Adrian noticed Jing reach over for the rolling pin himself and remembered Jing requesting it before, he immediately felt bad but kept quiet about it. He continued to keep his eyes from Jing's vision as best he could, he really didn't like people staring so much at him when it came to his eyes. But, he didn't have enough money to go out and buy contacts, plus he was lazy. It was just easier to look at the ground all the time.
His eyes widened a little as Jing said his eyes were pretty in Mandarin, he picked that much up. They had gone over adjectives and their grammar structures. "I do. Everyone stares at me when I look up," He took a deep breath and released it as a soft sigh. He hated everyone turning their heads when he started speaking because it was so rare and then their widened eyes, filled with awe and disbelief for how brightly coloured his eyes were, questions about whether they were real or not. It annoyed him.

Jing started carefully laying out the flattened crust into the pie pan, realized spraying the cooking spray was probably a bad idea, but molded the dough into the pan anyway. He took out brown sugar, and cinnamon from the cabinets and helped Adrian peel and slice up the remaining apples with another knife. After a moment, he remembered to turn on the oven and did so.
Jing was pleased to know he had guessed right about Adrian, but felt empathy for him, too. "...Huh, I know how you feel about the staring. I used to have tomato red hair. I used to be the only Chinese kid in Hong Kong who looked to be the love child of Ronald Mcdonald and a Chinese hooker."[/i] Jing smirked at that. He loved his mother, but that didn't mean he wasn't allowed to joke about her every now and then, plus he wanted to try and cheer Adrian up.

At Jing's comment, he couldn't help but smile and let out a tiny laugh that he tried to contain. He hadn't laughed in so long but what Jing said was pretty funny, he couldn't imagine Jing with bright red hair the way he had described it. He shifted the now cut apples over to Jing who was placing the pastry onto the tray, it looked good even if it wasn't cooked quite yet. "You had bright red hair? But.. you're Asian," He said, not meaning to sound offensive to Jing at all, just, it was weird to see someone from Asia that had natural hair that wasn't black.
"That wasn't meant to sound offensive," He added, just to be safe.

After hearing Adrian laugh, Jing joined him and let out a small laugh, too. It had been a while since he talked about his real hair color to anyone, aside from his family. He easily felt a lot less guilty talking about it to Adrian who didn't know anything about his family. When Adrian passed the freshly sliced apples his way, he started to pile the apples into the pie pan and layer them with brown sugar and cinnamon. He really hoped the pie didn't suck and Adrian liked it. Oh god, why was he worrying about if another guy would like his pie? It was so girly.
"None taken," Jing replied with a shrug. Why would he take offense anyway? What Adrian said was logic. "My dad thinks my mom might have slept with an Irishman or something. I'm suspicious that it's either a birth defect or my mom was secretly drinking red food coloring when she was pregnant."[/i] When Jing was done piling and layering the applies, he lifted his shaggy bangs with his wrist to show off his red eyebrows. "Proof." His eyebrows weren't very thick, but weren't all the thin either, and was a bold red color that really stood out on his face. What also terribly stood out when one looked closely at him was the fact that didn't have any eyelashes. Jing also went so far as to regularly shave his arms when he wore t-shirts, since he still disliked the sight of his red hair. Even though he was a seventeen year old boy who shaved (places other than his face) frequently, Jing was still a lot more embarrassed by people seeing his hair.

Adrian was relieved when Jing didn't take any offense with what he had said. He had spoken pure logic then but a lot of people would call him racist and all that crap from what he knew around the school. Racist was thrown around as much as 'I Love You' was. Stupid people.
His bright orange eyes watched Jing layer the apples onto the base, remembering what apple pie tasted like and could remember the smell it had, the crisp crunch of the pastry as you took a bite. Oh it was like heaven but in a pie. "It's possible, people do--" He stopped as Jing showed him his red coloured eyebrows, his jaw dropped a little. He didn't really believe it at first but now he had proof. Wow. That was a vibrant red colour. "W-wow, that's really weird, does all your hair go that colour?" He felt weird about asking whether or not a guy's body hair was that colour too. Felt a little gay..

Jing removed his wrist and let his bangs fall back over his forehead. He carefully laid the dough the would be the top crust of the pie atop of the apples. He gestured to the pie, and then looked at Adrian. "Do the honors?"[/i] He asked, suggesting the other boy to put the pie in the oven. He also noticed that Adrian wasn't keeping his head down as much now that Jing showed him his flamboyantly colored eyebrows.
Do you want to see? Was what first came to Jing's mind when Adrian asked him about his body hair. But he wasn't going to ask that. It just sounded too weird to say that to another guy his age. It would sound like he was flirting. He had already told Adrian that his eyes were pretty, and he was sure that that would be a little too much, unless he start questioning his sexuality again, and he didn't want to go down that road again. "Uh, yeah, everywhere. It's really annoying."[/i]

Adrian blinked, confused as he hadn't quite registered what Jing was gesturing to. He stood there for a good ten seconds before he clicked and laughed nervously but quietly. He moved over to the oven and opened the door, bending over so he could put it all the way down comfortably. He reached over to grab the tray that held their dessert and placed it carefully inside the oven. Probably the closest he'll ever get to cooking.
He closed the oven door and moved to lean against the bench. "Wow, that must be annoying," He answered, feeling sorry for Jing having to be Asian and all your body hair was a vibrant red colour. "How do you hide it during the summer?" Actually, he was wondering why it wasn't showing up now since Jing was wearing a plan ol' t-shirt. Short sleeves. His arms were showing... However, he could see that Jing had little to no hair on his arm. He shaved? Well, that answered his question...

Jing watched and waited for Adrian to realize he was talking about the pie. Deciding not to make to make a comment about it, he reached into the sink, grabbed the bowl of apple peelings and dumped them into the nearby sink. He set the bowl back in the sink, glanced over the dishes that were now piling up in the sink. He didn't feel like washing them now, he'd just do them later, or maybe Adrian would do them.
"It is,"[/i] Jing replied in agreement with Adrian. What was really annoying was waking up with bright red facial hair! When Adrian questioned about hiding his hair, he crossed his arms self-conciously, and started in the next room towards the couch where he was left his laptop. Jing preferred short sleeved shirts to long sleeved shirts, so shaving was a sacrifice he had to make. Girls had it so much easier... But he wasn't going to say that out loud. "An hour until the pie is ready. I'm surprised, I was talking Mandarin this entire time and you understood."[/i]

Confirmation for his question was given once Jing had crossed his arms in a weird fashion, obviously he did shave. Poor guy. Adrian felt sorry for him, having to go to great lengths just to be accepted and somewhat normal around people. He nodded as Jing went into the next room, saying only an hour was needed for the pie. I could make it go faster, but.. He thought to himself, but he decided against using his power like that.
He blinked in confusion yet again as Jing said he was surprised he had understood him that entire time. Well, no, he didn't. He understood random words and pieced it together. He just assumed, most of it. "Um.. well, I didn't understand all of it.. I just know random words in your sentences and pieced them together and hope I got it right," He said with a nervous smile, he really did hope he didn't get a mixed message through what Jing said in Mandarin. He picked up his plate he had gotten for himself before, which had his half of his dinner left on it and continued to eat it slowly, he was feeling a little hungry. However, it was a little cold. His bright orange eyes flicked up to Jing for a brief moment, making sure he was occupied before he gently heated the meal up with his hand that was holding the plate.

Jing slouched and lied over the back of the couch to reach his laptop, which he had set on the couch cushion. He closed out the recipe site and started up one of the MMORPGs on his desktop to play. He just started playing this particular game a few weeks ago and because of Ling forcing him to use up most of his free time for naps, he hadn't gotten to play it recently. In the reflection of his laptop screen, which was blank as the the game loaded up, he saw Adrian staring down at his plate. Jing frowned slightly at the reflection. What was wrong? Did he put too much spice in it?
He shrugged to himself and pressed his fist to his mouth as he waited for the game to load. "It sounds like you catch on pretty quick. Like that I think you'll be fluent or at least be able to translate in no time."[/i] He said, meaning it as a compliment. He looked to Adrian and smiled, "Did I add too much soy sauce or red pepper?"

Once the plate was heated enough to his liking, he glanced up, looking down at Jing's laptop screen, it was blank but he could see numbers going up, like a game was loading or something. He moved into the room and sat down on the couch beside the one he was on. He began eating the rest of his dinner once he got comfortable.
Adrian had a slight confused look on his face, he couldn't quite understand all of Jing's sentence, there wasn't enough words in there that he knew... So he decided to ignore it. Smile and nod.
"Huh? Oh, no, it's perfectly fine," He said, not going into any detail about the fact that he just heated the plate up with his fire magic. "Are you playing a game?" He asked to change the subject.

When the game finally loaded up, Jing turned back to the screen and the words, "Blade and Soul 2," in big, bold lettering flashed before him on the screen. In the background, warriors, a samurai knight in heavy armor and a blue skinned, scantily dressed ninja woman fought. The screen changed to the character selection menu a few moments after. There was only one character he was using currently, and it was scantily dressed female archer under the name of "_Asami_." He selected her and waited for the game to load.
When Adrian spoke again about the food, Jing nodded, pleased that it didn't suck or was at the very least still edible. He wondered if Adrian was the type to lie in order to spare someone's feelings, but he decided not to think so much on it. "Yep, it's Blade and Soul 2, one of the best games that came out this year. The graphics are great and there aren't any stupid chibis either." He answered and frowned a little at the thought of the chibi characters used in other games. He hated chibis.

Adrian watched his laptop screen for a moment, only just seeing the title and his jaw dropped a little. Jing liked MMORPG's as well? Well, that was something they had in common. Maybe that could be something they could do together in the near future or whatever. Adrian nodded, a grin played out on his face, "Yeah, I know, I play it, too," Actually, he just remembered. He had his laptop open, and that game was up as well.
He rose up from the couch and walked briskly back to his room where he lifted his laptop from his desk, thankful he had a wireless card slotted into the laptop so it would still work. He sat the laptop carefully down onto the wooden coffee table that separated the two boys. He noticed he had been logged out so he logged back in as 'Ciix', he was lucky enough to be able to call his user that before anyone else could get their dirty hands on it. "See?" He said as he turned his laptop around to show Jing.

"Really?" Jing was surprised when Adrian said he played Blade and Soul 2. On the other hand, it sort of made sense. What else would he be doing in his room all day if it wasn't something addicting like MMORPG's? He had always wondered what Adrian was up to, but thought it was too nosy to ask. He was also a little surprised because he had never seen Adrian smile that broad before.
He watched Adrian walk in and out of the room, returning to his laptop, and true to his word, Blade and Soul was on his screen. "Sweet! What level are you on?" Jing asked and then crawled over the couch to sit properly, since his middle was starting to ache from leaning over it the way he was. He studied Adrian's screen a bit more. "You're Ciix! I can't believe it!" He was reminded of a moment in game a week ago, where he attempt to have his archer, Asami, rob another player for money, which was legal in the game after a fight. It turned out to be Ciix, and since Asami was on a low level then, she lost the fight. He'd been attempting to stalk Ciix in game ever since just for fun. "You killed me!" He said and laughed.

Since Adrian did barely anything in spare time besides play this game, he had gotten to a pretty decent level and was kind of well known throughout the game but only be a select few. He moved his mouse a little so it wouldn't log him out automatically because it thought he was no longer around. He blinked a few times as Jing said who he was in such shock and then mentioned that he had killed him once. He looked at his screen, studying it carefully.
He couldn't quite remember... He killed a few people lately, "Hmm..." He then clicked, he'd seen that character hanging around in some of the places he had been too lately, "Ah! I remember seeing you around... and I also think I remember you trying to rob me," His voice got lower and slightly more irritated (though it was playful than serious) as he got to the end of the sentence. "Do you play often?" He was curious if he had several accounts for certain things or just started or just couldn't find the time to play very often.
