[Faye]

Sven watched her serve up the dinner, how absentminded she looked as she did it. He worried about her, a lot. He nearly dropped the plate as she handed it back to him, but he regained its balance on his hand and turned to place salad on to it.

"Th-thursday..? With who..?" He asked, but soon her being sick became more important, "Are you going to be.. alright?" For a moment, he felt very distant from her. There was something between them, it was as if he reached out to her, he would never reach.

[Nicolette]

Katherine gave the faintest of smiles, nothing in comparison to what Matthew could easily pull up. "I'll be fine." She assured him before she turned and walked into the living room. "I'll discuss my Thursday plans after you've eaten..."

She walked over to her little window and she sat up in it... But she didn't pull her pack of cigarettes from her pocket. Instead, she gazed out into the darkening sky, wondering what the world had in store for her next. It had been so long since she'd felt so depressed... And a lingering memory rested deep in the back of her mind, reacting to the depression.

[Faye]

Awkwardly, Sven stood with his plate in his hand, watching Katherine as she made her way to the window that had been dubbed her own. Not only did she not bring out any cigarettes, but she just stared out the window, looking incredibly depressed. He sighed, deeply, setting his meal down on the counter.

"Look, I can't eat or even think about enjoying the meal until you tell me what's wrong.. I've never seen you so depressed like this," He said as she sat near her, the smell of cigarettes lingered around this window so he tended to steer clear of it but he would have to endure for now.

[Nicolette]

Katherine was very quiet for a long moment, even after her boyfriend came to her side. She wasn't quite sure what to say to him. The only logical thing would be to just tell him flat out her plans for Thursday. They weren't particularly bothering her, but they were a small part of it since it was what brought out the other persona in her.

"Kiwi and I are going out to dinner on Thursday." She said softly, her eyes continuing to gaze out into the dark sky.

[Faye]

"Wh-what? As.. as.. friends... right?"

He blurted out, sounding very worried and scared. Yes, Matthew was technically a different person but also, Katherine was technically Matthew, who was Sven's girlfriend, so it would almost be like cheating yet the partner would know about it.

Wow, confusing.

He hesistated as he reached out with his hand to place it on her thigh but jerked his hand back at the last second. Feeling so distant from her made it seem inappropriate. What was with tonight?

[Nicolette]

Katherine shut her eyes. She couldn't bring herself to gaze outside any longer, especially after hearing the tone in Sven's voice. She knew that this would be difficult, but with the thinking she had been doing... Well, it was a difficult decision she had come to. But it was logical.

"No, Liebling..." She whispered. "She asked me out to dinner, and usually when a young female asks a young male out to dinner... It often is not meant as just friends..."

She turned her gaze back to the man, looking up through her glasses at him. She reached out, taking his hand in her own and squeezing it weakly. She wouldn't blame him if he tore his hand away from her...

[Faye]

The first part of her reply, Sven's heart sank.

And sank even further down into a pit in his stomach with the following words that left her mouth. He felt her hand weakly squeeze his and he squeezed back, gently. His eyes dodged hers, he couldn't look at her, he was so confused and he didn't know what to feel.

He knew it was for the best since people would get suspicious about them spending so much time together. But, she was his. His one and only. He had said he loved her and he didn't change into an animal. To him, that meant something. "I.. I suppose there isn't much I can do about that, then..."

[Nicolette]

Sven was holding something back. Katherine knew it well and she brought her hand to curl against his until her nails pressed lightly against his skin. Her eyebrows drew together a little and her lips pressed into a light pout. She looked up into the face of the man before her before she brought both of her hands to her lap.

"You're upset." It wasn't even a question. She knew full and well that he was upset over this... Which Katherine found rather foolish.

[Faye]

"Yes and no.. I don't know..." He felt upset, but at the same time he just wanted to accept it and move on to his deliciously smelling dinner and some coffee. Why wouldn't his heart let him..?

Sighing, he reached over, taking her hand in his again, giving it a light squeeze and brought it up to gently brush against his lips. "I don't know what to feel, I trust you, so I should just leave it, I'm sure it'll pass," He forced a smile to his lips, seeming convincing but deep down he knew something would go wrong somewhere down the line.

[Nicolette]

Katherine wasn't convinced... But she let out a softl sigh and nodded gently as she hopped down onto her feet. She leaned up to press her cool lips against his warm mouth for a moment before she pulled back and moved passed him.

"I'm going to head to bed early tonight..." She made it all the way to her bedroom door before she looked back, gazing through thick lenses at the man.

"I love you..."

[Faye]

The kiss was warm, yet didn't send the same sparks through him like they normally did. There was something, but it wasn't quite the same.. that was all. He watched her leave for her bedroom, "I.. I love you too, sleep well, dear," He replied, giving her a weak smile as she retired for the night.

Sighing deeply, he stood from the chair and went into the kitchen where he grabbed his plate of food, setting it on the table. He then retrieved his iPod and laptop from his bedroom, setting them down beside his dinner.

The night progressed on and Sven typed away at his laptop, continuing to organise things for the following months Festival, making sure everything was going to be sorted and run smoothly. Although, the later he stayed up, the less he could be bothered getting up, so, at around 2:17am Sven finally fell asleep, his head rested on his laptop, and his earbuds still in his ears where they continued to play music from his iPod, spiralling out into a dream he never remembered.
