Date of Birth: July 1

Place of Birth: Hong Kong, China

APPEARANCE DETAILS
Appearance:
Jing is around 5'9, and he's still a growing teenager. He has a naturally wiry body, and he likes to exercise daily. He has not so very broad shoulders. He tans easily, and has developed a light caramel skin tone. His hair is a very dark brown, barely passing over his shoulders. He tends to let it grow out, and only cut it every few years. He usually wears his hair in a loose, careless pony-tail. Sometimes he forgets, or just doesn't bother to shave in the morning and has the beginnings of a beard by the end of the day. Some people would say his eyes are droopy as if he's very sleepy and a dark gray color. Jing also has no eyelashes, and because his bangs are shaggy and long they hang in front of his face, covering his eyebrows. He keeps his bangs long, so no one would ever see his eyebrows, which are a brilliant shade of red, and also his natural hair color.
His female form, Asami, what he has nicknamed her, is just a female version of his male self and she has the same features at Jing. As Asami, Jing has shrunk down to 5'6 and is a shapely teenage girl with a DD cup and wide hips. There are small differences between Jing and Asami, too. Asami has a darker eye color than Jing, and pointed, elven-like ears.

Clothing Style:
Jing most important rule about his clothes is that they must be comfortable at all times. If it's his uniform, he might order it a few sizes too large for himself, and leave a few buttons, or even the tie loose anyway. He might disregard a tie completely. He especially dislikes close toed shoes and socks. He prefers to wear sandals at all ties or if not that, he'll even go barefoot. He has a tendency to wear old loose jeans, t-shirts, sweat pants and shirts or even his pajamas all day.
Special Accessories:
A rough leather necklace with an old key on it. A rubber band for his hair.
PERSONALLY
Over-all Personality:
Jing perhaps has three different sides to his personality, and they may differ if he's alone, with someone he knows personally or in public.
On the surface, Jing is a polite, young man who will always show respect to his elders and authority no matter what because that's a part of who he naturally is and what he was taught. In other words, he knows when to fear or to back down to save himself trouble in the future. Because of that and whenever he doesn't feel like being social, he tends to be reserved and engrossed in his schoolwork. His past peers thought he believed himself too good to talk to them. Even though he did deny it, deep down, a part of him believes it.
Jing is also a guy, like many who is lazy and procrastinate. This is also his pessimistic side that stops him from wanting to be social and such. He can be moody, but you'd never be able to tell because he won't show his feelings, and will act a little sluggish in both appearance and spirit that day. If things don't go his way, or if he's in a bad situation, he'll find a way out by manipulating, or plotting, no matter how long it takes. This is the side of him where he keeps his grudges and plans of revenge, though he rarely ever acts on it.
The third side of Jing is the impulsive and optimistic guy. This is the social guy who smiles genuinely. If you see this Jing than that means he likes you enough or is extremely attached. Something good may have happened to him recently, and he might actually seem genuinely friendly.
Jing has also developed a female persona, called Asami, when he is in his female form, just for the fun of it. She'll act like a stereotypical ditsy girl, and attempt to mess with boys around her who's attracted and doesn't know she's actually Jing. Jing just enjoys mind games, he's not interested in boys as a female.

BACKGROUND
History: Jing was born July 1st, 1996 in Hong Kong, China with flamboyant red hair. His mother and father, nor his grandparents weren't sure why. None of the immediate family had red hair, and they didn't know of any ancestors with any European blood. It was shocking! Jing Chu was the only natural born, Chinese toddler in Hong Kong with red hair. As time passed, Jing came to hate his red hair, he was tortured and teased about it at school and at home! So one day, he came home and begged his parents to dye it a more natural color. Jet black, just like his father, and the rest of his family.
Despite Jing's efforts, his father, Gong was not impressed. Over the years, the man had slowly become convinced that Jing's mother, Yu, had cheated on him with some foreigner. Gong became more jealous, Yu became less tolerant of Gong's possessiveness and their marriage dissolved by the time Jing was four. Jing's sister, Min, was also not pleased with this and developed a grudge against Jing because she believed it was his fault.
Jing was incredibly troubled by this, and put hard work into trying to convince Gong that he was his son. In the end, it didn't work. Yu packed up her children and left China for good.
They started a new life in Tokyo, Japan. While searching for an extra job one day, Yu, a naive woman that she was, met a kind man on the street, and invited him to home with them. Fortunately, it was Satoshi Aida, a thriving entrepreneur, and a good, honest man. Yu and Satoshi's relationship steadily grew until they decided to get married. Satoshi's business became very successful afterwards.
Jing.. Found it hard to adjust to his new life in Tokyo for a while. Satoshi immediately saw this, the man had always wanted a son! So he took Jing under his wing, and gave him a little extra attention and care. Jing was thrilled, he finally found a father who didn't care if they weren't related by blood!
Such luck in school was not found, however. Ever since his early childhood, Jing had been considered a child genius. The public school his mother put him in recognized this, so then Jing was put into a gifted children's program.
At that point, Jing was a nervous, chubby, little kid and quite the cry-baby. He had low self-esteem, and was very shy, so when the other kids picked on him, he didn't defend himself. Jing would have probably stayed this way forever, if it wasn't for one incident when he first discovered his gift. It was very embarrassing, actually. Imagine this small, chubby 2nd or third grader reading a book on the playground, several other children, bullies, rushing up to him and then threatening to beat him up! The chubby, nervous child is very scared then, so he sweats... Profusely. More than natural. So then, the little Jing is standing there with visibly soaked armpits and a soaked crotch of his pants in front of a bunch of vicious 5th and 6th graders. He cried so hard afterwards.
That's only the tip of the iceberg. Not months after that incident, Jing finds out that he can tranform into a girl for the first time... While in the bath with his new step-father, Satoshi. Poor Satoshi was horrified, and couldn't even look at Jing afterwards for weeks.
With not even his mother to turn to at this point, because Yu was worried about Satoshi. Jing found letters from his father, Gong, in the mail. Curious and lonely, he read them, and decided to write back. He eventually got a reply, and feeling helpless, he wrote back with all of his troubles in one letter.
Gong, having learned his lesson for letting his only family walk away from him, left China to visit Jing on his 7th birthday. It didn't take much pleading to Yu and Satoshi to let Gong walk away with Jing.
Jing, though terrified and worried about what his father may think of him because somehow he's already lost two fathers in his young life, went without fear for the first time in his life. What did he have left to lose anyway?
Gong taught him otherwise. First, they traveled around China, and other parts of Asia. Jing, from his father, his new surroundings, and people in it, slowly developed a sense of worth, a sense of self, and self-defense. Eventually, he began to hate himself less, and began to feel ok with being himself, and Asami, who he named after his first crush in Japan.
More than about himself, Jing learned more about the world. He learned new languages, cultures, and even about the mystery of the universe -- women.
Because of this, Jing occassionally, forced by his mother's prompting, sat down in a school building for more than a month. In the end, he missed a whole year of school and of course, had to repeat. That was where Satoshi stepped in, and suggested the T'zenshin Institute.
Intrigued, Jing decided to take a look at it. He knew he eventaully would need an education, and didn't want to be some dirty vagrant like his father.
For the second time in his life, Jing was on an airplane. He was thrilled, it was so exciting! But on the outside, he seemed very calm and collected. This was the person he had grew up to be.
Upon entering T'zenshin Institute, Jing was impressed, but he wasn't all that impressed, truthfully. Sure, it was the first time in the while that he had been around kids his age, and even girls his age, but he just.. Craved more adventure! He missed his dad, he missed the freedom of sleeping on benches in the park! But over the years, he became a master of adaption, and he got over it. He got used to the institute, and explored the place until he knew every nook and cranny... So exciting. He had gotten bored fast, but he got used to it.
In the next few years, he became a creature of habit, fondly remembered his vagrant days, but moved on. Continuously focused on his schoolwork, and kept to himself, but became polite and sociable.
With that, he eased into the personality he has today.
Jing was a little interested in the student council club and the student freedom force. Frankly, he didn't want to be on the losing team if the two groups suddenly butt heads if he chose too soon. For now, he just wanted to settle down and maybe take a nap... That is, if his older than the dirt we walk on, ancestor, Ling would stop disturbing his dreams!
Secrets:
Jing can change into a female at will. Sometimes it's unintentional, and his body changes on it's own, or when he's waking up from a particular dream.
Gift:
Jing is of an ancient ancestry of sea sprites. He can melt into a puddle of water at will, and move freely like a snake in that form. He's the only person in his family who has this ability, and occasionally he can communicate with his dead ancestors through dreams. When also in this form, he can manipulate small pools of water that he's in contact with and make small spheres of water. However, Jing is still learning about all of his abilities, so he's only at this stage.
Sea sprites were originally only female, his ancestors told him this. That's one reason why he's able to turn into Asami. The other reason is if Jing has relations with man as Asami, she could get pregnant and the sea sprite line would continue. Jing is strongly against that, but humors his ancestors because he's afraid of them.
