becoming very teasing and a little naughty but it very rare for this side of him to come out, normally it would be when he’s found a girl he likes. Not only does he try to be flirtatious and teasing to them, he often finds himself feeling very nervous and anxious. He gets very jumpy and frightened during these kinds of situations.
When he’s alone, he becomes lost in the world of music, playing the piano in the Institute’s music room the most or painting away at something on the easel in the living room of his dormitory, he is very critical of his work and often doesn’t like what he’s produced, only being a few that have ever come to his standards. However, he hardly ever shows off the paintings he likes or performs songs in front of others, he’s very shy and doesn’t have a lot of confidence. He is different around the people close to him but he still has times when he loses what he wanted to say, getting tongue tied and embarrassed in turn.
Becoming a great weapons master like his father Joseph is one of his more long term goals as he is very clumsy at the flick for the top hat, but he is trying. He gets very embarrassed whenever it doesn’t work out. He is fluent in German and English, opting out for taking a language at the Institute as he thinks that two is more than enough to manage than having a third.

BACKGROUND
History:
Berlin, Germany, 1998, Rosalia Adler had gone into labor to give birth to her first born child, her son, Isaak Adler. His father was Joseph Adler, a weaponry master, his entire family being the same. It was only right that Isaak learned how to flick his wrist correctly to make a certain type of top hat turn into the weapon he desired. All the males in the Adler line learned it, the females tended to learn other things rather than how to use the weaponry.
To Rosalia’s disappointment, Joseph made it his duty to teach Isaak from a young age so he could perfect it, but Isaak was only a baby, he just wanted to roll around on the floor and play rather than sit for hours while his father showed him how to flick his wrist. Besides, it wasn’t like he could do it properly, anyway. Sighing, Joseph, stopped, opting to wait until he was at least six or seven before trying again, then maybe he would have some understanding of what was going on.
At school, Isaak was a bit of a loner at first, he kept to himself, very shy around the other kids and afraid to step up and express himself. Instead, he did it through music, using the melodies to show his emotions, he did the same through his artistic ability. Being able to play the piano and paint very well wasn’t unnatural in the Adler line but it was praised, it meant you had patience; you were precise and elegant all at the same time.
When Joseph saw this in his son, he saw it was time to try again, taking Isaak out to the garage to start again, a clean slate. Isaak followed his father’s instructions but was very clumsy and couldn’t get the right timing. He tried and tried again but could never get it right. Joseph thought that maybe he was trying to teach him something too difficult to start with so he handed Isaak a pair of wrist blades, clipping them to his wrists. Isaak glanced at them in confusion, but he flicked them out of their casing with ease, his father seeing he was a natural with the wrist blade. It would give him the proper practice for not only the blades but the top hat flick as well.
At the age of about seven, coming up eight in a few months, Rosalia gave birth to a second child, a girl; a little sister by the name of Saskia for Isaak. Isaak was taken by her, thrilled with the company and bonded quickly with the girl. As usual, though, Saskia and Isaak did squabble but it was normally over stupid, little things which were easily sorted out by a quick yell out by their mother to keep it down or else. This was also around the time when he became friends with Lukas Hall; the two were in the same class.
Isaak continued to thrive in his music and art classes, using his spare time to practice with the wrist blades and on the odd occasion attempt the flick but continued to fail. He made it his life long goal to perfect it, to be like his father. Along with this, he began to live in the shadow of his father. He lost more of his self confidence the more he watched his father perfectly perform the flick and perfectly use every weapon he could name off the top of his head, he could never be like that, no matter how hard he tried. His father never put him down, however, telling him to keep trying.
When his tenth birthday passed, Isaak began to notice something different with his weapons; they looked to be covered in a solid layer of what appeared to be ice. Horrified yet curious, he went to his father who was in complete disbelief, it had been at least five or six generations before anyone had been able to mix an element with their weaponry, Isaak’s obviously being ice, his father began to study it and attempted to understand the reasoning behind it but to no avail. Isaak just happened to be one of the random people who got it; there was nothing special behind it.
But it did lead to his parents thinking that maybe he needed a bit more training besides theirs and they found a few brochures and internet websites on the school in the pacific by the name of the T’zenshin Institute for the gifted. They read more into it and noticed that it was definitely not just academically gifted that attended, by some of the examples given, there were other elemental users enrolled. When he turned twelve, he was flown off to the island from Germany, having to leave his best friend and new found friend, Oliver, behind. He would have to start all over again in the friend department.
He was disappointed with the sudden move but at least he would have a better understanding of his powers and maybe someone else at the school knew a thing or two about weapons that could assist him in some way. He found the staff members at the school to be very helpful and educated with dealing with such students, especially his Physical Gifts class teacher. His first year at the Institute was uneventful, he attended the physical gifts class, lapping up the information given and attended all after school trainings so he could mold the ice into something he could control and perhaps find he had more manipulation skills rather than just around his wrist blades. In eighth grade he signed up for the Eighth Grade Student Council Representative to get more involved since his parents suggested it. However, he didn’t realize how much speech making and reporting back to the Council he had to do, and public speaking and conversing with people in such positions was definitely not his forte.
So, now in the ninth grade at T’zenshin, he has decided against running for Ninth Grade Representative and is just carrying on with his every day life, thriving in music and art.
Secrets:
He wears a top hat most of the time, obviously not during school due to the uniform however, his top hat holds a secret. It can turn into almost any weapon you can think of, with the right flick of the wrist on Isaak’s behalf, it could turn into a circle of shuriken, a sword, anything, usually something sharp. He wears a single silver coloured bracelet around each of his wrists which actually is a wrist blade. He has more mastery with his wrist blade movements than his top hat, as it can take years to master the correct flick but he’s trying. The whole thing is considered magic in a way, but no one in his family is entirely sure since their ancestors are deceased and the elder generations are still unsure as well.
Gift:
See Secret
Although no one appears to know if magic exists with the flicking of their top hats, every few generations, there ends up being one that can mix a small dose of an element into their weapons. Isaak’s is ice.
