APPEARANCE DETAILS
Appearance: Adrian has short cropped dirty blond hair, that has never seen a comb, brush, or speck of gel. He goes for the natural, I just got out of bed and could care less how my hair looks look. That goes for just about everything, and this at least, he has in common with his brothers, it was one of the few. With his small build he was the odd one out in the family, fragile when compared to his beefy brothers. Fragile, short, and much to energetic. He got his hair, his build, his eyes(a predictable blue), and just about every physical feature from his mother. His father’s genes didn’t seem to contribute anything to his appearance, attitude (well maybe the fact that his father isn’t as devout as his mother… and Adrian isn’t devout at all) or well, anything really.
When standing on his tip-toes, he reaches his fathers chin, which is about 6 feet in the air... so its understandable, still, he's only 5'2" and despite the fact that he has long since made his peace... it's still a little annoying to be the runt of his family.
Clothing Style: Adrian wears what’s comfortable. And what he gets as gifts, like from his parents. Basically, he doesn’t shop, he wears what his mommy buys for him, (Though he only calls her that when he really wants something… usually accompanied my “dearest” and “whose presence in my life brings infinite joy and bliss” or some other equally sentimental and ridiculous phrase.) or was handed down to him by his brothers. So most of his clothing is either tailored directly for him, or belonged to his brothers. The one thing he really takes care to wear are his jackets, he has several different ones, but he has a thing for jackets… or hoodies… or anything you can put over another garment, especially if it has pockets.
Special Accessories: Adrian has lots of pockets, he carries many things in those pockets. When switching jackets, it takes a while to switch all the items.... and he generally misses a few.
At almost any point in time, Adrian will have a pocket knife on him. Not necessarily the same one, but he will always have something sharp on him.
Around his neck and under his shirt, he wears what looks like a small perfume bottle. The shard of hollowed out crystal, is actually just a container for water. The water provides a resting place for undines, like a security blanket, the creatures like being near him and he likes the thought of a fire buffer.
He received a a round flat metal locket, it's circumference about the same as a water bottle. He has never actually opened it, but he carries it around with him anyway.
PERSONALLY
Over-all Personality: With little control over his tongue Adrian finds it hard to keep anything quiet, and if it were to come down to it, telling him a secret would not be the best idea. (Although, on occasion he has been known to keep important things from certain people) He is fairly personable with “the gift of gab” as his grandmother had put it, garrulous would be a word to describe him, annoying might be another. The youngest of six he has little brother syndrome and by this, it is meant that he has a knack for tagging along where he isn’t wanted and is in the habit of getting what he wants. Adrian develops sentimental attachments to just about anything, whether it’s people or places or even just clothing.
(In his words “My favourite one is this one with all of the pockets because they’re all sorted out around it and there are lots of places to put things like my sketchpad or my notes {as in music, not actual academic work} or possibly just random things I don’t feel like immediately throwing away. last time I forgot one of those red permanent markers in one of the pockets on my other jackets and it exploded or something in the washing machine anyway it was white, now its sort of a pinkish color, but I still wear it, mostly because its warm and has these little strips of fabric on it that I play with when I’m bored, also a little bit because people say pink is a girls color and I like to defy stereotypes at every chance I get. Then again I’m gay so its kind of counterproductive but don’t tell anyone I told you because it’s not so much public knowledge my Dad would send me to one of those Christian anti-gay camps and my mother would have a fit. Also against my better judgement I’m a little embarrassed”)
To add to this he barely pauses to take in air when he talks… some people find it endearing... Energy is never in short supply with him, possibly connected to the copious amounts of sugar he ingests. He loves sports like Singles Tennis, swimming, rock climbing and fencing, he loves being energetic and active, but despises teamwork… well he doesn't despise it, he just hates people depending on him.
He has his own issues, which for him, have no identifiable starting point. He has always been a bit of a masochist, and he never tells anyone. If someone found out, they would probably think it was a cry for help it’s not, he just likes the sight of his own blood. As such, he never hurts himself where it can be seen, or at least noticed. So he covers himself in lines and as the blood wells up, he gets giddy, excited, almost euphoric. He once saw another kid snap his shin, sending the bone through the kid’s skin… but he didn't get the same rush, it wasn't disturbing or exciting... nothing like when he sees his own blood. Still he is fascinated by the sight of his own blood and feeling pain, if not at the sight of others.

BACKGROUND
History: Adrian has a large family, his parents (Devout Christians) never believed in birth control. So anyway, Adrian was the last child they had. So either his parents have stopped having sex (Doubtful) or his dad got a vasectomy behind his mothers back. As the runt of the family he earned the title, never growing as large as any of his brothers, it was like he got all of his mothers(A petite blond) genes and none of his fathers(A hulking Brunette). But to be thankful for something, only about half his clothes were hand-me-downs the rest were tailored to fit him.(His parents are rather well off, something about investing in some oil company) So, throughout his life he never really had something to complain about. He had all the care he could want, older brothers who only on occasion bullied him, and all the friends he could ask for.
Just because he wasn’t complaining, didn’t mean there weren’t problems though. All of his friends were apparently imaginary, no one else could see the gnomes playing in the garden, or the Sylphs dancing in the air, or the Undines gracefully darting through the water, and they definitely didn’t notice the salamanders glaring at him from inside their toasty little fires. So, when mud got traipsed into the house, he got blamed, when the windows snapped open and papers flew everywhere in the sylphs playful dance, he got blamed, When the water over flooded the bathtub as the undines played in it, Adrian invariably got blamed. And when the salamanders nearly burned down the house trying to get to him… to hurt him, Adrian got blamed.
Most of the time he didn’t mind, mostly, because after his father yelled at him, his mother would coddle him for weeks. He was her little boy. And while this earned ire of his brothers, he was their little boy too. So in school, when he was made fun of for talking to his imaginary friends a child would mysteriously end up with a bloody nose the next day. It was an easy life for him. And while he wasn’t popular with his peers’ he didn’t need to be. He had his elementals.
He never actually knew why he out of all his family could speak with the creatures, but he knew that schizophrenia apparently ran in his family… which was probably just people doing what he could do. He wished he knew what had happened, or how to better control the actions of the elementals that congregated around him.
Then… there was the effect it had on his teachers. He was clumsily diagnosed with schizophrenia by a crackpot psychologist and placed in classes for children with special needs. The classes were repetitive, and for someone of perfect (well… mostly perfect) mental health, completely useless. Once the teachers realised he was capable of more, they allowed him to return to normal classes… 2 years behind. He managed to catch up by a year, but… since he was never the most gifted in academics; he never caught up to the next year.... not that he got the chance.
He was taken into homeschooling when his powers began acting up, more frequently. Not only was he home schooled, but he was kept at home at all times unless it was to go to a church for confession... or an exorcism. To say the least Adrian despises modern religion, IE. Christianity, Judaism, Islam. well, really, just anything that resembles Christianity in the slightest. The fact that his parents thought he was possessed by a demon is enough to turn anyone off religion... not that they treated him badly... but he practically bathed in holy water. Actually he did once or twice.
When they finally realised that religion couldn't help... they figured "God helps those who help themselves." and after hearing about a friends child exorcising a poltergeist that followed her... they sent Adrian to T'zen. His parents had sent him with his best interests at heart. They thought he was slow, and apparently this school could help… thankfully it wasn’t a mental institute in disguise, in fact it had been exactly what he needed. And although he wasn’t sure what they could do for him, he figured it was better than setting fires wherever he went and generally mucking things up when he got excited. So he transferred to a school in the middle of nowhere, attending regular classes as well as the ones that could probably help him with his so called power. He didn’t really consider it a power, he could just see the elementals, not all of them even liked him.
Secrets: Adrian was born gay... not that he knew it until he was older, but at the same time, it was always there. And with his parents predispositions... it would have caused problems. He has never admitted it to anyone.
Since he watched a doctor push a bone back into his arm (He had fallen from a tree while playing with sylphs). Adrian had always been interested in the sight of his own blood. After that (at the age of 10) he started to occasionally use knives on himself. It wasn't out of a need to end his life, or an unsubtle cry for help. It was the pain, the exquisite pain that at certain times could press all the right buttons. And then there was the blood, the ruby red droplets that would fall from an incision, and the metal tang of his lifeblood as he licked it off of his skin... it was apparently unhealthy... but he enjoyed it. When he started cutting, he stopped wearing anything that would show skin. The only real sacrifice was when he gave up swimming, and since where he came from, it wasn't all that often he got to swim... it was a fair trade off. Once, when he was playing with his knives and watching his blood trail down his arms, he realized something. His blood could be used to call and even compulse a darker type of creature that wasn't anything like his regular elementals.
Gift: Adrian can see, communicate and to some extent manipulate minor elemental creatures that are associated with earth, water and air. Namely, gnomes, undines and syphs. At the same time, he is unable to even go near fire, for fear that the salamanders that rest there, will burn him alive. Only people with a sensitivity to such things would be able to see them, this includes those with the ability to see planes other than the earthly one, as well as the occasional telepath. though occasionally it has been said that a rare few are gifted with the ability to see the creatures by the elementals themselves.
Adrian's ability was passed onto him through his mother from his grandmother. The power was passed to every first born female of the second generation. Adrian received the power because his father lacked the x chromosome in his semen, failing to produce a daughter.
With the use of his own blood he can call on darker elementals to help him... those that are generally thought of as evil. Ice-drakes, redcaps, and banshees to name a few.
A full list of elementals has never been provided, but of those that have been encountered, these are the most common. But before the descriptions are provided two points must be made. Firstly they are never clothed, modesty is useless to them. Secondly they can also take on most any appearance they wish... but these are what they normally look like.
The Sylphs take on the appearance of adolescent females. They appear wispy and indefinable to most, only standing still for moments at a time. They are pale and almost translucent, with no discernible internal organs. Their label as female comes not because of their appearance, which could pass for a young boy, but because of their attitudes, voices, and the bond shared with the undoubtedly female Undines.
The Undines look like real full figured women. You know real curves you cant see their ribs. ect. I they look basically like they are made of water, matching the appearance of the surface to land creatures, sometimes appearing blue in clear streams, or green in oceans, occasionally a muddy brown when their homes have been disturbed (do avoid them as they are likely to be angry) Their hair molds to their body, sometimes melding with it, some times forming from it, but almost always is conveniently falls over their breasts. They share a close bond with the Sylphs.
The Golems come in as many colors as there are earth, often even taking on the texture and color of cement or asphault. They appear as well built adult males, often over muscled. Their faces are nondescript and their bodies tend to look as if they were popped out of a mold. They are sexless, but the rest of their bodies are fairly masculine, and if you asked one, he would probably identify better with human males than females. They are the hardest to tell apart, in fact it is questioned whether they operate as a hive. If they were forced to make a decision to side with fire or water, they would chose the salamanders, though whether it is because of airs friendship with water... is unknown. Those who have bonded with Adrian would overcome their natural tendencies and aid him as they have in the past, despite his allegiance with water.
Salamanders appear as yound adult men in their prime, as similar as golems are, Salamanders are different, keeping only the approximate age and... well endowed nature in common. They are prideful creatures but strangely enough most often appear in the form that gives them their name, that of a salamander. Whatever their form their flesh is always tinged the dark red and black of a smoldering coal, and they are eternally sheathed in flame. Their hatred of Undines prevents them from any close associations with Sylphs, despite the powerful combination the two make together.
Some creatures have yet to be named, their species unstudied. Often times they devour those who would learn of their nature. These creatures don't make any close ties with the natural elementals, their nature being in destrution opposing the natural cycles of the elements. They often seek out humans to use and manipulate because of their destructive nature. Adrian has encountered several of these, seeing them but for moments.
He did however encounter some of them, fairly unintelligent parasites that have often been claimed to be related to vampires... though this is probably about as true as the relationship with vampires to vampire bats. The creatures appear as grey skinned demons, their heads misshapen with long noses, their eyes to big for their skulls. When they open their circular mouths, a tongue that can extend 6 inches (about their height) is revealed behind three rows of razor sharp teeth that go all the way around their mouth.
