Certainly, beauty was in the eye of the beholder.
Jada was never much interested in art, but as a child she very much enjoyed dabbling in finger paints and making a mess. She couldn't draw a lick either. The best she could do was very detailed little stick men, and she was proud of those stick men. They were adorable.
It was an hour or two after class had ended, and she had decided to go strolling around town. She was still in her school uniform with a messenger bag that carried her laptop and books at her hip. She wore her hair up in a high pony-tail held together by a blue ribbon today.
The first place she decided to stop by was the art museum. The young detective didn't expect to find any clues about her elusive criminal around the streets of T'zen island or even in the art museum, but it was better to know her way around the city when she decided to do some real investigating later.
Now, inside of the museum, she was observing a few odd paintings in the gallery of one of the locals.

Classes had ended for the day and Adrian Ozera wasn't planning on heading back to his dormitory quite yet, he wanted to visit a few more places around the island, just to get a better feel for the place, if he was going to stay here for the rest of his education. Even though he didn't want to go back, he had already to get changed into some more comfortable clothing. He had chosen a pair of dark, navy blue jeans that were faded a little at the knee and were held up by a black and silver studded belt. He wore a simple rock band t-shirt and a pair of plain black chuck taylors on his feet.
He had stumbled upon the T'zenshin Art Museum, it seemed interesting enough so he walked inside, giving the receptionist a brief wave and an awkward smile.
Inside, there were mainly sculptures that people had made through the first section, he glanced at them, trying to avoid eye contact with any male sculptures as he wasn't sure if he wanted to see anything explicit.
Finally, through to the next section. It was paintings, as his fiery orange eyes gazed over them, he came to the conclusion that some people had to be a little screwed up in the head. There were so many daunting meanings that went along with the paintings.
While browsing through the paintings, he found he wasn't the only one in the museum, which wasn't surprising but it was at the same time. He took a quick glance at her, seeing her (very sexy) mocha skin complexion, a light smile spread onto his lips and he knew he wanted to talk to her. He had to make more contact with people if he wanted to forget his past. However, in the back pocket of his jeans was a sheet of sleeping pills which he was ready to take at any given time...
"They're pretty weird, aren't they?" He said as he stood beside her, looking at the same painting as she was.

She didn't understand why anyone would want to steal paintings such as these. The one that she stood before trying to grasp looked like a scrambled jigsaw puzzle of a lady's body with a couple pieces missing. 'Woman in Need of Peace,' the title said. 'Woman in Need of Plastic Surgery,' she thought. She blamed her lack of artistic talent for her own confusion. If she was a painter, too, maybe she would understand what the artist was trying to say... Maybe she should look up some stuff about paintings like these when she went back to her dorm later. Though she knew from research that Ghost was more interested in stealing prettier and shinier things than this, having at least a little knowledge of it would probably help her in the future.
Jada heard the footsteps approaching her direction, but did her best to ignore them. It was probably just someone genuinely interested in viewing the art unlike her. When he spoke, Jada unintentionally snapped her head in his direction, making her ponytail whip up and smack her in the cheek. She blinked and tilted her head up to look him in the eyes when she spoke. "Yeah, real weird. This one looks like a plastic surgery gone wrong."
After a couple moments, she looked back to the painting, immediately starting to tense up and become nervous despite herself.
He's so tall! And cute! He has such a pretty eye color, too! Perhaps like a sunset..? She couldn't really tell because of his bangs hanging over his eyes. What she could tell is that he's at least in his late teens to early twenties and is very much likely European.
What if he was the artist of the painter that she had just insulted? That would be awkward.. Normally she thought before she spoke. What if he was trying to hit on her?! That wuld be even more awkward! ... Maybe she should just calm down and just try to relax. She shouldn't pass judgement until she had enough evidence.

Taking a closer and more intent look at the girl he had spoken to, Adrian came to the conclusion that she was very cute, and seemed to be quite a bit younger than he was, maybe tenth or ninth grade? Even so, she was cute and seemed very nice to talk to.
"Probly, I never understood what goes through artist's heads when they make paintings," He was trying his best to teach himself that openly talking to people forms good foundations for friendships which is half the reason why he ran away from his home town, Montana. Although, the staring into his eyes while she spoke was a bit off putting but he ignored it once she looked back at the painting.
Which he did, too, his fiery eyes gazed over the painting, screwing his face up at it before he walked a little to the other side of the girl, glancing at another painting. This painting was of a demon like creature that was eating a human body which was naked and female-like, he shuddered at how corrupted the artist seemed. "This one's just creepy," He said as he gestured to the painting.

As he continued speaking to her, Jada started to come to several conclusion. He isn't the artist of any of these paintings, and mostly likely isn't an artist at all. He was probably just a student like her from the institute; he didn't look old enough to be a teacher either. Even though he just seemed friendly, Jada couldn't help but think there was some other ulterior motive he was after to start talking to her in the first place. But then again, maybe she was just being paranoid.
She looked to the next painting over and stared at it the way she had the jigsaw woman. If she was an art theif, she certainly wouldn't steal this. It just wouldn't match the decor of her bedroom, plus she didn't want to have nightmares later. "There's a lot of crazy people into art these days," she said nodding in agreement with the boy.
She walked to the next painting over and grimaced when she saw it. "Ah, I hate clowns."

Adrian was pleased to know that she agreed so much on his perspective of paintings and their artists, though there were some wonderful ones but it seemed the T'zenshin Art Museum Manager only liked creepy paintings because that's all their was. And they must have also liked naked people sculptures. He shuddered at the thoughts they could do to them...
"Clowns, mannequins and all those things are creepy," Adrian replied, looking at the painting she was looking at. His fiery orange eyes wandered across the painting to find themselves gazing at the lovely mocha skinned girl, she really was rather pretty, "I'm Adrian, by the way," He said with a smile.

Jada looked back up to the taller teenager and found herself smiling slightly. She didn't know smiles could be contagious. "Tsuda-, Jada Tsuda," she replied and then went on nervously, "I mean, just Jada. I keep forgetting I'm not in Japan." How embarrassing, a world class detective forgetting what island she's on and the language she's speaking just because of a cute boy. She wasn't even trying to be slow on purpose; Sherlock Holmes was probably rolling over in his grave at the moment. It was a little funny how she introduced herself sort of like James Bond though.
She shifted the baby blue messenger bag she was carrying to her other shoulder, since the laptop she was carrying was starting to strain her. As she turned away to shield herself from anymore paintings, her skirt swished around her legs and rose slightly. She really liked this uniform just for the skirts, they made her feel girlish. Her ponytail wagged lightly behind her as she approached the detailed sculpture of a nude man in a thinking pose in the certain of the room. She couldn't withhold the snigger that she had kept in when she first saw it. "Oh my.. There's only a couple channels that are allowed to show this much body on TV, but here in an art museum, I guess it's perfectly fine."

"Pretty name, fits you perfectly," He said, hinting that she was pretty. She was, really, especially that mocha skin complexion, there was just some sexy about it. Though he wasn't sure if he wanted to pursue further into that region, was he ready for a relationship? What about Lissa? He shrugged, no harm in a friendship.
He watched her twirl around, her skirt flying up a little, spinning in a perfect circle, the material falling graceful back against her smooth looking skin. A blush rose to his cheeks as he felt his heart skip a beat. "A-..ah, yeah.. it's pretty gr-graphic.." He stuttered a little, feeling a little entranced by her swift, graceful movements. "Are you in here for anything in particular?" He asked, trying to distract himself, the sculptures of naked men seemed like a good idea, they were gross and horrible enough.

Jada blinked at the at the subtle compliment that Adrian had given her. Was that... Flirting? Or at least an innocent kind? But for it to truly be that way, she'd have to say something back, wouldn't she? And she just wasn't the type, it was just too embarrassing! She was glad she was facing away from him right now, because she always had the weird habit of furrowing her eyebrows and frowning when she gets embarrassed. "Thank you, that's the first time someone ever said that to me," she said, attempting to smooth the frown from her face.
She curiously glanced back at Adrian when he began to stutter and paused. Now that she had looked again, she was sure of it. He was so friggin' tall! He had the most vibrant eyes that she had ever seen, too, plus she could see that he has freckles, which were adorable.. He'd probably have cute children later in life, (or sooner, teens were going at it earlier and earlier nowadays). For some reason, she was starting to get jealous of his girlfriend or future wife and she'd only just met him. She was so silly.
"Um, not really, I don't have anything to do other than go back to my dorm. I'm just bored." She replied and looked back to the ugly nude sculpture. What kind of thoughts was this guy thinking about?
