Surely, there weren't enough time in a school day.
It was the end of Osaze's first week of teaching, and he wasn't sure if it had gone very well. He was friendly and casual, and even suggested going by first names with everyone, once he remembered them all. However, right away when he started giving out multiple assignments, the students seemed to get bummed and he wasn't sure why. He was sure he made a good impression and most others said he did.
Right now, he was still in the English class, sitting at his desk, grading pop quizzes that he had given out an each class today. He wasn't sure why, but some students who were the ones to fail most horribly on the quizzes, complained about testing them so early. Osaze pouted to himself and leaned by in his swirly desk chair. Back in his day, children would have been thrilled to have someone teach them so passionately. Kids today are so strange!
He reached forward onto his desk and grabbed a tightly sealed coffee mug. He unscrewed the cap and took a long sip from the warm contents. It wasn't actually coffee, which he hated, but a cup of blood from a fresh pack he had opened this morning and heated. While Osaze was wearing a red baseball cap to prevent too much of the sun from getting into his eyes, drinking a cup of blood a day gave him a lot more strength to not flinch away from the sunlight. He was also wearing loose, gray jeans, black ankle boots and a red and white striped, long sleeved shirt.

Even though it was after school and the sun was beginning to make its way over the horizon, this particular student was still in the school. She was rushing back to her English room, she had left behind her entire pencil case and jacket there too, she was such a space case sometimes!
With a gentle huff of annoyance of herself, she walked briskly along the corridors, hoping like hell there was a teacher still in there so it wasn't locked. However, at the thought of the teacher that would be in there, a light blush graced her cheeks, yeah, okay, she was dating Isley now but that didn't help her opinions on other people. Mr. Wolfe was gorgeous~ And he looked Egyptian or something which sparked her interest even more. Not that she would pursue anything, he was a teacher, she was a student, plus she had the gorgeous Isley~!
She blinked a few times, snapping herself out of that train of thought and before she realised it, she was at the door to the English room. She took a deep breath and gently knocked on the door, waited a few seconds and turned the door knob, realising it was open and her heart thumped in her chest, well, she knew he was in there. She opened the door a quarter of the way and poked her head in, "Do you mind if I come in, Mr?" She asked politely.

Osaze was between sipping from his coffee mark and marking one of the papers when he heard a soft knocking at his classroom door. Was it a students? He was sure he hadn't been sitting around there that long to run into a janitor. He smiled when he saw one of his young, female students poke her head inside the classroom. She seemed shy, he didn't want to scare her away by seeming too eager for company, so he spoke softly. "Only if you stop caling me 'Mr.,' it makes me feel old," said the ancient Egyptian as he swirled his red grading pen between his fingers.
He set aside his coffee mug and went by to grading another pop quiz. Unfortunately, the tenth graders didn't do as well as he had hoped they would. Most of them passed, but not as high as the marks as he would have liked. He was now grading one of his female student's papers, who he was sure was a female because of her bright yellow ink and, of course, because of her name, Faye Clement. Osaze hoped at least one person could pass with superb marks. He glanced back up to the girl curiously, he was starting to remember the names, but not so much the faces of his students, so he decided to take a shot in the dark. "Are you Faye Clement?"

A light giggle escaped her lips without her stopping it as he requested her to stop calling him 'Mr', it was something she was used to and was said out of force of habit but she would kindly stop, though, she was confused as to what she would call him... "..um, what should I call you instead?" She asked, keeping the polite tone in her voice. She opened the door more to step inside, it seemed warmer in there than it did outside in the corridor. She closed the door behind her and was about to move across the room when he asked yet another question.
He was bang on with getting her name right and it confused her, a similar expression played out on her face as she raised an eyebrow, nodding slowly. "Y-yes, I am... how did you know that?' She asked yet another question, curiosity replaced the polite tone she held before. She was now standing in the middle of the room, her blue eyes averting from the gorgeous teacher to scan the room for her jacket and pencil case... she was sure she had left it in here..

Osaze took a moment to think about the school rules applying to teacher and student relationships. Didn't he hear something about it preferred that teachers should keep a distance from students? Oh well, he couldn't go back now and it didn't seem like all that big of a deal anyway. He preferred it to be more personal. "Osaze, it sounds better than Mr. Wolfe, don't you think?" He replied as he finished grading the quiz on his desk.
He nodded when Faye confirmed that he had gotten her name right. "So I was right? It's a coincidence." He said and held up Faye's marked paper for her to see. "Congratulations, you didn't fail my quiz. You passed with one of the top scores, actually." He set the paper back into a pile of others, and then looked back to her. He was glad to have a smart, pretty, young student like her in his class... Not that she was any different than any of the other students in his classroom in his eyes. "So what brings you to my classroom after school? Not just to see my pretty face, I hope..? I'm flattered, but.." He said playfully.

"It does," Osaze... it had such a nice ring to it. She thought about saying it back to him, which she nearly did but she stopped herself, it would be weird to repeatedly say someone's name to them... She shrugged lightly to herself and continued to flicker her blue eyes over the room, she couldn't seem to find her pencil case anywhere... Hmm.
The feeling of embarrassment fell over her as Osaze held up her paper to him, written in yellow ink (it was a tad darker than she would have liked but it wouldn't have been able to be read if it wasn't darker) with an unusually high mark on it. She blinked in confusion, she hardly every did alright tests... "A-ah, that's weird... I must have fluked it," She laughed nervously.
His next statement made her heart flutter, he was just playing around but she knew he was gorgeous and she wished she could randomly come into his class just look at his beautiful face, listen to him talk.. But.. Isley! Isley, Isley, Isley...
"Actually... I did come in here to see if I left my pencil case and my jacket in here... I kind of need them, haha, have you seen them?" She was already wearing a jacket, since she had gotten changed out of her uniform before she realised she had forgotten these items. In fact, she was wearing a spaghetti strap dress that gathered up around the breast area with a band just under the bust, the rest of the dress flowing down and falling to just above her knees. It was covered in green, yellow and purple floral patterns all over it. On her feet were a pair of sandals that had a dark beige sole, they were similar to flip flips but they had a strap that went around her ankle to keep them on her feet properly.

Osaze smiled a little to himself as he straightened out the stack of graded papers on his desk. He assumed that Faye was probably being modest or had low confidence in herself. "Nonsense, unless you somehow cheated, then I doubt it was just a fluke. You earned it so you deserve it." You replied, hoping to boost the girl's confidence.
He looked up and stared at the young student as she mentioned her missing jacket and pencil. Wait a minute, wasn't she wearing a jacket right now? Perhaps it was some other jacket, but why would she need two jackets? It certainly wasn't that cold outside. "...The jacket you're looking for isn't the one you're wearing, correct?" He asked after a pause. "I haven't seen a jacket around here, but.." He stood up, and walked over to the bookshelf near the back of the class, and picked up a pencil case from one of the shelves. "I found this on the floor after everyone left. Is this the one you were looking for?"

Even as a space case and not as smart as the other students, Faye would never ever resort to cheating, she liked getting her grades fairly as much as they sometimes disappointed her. Maybe her guessing paid off? She shrugged it off, she should at least try to enjoy her success. "I suppose, thanks~" She said, a warm smile slipping onto the tenth grader's lips.
She blinked, having to glance down at the jacket she was wearing, she was pretty sure she didn't take this one with her to class today since she had gotten this from her wardrobe. She gently shook her head in reply. However, her eyes lit up brightly as Osaze brought down her pencil case from a shelf, she walked over to him, taking the yellow fluffy pencil case from his hands and hugged it, it had everything she needed for her homework tonight... that was due tomorrow, "Aaah~ thank you so much, I thought I had lost it or something..." Well, she was clueless enough to end up losing it somewhere... For a moment, she thought about hugging him to show her gratitude, but people only did that if they were friends... and girls... not teacher and student. Besides, wasn't that kind of.. forbidden? AH no. Isley, Isley, Isley, Isley...

Osaze smiled as he watched the young student hug her pencil case to her chest. It must be a beloved item for her to treat it that way. It was nice to see a student think so fondly of their school supplies, he was glad he found it before the janitor. Without a thought, he reached out and patted the girl's shoulder to somewhat comfort her. He was always the type to reach out and touch people when it wasn't neccesary. "No need to thank me, but you should try to be more careful. I heard the janitor, Lester, doesn't take the things he finds to the Missing and Found, but just keeps them for himself." He said and smiled. He knew he shouldn't spread rumors around about the janitor just for a laugh, but oh well.
After a moment, he slid his hand into his pockets and stepped back to lean against the bookcase. "Faye, was it? What sort of impression did I make on all of you students? What you say might affect your grade, you know." He said with a playful hint to his voice. He was really curious about it especially after the classes' sullen reaction to the onslaught of schooolwork he had given out. Perhaps he had been too stern...

When Osaze reached out and patted her on the shoulder, a light pink colour rose to her cheeks in a faint blush. She was used to other people touching her but that was students not teachers. Maybe he was just a lot friendlier than the other teachers? He certainly seemed like it, he was so talkative and carefree about the student/teacher relationship. Normally it would be small talk, lots of awkward silences and leave as soon as the opportunity rose. But, this time, it was different, Faye felt comfortable around him, like he was actually a student.
Then he mentioned the janitor. She only hugged her pencil case tighter, "I'm glad you did too," She replied, her voice sounding a little panicky. She was easily distracted from the panic when he asked her a question, one about the impression she had gotten from him during the class. She let out a soft 'hmm' as she thought about what she might say. Her eyes wandered around the room, as if looking for inspiration, "I think you did a wonderful job, really, but... students are just bored of being in school anyway.." She said her voice trailing off near the end, maybe Osaze thought he was too hard on them? "You weren't hard on us at all, people just don't like being told what to do or have to give up their own time to do things like that," She was one of them. Sometimes.

He quirked an eyebrow as Faye spoke and pushed himself forward to stand straight again. "That makes perfect sense." He said, yet inwardly he was still trying to grasp it. Students bored of school? Not liking being told what to do? But it was an education! Back in his day, there was no such thing as an education! Those ungrateful little-! He paused, pleasantly surprised when he realized that Faye had complimented him and told him that he wasn't hard on his students at all. What a nice girl she was... Now he knew he had one decent student.
"Thank you, Faye. You've eased my worries! I really didn't want the students to hate me after the first week." Osaze said, grinning. He reached out and gave the girl's head an affectionate tousle to show his gratitude and laughed at the new look he had created. "Do you like candy? I have lollipops and hard candies in my desk." He said, walked briskly over to his desk and pulled out a new bag of candy from his top desk drawer. He opened the bag and then offered it to Faye. "As my new favorite, go ahead and pick anything you like."

Faye blinked, stunned to hear such kind words come from the man's mouth and also offer her candy. A smile slipped onto her lips as she brought herself back from her stun. She reached into the bag of candy and pulled out a rainbow coloured lollipop which she slipped into her jacket pocket to save for later, she would probably have it after dinner or something.
She smiled warmly to Osaze, "Thank you~!" She said, her voice flooded with warmth and happiness. She kept her pencil case in her arms like she was holding some sort of stuffed animal, carrying it around like a child would. The fluffy material made her skin itch a little bit as she moved her arms every now and then, though.
"But... I should get going, so I can finish my homework and that," As much as she didn't actually want to leave right now... He was a warm character and he drew her in. Ah, Isley, Isley, Isley. She was with Isley. Osaze was a teacher...

Osaze nodded when Faye said that she should get going. He didn't want to hold her up and waste her valuable studying time, but he didn't didn't want to be alone either. Plus, he liked talking to Faye and getting to know his students. "I understand, I wouldn't want to keep you from your studies." He said and returned the bag of candy to his desk drawer.
When Faye smiled at him, Osaze knew that if his heart hadn't stopped beating a long while ago, it would have skipped a beat. She had a beautiful, smile and such smooth soft looking, fair skin. His fangs began to tingle. He wondered what she would taste like, and what sort of sounds she would make after he pierced her skin with his fangs. It was rare to find a woman who liked that sort of thing, unfortunately.
Osaze immediately stopped his train of thought, and shut away those thoughts. What was he thinking? She was a student and a minor, no less! He couldn't very well seduce such an innocent, young girl to sate his own selfish desires! ...Could he? No, just no.. But she smelled really nice and sweet.. Could he be any more unprofessional right now?
"If you need help with your English homework, feel free," he said and grinned.

Faye felt a tad uncomfortable as he gazed at her with a look in his eyes that she was something to eat but she blinked and the glint in his eye was gone. Maybe she was just imagining things. Yeah, she was. She clutched her pencil case a little tighter without knowing it, she must have looked very awkward.
"Um, actually, I think I do need a bit of help, just with doing reviews and how to set them out, I guess," Why did she just say that? The look he had given her freaked her out a bit and now she was hinting that she wanted to stay with him a little bit longer? Was he that charismatic? She shook herself from the thoughts. Osaze was a responsible, kind, caring and sweet teacher, she should stop thinking such weird thoughts about him. She forced herself to relax and brought a warm smile across her pink lips.

He didn't consider himself an expert at reading body language, but he could tell by the way the young student held herself that she was perhaps just a bit tense or nervous? Could it have been something he said? Maybe she was just the shy type or that was just a very treasured pencil case.
He pushed his chair in and hmm'd when Faye mentioned that she could use some help with homework. "I'd love to help you, Faye, but.."
Osaze was aware of the sort of students this school carried. If she had just read his mind, then he was well on his way to a sexual harrassment scandal. But then again, she hadn't run out of the room screaming, so he was in the clear just for the moment. He knew he couldn't make up some excuse and tell her that he was busy right after he had offered her his help. Osaze hated lying anyway, and he wasn't about to lie to such a sweet girl. He'd have to control himself. He'd consider this a test on his willpower!
"The janitor's coming around soon, and he creeps me out." He said jokingly and ran a hand through his already messy hair. It was completely true, however, that he, a modern day, ancient old vampire creeped was out by a school janitor. "Maybe we could meet somewhere else?" He suggested and looked to Faye sheepishly.
