Vasilisa frowned a little at the question mark in his voice, a tinge of fear flashing in her eyes. Why....oh, he had probably been dissapointed by her silly mistake of calling him pretty. Why hadn't she thought before speaking? Oh, she knew the answer well enough. Her mind was too overwhelmed with the fact that he was talking to her. It had been far too long since she had spoken with someone in a familiar way. She was sure if she kept up with these little mistakes, he'd leave her for sure, dissapointed that she wasn't what he had thought.
She thought over his question and smiled, all traces of her fear and anxiety wiped off her face, happy smile back in place. "I am a little bit hungry, now that you mention it. What about you?" A nice cheeseburger with fries.....with a milkshake....She could smell the delicious food now, her stomach contracting and demanding tribute like an angry god.

Adrian sighed mentally, relieved that he could get them off that subject. There was no telling how much more embarrassment or humiliation they were both going to experience if that conversation continued. He swallowed, also relieved that she was indeed a bit hungry. Speaking of which, his stomach had roared at him a few times since he got there, too..
"How 'bout we go get something, hm?" He suggested, rising up from the tree root he sat on. For a moment, he kept both hands in his jeans pocket but he soon held his hand out to her, to help her up. Seemed polite, despite their previous awkward moment.

Lissa smiled as he extended his hand to her, happy he wasn't irritated with her for her...well, to be be blunt, her stupidity. She took his hand and stood up, dusting off the back of her skirt. She gave him a smile. "So...do you have a specific place in mind? Or are just going to wander around until we find a place?" She did know that they had very good food at the food court in the mall...Well, she'd mention it if worse came to worse. She walked forward a bit before turning around and giving a small grin. "So, tell me more about your life so far."

As they left their little spot, he walked close by her, their arms sometimes brushing against each other. His hands were in his pockets, fidgeting with the lint or his cell phone which resided in one of the front pockets. "Actually, I don't really know, perhaps we will just wander about until we find a decent place," He responded, his voice seeming embarrassed and not knowing where they should go.
He blinked at the follow up question, swallowing hard as he thought about what he should say. It was Lissa.. It wouldn't hurt to let her in on a few secrets, but no one would ever know about his so called addiction. He drew his gaze back to her, "You know most of the details about why I came here, ever since my parents killed those people for god knows what reason, I haven't had much luck with the people back in Montana," His body shivered at the mere mention of that horrid place. "Other than that, it hasn't been all that eventful. What about yours?"

Trying to ignore the growing blush on her cheeks whenever their arms brushed against each other, Lissa nodded. "Sounds good to me."She said, totally ignorant of the embarressed tone in his voice.
She blushed and looked down. She had forgotten all about that. "Right...Well...Everyone back there were all assholes. And they still are. Trust me." Her expression turned a little dark when he asked her about herself. "I've been going along. I never had much luck with anyone back in Montana either. My parents brought me here so I could help people without being pestered. Of course, all to the benfit of them. I hardly know what they would do if I wasn't a freak." Her tone turned bitter before quickly changing the subject with a bright smile. God, she just wanted the relief the blade gave when it met her skin and all those shitty feelings on the inside became tangible in red on the outside. "I'm sure you've made a lot of friends here, though, right?"
