"They usually throw the whole 'you can't force me to do what I don't want to' in your face when you try to be firm with them." She wasn't too worried about them participating, at least they could do the theory bit of the work, if they didn't want a future in science then that was fine with her. It was just one of her goals for the year to try and get full class participation.
"What kind of experiements would you do to keep them interested in terms of Physics?" She asked, curiously.

Caleb had to shrug in terms to her comment; if he had been running her class, he would have expected full participation in both the theory and the practical parts of class. Still, if she didn't want to force them, then he couldn't make her... at least, not yet. Maybe he should work on something that could control people's minds... He could even give extra credit to his students whose mental gifts could help him create it. Now, there was an idea... since he was at a place with all of these gifted students, he should use their gifts to create his own devices. He'd give them proper credit, most likely on tests.
The man blinked as he realized a question had been directed at him, and uncrossed his arms to shrug. "It really depends on what you're covering. For projectile motion, you could do something with toy guns. Many examples of of friction on an incline seem to involve cars, so you could get a racetrack and such. Mainly it would be taking toys and showing how physics would apply to them... for some reason, despite being teenagers, they seem to lap this sort of thing right up."

Kayami nodded as he spoke, agreeing with him and taking some of the suggestions into consideration. Maybe she could try it when they move onto physics? Or use some for her Twelfth Year Physics glass? "They sound good. Although, I worry about the Twelfth years sometimes, they are often the ones that get the most excited about such experiments," It was true, they were like kids in a candy store.
The frog wandered a little, hopping around her desk, closer to Caleb as if to inspect him. He was a foreign smell, presence and everything. The frog simply leaped onto the desk near him, staring.

Caleb lightly laughed at the woman's observation, nodding in agreement to it. "It's almost like there's a mental regression that happens where the older they get, the more they want to go back to being children again. Then again, it makes teaching things like that easier... though at some point, the lab does have to end." It was almost ironic; either the students wouldn't want to do the work, or they get so into it, they never want that to end. It was humorous... and slightly annoying.
The man paused to look down, seeing that the amphibian had moved closer to him. Now this was an animal he could dissect, considering that it was showing intelligence vastly superior to its species. What made him tick... even if it didn't really help advance anything scientifically, it would be fun. If he was fast enough, he could start it before the female noticed...

Nodding again, Kayami agreed. She was enjoying talking to this man, he was interesting yet she couldn't help but sense something more cynical behind those glasses of his but she wasn't entirely sure.
Seeing her frog near Caleb, Kayami rose up from her seat, walking over to the man and her pet, "Sorry, he's very protective of his er... 'territory'," She remembered their first day of teaching, he was hopping around each of the desks to inspect all the students to make sure they were legit. Kayami held out her hands, a few moments passed of more staring before the frog retreated back into her hold.

Caleb nodded absentmindedly as the woman spoke, not breaking the eye contact with the amphibian. It definately could understand what was going on around it, though he wasn't sure how that had happened. Dissecting it to figure it out, though, wouldn't happen right now; the other teacher was watching. Well, maybe she would reveal her secrets later... if not, then after he got her out of the way, it would meet its end.
The man noticed that it had leaped back into her hands, and studied her face for a moment, seeing if there was anything else. There didn't seem to be. He smiled again, waving one hand. "Oh, it's no mind, considering that I came here. I would have to say, it's nice to meet you." His conversational skills were at an end here, so he might as well leave for now... he could think more and make a decision later.

The frog stared at him again before turning around to face Kayami as he rested in the palms of her hands. He leaped up onto her shoulder, using it as a spring board to jump to the other desks and join her small fish in their tank.
"It's nice to meet you too, Caleb," She replied, a warm smile on her lips as she tilted her head to the right a little. "And it's been nice talking to you, too, I'm glad we can share experiences and have a few things in common," She wondered if they would ever meet up again like this. It seemed very unlikely, they were teachers, and he seemed... a bit on the antisocial side.

Caleb nodded in agreement, though his mind was already wandering; the woman didn't seem too bad, though this was an initial impression. It could easily change, especially if he pushed at it to test it. But that was what science was all about: testing what is there to see what else you can learn about it. And he wouldn't be a scientist if he didn't check from many different angles.
The man slid his hand back into his pocket, giving a small mock bow. "Always a pleasure to hear that; I'll take my leave then," he said, a light grin playing at his lips as he turned, casually strolling out the door. Well, now he had a face... and a name, if he could remember it; the games would begin shortly.
