[For the most part, this is for Sven and Nicolette but due to the fact that it's the Student Council office, any Student Council members are allowed to join.]
The Spring Break had come to a close and for this member of the Student Council body, it felt a little strange to be back in a fully English speaking area. Actually, it was a relief more than anything, he had grown uneasy due to not being able to understand a word the Germans were saying. He merely understood simple phrases that the Radiance band had said but only slightly.
Yes, he met Radiance. His favourite band in the entire universe, he was over the moon about that but he couldn't express his excitement for meeting them. Katherine, his girlfriend, wasn't in the best state in the world and now he knew the truth and he had to keep it from her. He swallowed as he thought of Jakob's threat to him if he even breathed a hint to her about it.
He shook it off and took a sip of his coffee, walking down the halls of the T'zenshin Institute where he found himself at the Student Council office. He had to see Nicolette about what he needed to do and what he had missed out on. Thinking of Nicolette made him shiver, would she be mad at him for being gone all Spring Break? Surely not... She would understand... it was.. and emergency. Not really, he forced Katherine into letting him go with her..
His hand gently twisted the cool door knob and he pushed the door open, "Nicolette?"

The assembly that morning had gone by smoothly, though the last thing she wanted to do was get in front of the whole student body and deliver a speech about how she's glad everyone made it back to the island safe and how they need to start thinking about their semester exams coming up at the end of May, along with announcing that the Spring Festival would be held from April 30th to May 6th.
Student Council had been swamped with work over the break. Since she had stayed on the island to get quarter grades sent out, she had also gone through paperwork that had been submitted by the leaders of various clubs. The Tennis Club needed new raquets. The Newspaper Team needed ink for their printers. The Music Club was asking permission to run a fundraiser for their upcoming trip to a festival in California, USA. The Karate Club needed new sparring pads. Everyone needed something, and Nicolette had to contact the people to get everything.
And where was her Student Council Vice President? AWOL. No note, no call, no email. Nothing. He simply vanished into thin air. Leaving Nicolette to work on her own, since the rest of Student Council had spent their break at their respective homes.
Now, Miss Nicolette De la Fontaine would not be upset, had Sven Carlisle actually let her know he wouldn't be on the island for Spring Break. That would have given her advance notice in order to know how to pace everything, and possibly even to ask if someone else could stay behind. But when Nicolette had called up Sven's dormitory, and then had even gone there to call upon him in person, he was no where to be found. She went multiple times that first day, only to find that Sven Carlisle, indeed, was gone.
And Nicolette De la Fontaine was not pleased.
She sat at her computer that lunch period, tired eyes focused on the screen, but not quite reading the information on it. She seemed to do a lot of that these days. It was another request form, this one coming from the Art Club. They needed new paint brushes and a new class-set of colored pencils for the Art Class.
The door opened and her multi-colored eyes slowly turned to look at the door. Upon seeing who had arrived, those eyes slowly narrowed into an out-of-character glare, one that definitely did not belong on the face of the quiet, reserved Student Council President.
"Oh, so you are alive." Her voice dripped in dark sarcasm.

Sven winced at the glare he received from Nicolette as he made himself known that he was there. He opened the door further and stepped inside the room, a sigh escaping his lips. He should've known this was coming, he left without saying a word to her, he should of said something but he was in a hurry and they had to leave for their flight to Germany. "Y-yes.." He replied to her sarcasm, however he may as well be dead really.
"Nicolette, I'm sorry..." Was what next came out of his mouth. But then he thought, what was sorry going to do? Bring them back to before they left and give him enough time to say where he was going. God he should of written a note and given it to the lobby person to give to her when they saw her walking by. He should have phoned her when they were waiting for their flight. "I.. I didn't think I was going to be gone all break.." He continued, taking a seat near her desk and placed his coffee down.

Nicolette watched the male come fully into the office, seeming nervous and hesitant. This was something that Nicolette found herself pleased to see. She wanted him to feel the guilt of having left without notice. She pressed the button on her computer moniter to shut it off and turned her full attention to Sven, sitting forward and folding her hands delicately on top of the desk.
"As a member of the Student Council, and the Vice President no less, it is required that you alert us of when you plan to leave for breaks. I assume you had read the guide book for the Student Council, and that rule was one of the first ones."
She paused for a moment to give him a meaningful glance, showing that she hoped that he did read the guidebook. She then continued, moving to sit back lightly against her chair, keeping dual-colored eyes locked on him.
"Given your position, what would have happened if I had planned to go home to my family in France since I had been under the impression that my Vice President would be here to take care of the work that would be left to us? With your disappearance, I would have had to tell my father that I was deeply sorry that I would not be coming home like I had promised. I would have left my seventh grade brother to get on a plane all on his own to go home to France while I stayed here and worked."
She let the information sink in for him, but cut him off before he could say anything. "Lucky for you, my brother and I had agreed to stay on the Island for this break since I had some business to attend to and our father was going on a trip."
She let out a small sigh, her eyes softening a little. "I do not wish to be so harsh on you, Sven..." She spoke honestly. "But if I am not harsh, then how will I be able to get the important values into your mind?"

Well yes, he had read the guidebook and he did know he would have had to report to them and tell them that he would be away for the break but he didn't have the time! Him leaving was a spurr of the moment kind of thing, he was actually planning on staying on the island with Katherine and do Student Council things but nooo... Katherine wanted to leave during the night and wake him up.
He went to open his mouth to speak but Nicolette kept talking, droning on about how he should have been there and that he was lucky she had agreed with her brother that they would remain on the island for the break since their father had gone out on a trip. He swallowed, feeling guilt spill over him and he hung his head.
Finally she had stopped talking, and her final comments were nothing but true. She had every right to be harsh on him but he... "I am very sorry, Nicolette... I promise this won't happen again!" There he went, apologising again when it could do nothing but waste his breath. "I promise from now on I will put everything I can into the Council while still keeping up with actual school," Well that was a bit of a stupid promise. What about Katherine? Too late now. He would work something out, he always did.

Nicolette's eyes softened and she let out a soft sigh as she sat back in her chair, relaxing just a bit. She could see the guilt Sven had and her anger had started to fade away, though she was still a bit upset over the harsh workload she had dealt with in his absence.
With his promise, Nicolette stood from her chair. "Than please boot up your computer and get into the Student Council email account. There are some requests I would like for you to look in to. I am absolutely sick of reading requests and I need a break..." She sounded worn-out.

Sven quickly nodded and grabbed his coffee, sitting down at his station of the Student Council, booting up the computer. The computer whirred and loaded up the main screen, he watched it as it loaded up. He then turned to Nicolette, listening to her worn-out voice and his eyes softened and laced with concern, "You should go lie down or something..." There was something awfully strange about her that he thought the entire time she's known her.
She was always worn out, not only by the work load but she didn't seem very stable anyway. Was she not getting enough to eat? Or not enough iron in her system? Probably one of those two. Maybe she needed to see the nurse..
Once the computer had loaded up he opened the Council's email account, typing in the username and password and noticed there was a mountain of request forms filled out and mailed to them. He sighed mentally and opened the one from the art club requesting new paint brushes and pencils, aprons and several other things. Sighing again, but out loud this time, he began sorting it out.

"I will... be fine." Nicolette started for the door leading out of the Student Council room. "I have a meeting with the Headmaster in a few minutes, so I have no time to rest. I will be seeing you later."
She turned and started for the exit of the Student Council room.

Sven watched her leave, worrying about her as she went for the door, he hoped that she got there safely and didn't collapse or anything stupid like that. Once she had completely left the room, his eyes fell back onto the computer screen, his eyes scanning the several different request forms been sent in by many captains of the clubs around.
Speaking of which... he needed to get a hold of the newspaper club and see how things were going in there in his absence. He'd probably get a ruck up there, too. He sighed to himself, working away, the only sound in the room being the clicking of his mouse.
