Current Age: 13
Western Zodiac: Capricorn
Place of Birth: New Hope, Di-Kioen
Nationality: Di-Kioen
APPEARANCE DETAILS
Appearance: The Stranger's hair has turned a stark white, despite his young age. Although he has never dyed his hair, he doubts that his once black hair faded due to natural reasons. His hair is short in the back, but he lets his bangs grow out. He ussually combs his hair over his right eye, but this ussually gets messed up as soon as he starts moving. His eyes have also grayed for the same unknown reason. Like most people on Di-Kioen, Strange's skin is naturally a light mocha color. He has an athletic build. He's always been tall and thin for his age, and so even a little of exercise showed results. His new lifestyle has made him strong and fit, despite his young age. He's still a growing boy though, and is far from being fully matured physically.
Clothing Style: Strange's sense of style is a bit... strange. He only likes to wear either all white, all black, or any combination of those two. Including pinstripes. Though in recent years he has worn clothes in that fashion with accents of red, blue, and now gold. He usually wears a tie, suspenders and a belt, too. He also doesn't like shorts. The uniform of the institute suited his tastes, and was one of the factors that led to his decision to going there. He also likes fedoras, and top hats. Aside from the formal attire he likes to wear, he also likes a style of pants called 'Tripp' pants. These are wide, baggy pants with straps and chains that decorate them. He usually wears them with suspenders that match the colored straps on the pants and a dress shirt that matches the base color of the pants.
Special Accessories:Aside from his many different suspenders and hats, he also usually will be seen wearing hand wraps. Similar to what a boxer uses. He also has a long white lab coat that is a bit too large for him. He stole it from the facility where he was being treated before he left home. It's important to him, because it represents his promise and the only part of him that is willing to remember what happened.
PERSONALLY
Over-all Personality: The Stranger believes in, chivalry, justice, and morality, but he doesn't go out of his way to force those things on others. He practices them himself, as such he cannot ignore a cry for help, but he does not actively seek out villains to stop their evil plans and what not. Strange's mission in life seems to be just having fun, but this is a front he is putting up to deceive himself. He laughs and jokes all the time, but the truth is he hasn't been truly happy for a long time. In his past he was faced with great adversity, and despite all his gifts he choose to run away. He was young at the time. He is still young. He didn't want to devote his whole life towards fighting this crusade, even though he knew it would be the right thing to do and that he owed it to those who weren't as fortunate as him.
It was selfish, but he choose to live his life, instead of fighting for those who had lost theirs. He justifies this to himself by saying that he is living the life that he was lucky enough to receive, and to waste it would be disrespectful to those who weren't as lucky. This holds some truth to it, but it doesn't change the fact that he left behind all his friends, his family, and everything he knew to avoid this fight. He doesn't want to burden people with his problems, and he doesn't want to face them himself. So he hides behind a fake smile. He has a very open mind and is always aspiring towards a his own noble ideals, while struggling to deal with that choice he made long ago.
He can be prideful at times, and spiteful. He holds a grudge easily, even if he doesn't let it show right away. He's generous and selfless, but can be self righteous at times. He hates losing and is a bit childish. Part of why he trains so hard is because he wants, or rather needs a reason to not hate himself. Through his training he has developed his confidence and pride, but because he's actually prone to depression and has his past hanging over his head, he rarely gets too arrogant.
Likes:

Dislikes:
Hurting others
Being Stuck
Losing
Fears:
What he dreads the most is seeing himself as a coward. He forces himself to smile every day to avoid thinking about what he did in the past, and for the most part has put that behind himself already. What he fears most is doing something like that again that would make him feel all those bad feelings like new again.
He also fears causing innocents to suffer, or that they would suffer because of him. For some reason he doesn't have any problems making those, he feels deserve it, suffer.
Habits:
He forces himself to smile, because he doesn't want to be a burden to others.
He likes gliding through the air, and climbing to high places for some reason.
Sense of Humor:
His sense of humor is strange. It varies by his mood, but he is always focused on trying to make himself happy though he has yet to find true happiness.
Goals: Get stronger. It's too painful to think any farther ahead than that.

BACKGROUND
History:
Di-Kioen is a small island country in the south pacific. The country has been able to stay under the radar of the more influential super powers of the world, mainly due to the fact that it has little value to them. It never offered any kind of strategic launching point, and is not particularly rich of any certain resource. As such, in all it's history, it has never been conquered, invaded, or colonized. The Island once had a rich culture, unique to it's own, but when boats began to cross seas, it became heavily influenced by European explorers and settlers. Although it has never been officially colonized, there is a large gap between between the main cities of modern day Di-Kioen and it's more rural areas due to this influence. It is almost like there are two different worlds on Di-kioen.
The town of New Hope was founded as the beginning to what might have been a European colony on Di-Kioen, but it was shortly abandoned after it became evident that the island held little real value and that the intended colony wouldn't be cost effective for the crown. Though a few remained and continued their lives, control of the town was officially turned over to the inhabitants of the island. Although unofficially it is rumored that foreign powers still hold influence.
Kenji Ausamatu was born on a small Island in the South Pacific area, named Di-Kioen. It's a small island, not even on the map, but it was a good home. His mother and father were not scientists, or magicians, they were not royalty, but they were amazing. His father worked full time, almost 24/7. Kenji's mother held two jobs and took care of the house work. They instilled into him the noble ideals that he lives his life by. Kenji was not born with his powers, naturally. During his early childhood he was raised as a normal, if not a tad bit too serious, young boy. His parents worked hard to give him a comfortable life and taught him the importance of hard work. Another contributing factor to how the child developed into such a serious young lad, was the significant military presence in the small town he grew up in.
In the small rural town where Kenji grew up in, there was a rather large military base and research facility. They claimed to be a division of the offical Di-Kioen military, from the city. No one asked many questions. They didn't bother the townspeople much, everyone just got used to the presence of soldiers in the town. Every now and then you'd see a truck transporting troops, and if you were lucky you'd even see a tank roll by. The research facility was heavily guarded, and no one in town really knew what they were doing in there. The only clue was a public statement the scientist made in 1999. They claimed to be doing a test with a mock virus, to see how the island's winds and climate would spread it. Studying this would help develop ways of containing any future attacks. They claimed it wouldn't have any ill effects, and that it would only show up with their tracking equipment. No one asked much questions about it. No one ever asked many questions. The scientists seemed to know what they were doing. For the most part nothing happened. For years nothing at all seemed to go wrong. Most of the townspeople just continued to go on with their lives. They had to do some surveys, got a free checkup and for the rest of their lives never again dealt with the research facility, but the doctors kept showing up at the Ausamatu residence and certain other residences. It was only till later did Kenji discover why. He first began to notice his powers when he was around eight or so. He noticed that when ever he was serious about it, he'd be stronger and faster than the others his age. It was only a slight lead at first, but gradually a gap began to develop between him and his peers and he even began surpassing older kids. It was around when he was ten that he realized he could move things, just by 'willing' to, but only if he was already touching them. It was around this time that his hair and eyes also began to gray. He still wasn't sure if it was his mind playing tricks on him, so he mainly kept to himself about it. His parents were at work most of the time, and he had already gotten used to dealing with things on his own and keeping things to himself, and even though he didn't tell the doctors about it, they still came to check up on him.
As Kenji grew older he developed his power and slowly it became what it is today. He began to question where his powers had come from and also why the doctors kept coming back. What exactly did their lab results show them that was so interesting? Did they know about his power? There were only two things in his life that didn't make sense, that weren't 'normal'. It was simple for even a child to figure out that there was a connection between them. When Kenji reached his rebellious teen years, he decided to do something about it. During one of his routine monthly checkups at the research facility, he snuck out of the room he was waiting for his doctor in. He went down one hallway, then another. Through a door. He felt like a spy, like James Bond, a real cool guy. He was not prepared for what he found. He found what looked to him like a typical file cabinet, like the one you'd see in an old detective movie. After forcing the lock to open, he looked through the files in it, trying to find something pertaining to him. He took a few of them and went to hide in a closet as he looked through it. He figured that by then they would be looking for him.
After halfway reading a few files he found one marked Project 999. He decided it was worth a look. What he read there changed him forever. Written in the file was a report on the effects of the gas they released. The cover story was that it was a mock virus that would have no ill effects, but the reality was that year 76% of all child births and pregnancies in the town failed or resulted in deaths of the child. According to the file, this was a suspected result the scientists believed the gas would the cause. 'Most would not be strong enough to survive the changes,' he read. In the cases of successful childbirth, many developed illnesses and died soon after and some rare cases died in later years. Those who had survived had been gathered at a local school, in a single class for monitoring. The reason the doctors kept checking up on him, the reason they thought he was special was not because of his power, but simply because he survived. He realized that the reason that most of his friends from school were sickly, and all the ones that he had to say good bye to, forever, the reason for all of it was this experiment of 1999. He also read one final line that broke his trust in the adults in white coats he had grown up around. 'Those who drew up suspicions or connections with the child birth deficiencies and Project 999, have been successfully silenced.'
Kenji became confused and frightened. He knew from the beginning that the doctors would be mad he wandered off, but now as he listened to the boots of the security stomping up and down the halls, he was truly afraid. He forced open a door, then another, and then a window. He jumped over a barbed wire fence. He was outside, but where could he go with this new knowledge? This knowledge that all the hardships his classmates had suffered, all those lost lives, all of it was caused by the people he trusted and respected. He went to the local church, and the graveyard behind it. He only knew her for short time. He never thought to call it a first love, but a kid that age doesn't think of love. You couldn't really say he even knew her. He admired her from afar, but he didn't really know her. She was quiet, reserved and polite. So easy to not notice in class, but Kenji had. He never said anything though, nothing that mattered. Then everyone noticed her, when the teacher gave the sad news. She had suffered from a chronic illness since birth, but now she wasn't suffering.
Standing in front of her grave, as the soul person who knew who was responsible for this, Kenji wondered why he was gifted with his odd power, and why she only got an early grave. He wondered if he might die soon as well. He wondered how many others were born with his gift. How many were born with hers. He wondered a great many deal of things. Most importantly he wondered what she meant that one time.
Out of nowhere, she had once said to him 'You're way too serious,' with a chuckle. He didn't know what to make of it then, or even now. They weren't in the middle of a conversation, he hadn't done anything particularly out of the ordinary. One day, while sitting in class she just turned to him and said it. He didn't know what to say to that, so he just looked to her silently, which made her feel awkward. Seeing that made him feel awkward, but thankfully class started and that was that.
He began to wonder about other things. About the people who did this, what he knew about them now. What he thought he knew about them. He thought he had gotten friendly, comfortable, with his doctor and even some of the security guards. Now he realized that they and he and everyone he really knew were nothing more than perfect strangers. He decided to run away, not feeling safe in the town anymore. He felt so useless, helpless. He couldn't fight the military. He couldn't free the town, or enlighten everyone. Not with out endangering them. He worried for his parent's sake as well. They might already be in danger. The best thing, he decided, was to leave them with a silly note that only read 'Please, don't try to find me,'.
He stared at her grave intently. Trying to think of what to say. 'too serious?' What could he say to that? The wind blew hard against his face, so hard, he had to turn away and shudder from the cold. He clutched the lab coat he was wearing closed. He couldn't help but think of those who did this to her. He had taken the coat simply because he knew it was cold in this season and that he couldn't get to where had left his jacket, but now he realized that it reminded him of all the things he couldn't bare to think about anymore. He took it off, but couldn't bring himself to throw it away. He turned back to the grave one last time.
“I promise, I'll make them pay for what happened to you... to you and all the others,” he said before turning away and slipping the coat back on.
And so The Stranger set off, wandering alone in the world. He struggled to scrape by at first, but he always managed to survive the night. Having his power didn't hurt either. Breaking and entering helped him through some tough times, but he tried to live up to the noble ideals he had been raised on and make it with out resorting to crime or begging. He learned to make a living doing some odd jobs, using his powers to help. Using his powers and his own body as his main form of transportation had made him strong and fit. It was easier to lie about his age. He was also lucky to be born tall for his age. Claiming to just be the opposite, short for his age, and by acting as maturely as possible, he was able to find work here and there. More often than not, only where they didn't care about his age.
He performed on street corners, and saved up every penny he earned. On bad nights he'd treat himself to a hotel room, where he could take a shower and sleep in a warm bed. Eventually he became adept at being a vagabond. He stowed away a few times, getting here and there. He traveled Europe, where he stayed in France for a long time. He camps out mostly in remote areas and stays in hotel rooms where he'd get pestered for camping. He tries his best to live the happy life that many others didn't get a chance for. He convinced himself that he owes at least that much to those who died, since he couldn't avenge them or even bring the truth to light. He also swore that one day he'd come back one day. One day when he was strong.
He learned of The T'zenshin Institute at the age of 13 while working one of his shadier jobs as a courier for a 'don't ask what's inside the package' dealer. He decided that it would be the best place get that strength he secretly wants and decided that with his life savings he should try to enroll.
Secrets: None because, jokes aren't appreciated here.
If he feels the institute is useless, he plans to steal his money back. 'It's mine anyway'.
Despite the fact that he's always seemingly just trying to have fun, he secretly desperately wants to become strong enough to change the world.
Gift: [Momentum Manipulation] - Strange is gifted with the ability that he doesn't quite understand. He calls it Momentum Manipulation, but he doesn't quite know/understand the exact definition of 'momentum' or if it applies to this situation. Regardless, what he can do is manipulate the amount of force that an object is being moved with, including his own body. He does this by simply willing it, but he has to be touching the object to use his power. It also takes a great deal of will power and concentration to create momentum where there is none, although he is capable of it. It's much easier to amplify or reduce momentum that is already existing.
[Strange Uses] These are the most common ways that Strange utilizes his powers.
Strange Strike - This is what Strange calls it when he puts more force behind his punches, kicks, etc. Strange's power does not increase the endurance of his arms, legs or fist or anything, so putting too much force behind his attacks can potentially cause serious problems from him. Generally, his body can handle the amount of force he can generate in the heat of the moment for each swing.
Strange Shield - This is when he reduces the force of enemy attacks he blocks. Because of the short amount of time Strange usually is not in contact with his enemies, he can only use his power in the instant he is hit to reduce force as it hits him. So the amount he can reduce is generally very little.
Strange Shock - This is what Strange calls it when he uses his power on the floor to attack. Ideally he should be able to make parts of the floor shoot up at his enemy, but it is difficult to launch parts of a large object and so he's not capable of that yet. He can make shock waves and break up the floor, originating from where he is standing and from there he can disrupt the floor around that.
Strange Step - This is the term The Stranger uses to describe when he uses his power to jump farther, run faster, and other similar things that have to do with movement. It's pretty basic, but like his attacks, using too much force can create problems. Even if he can jump over a building, he still has to land. Changing directions in air involves creating momentum where there is none, enough to negate or alter natural momentum. It also has to be done rather quickly, to be useful. As such it is one of the harder Strange Steps to use and is not quite perfected yet. Ideally he can use his power to fly, but is not comfortable doing with his performance with this trick to use it unless in a really tough situation. As of now he can float and glide to a degree.
Strange Shot - This is when Stranger uses his power to launch things at a target. Doing such requires a a lot of concentration, but less so if he combines his power with a normal throw.
[Ability] Hard Work - Despite his power, The Strange relies on his body heavily. He is constantly working to better himself, through training and practice. This is known as the ability of hard work. He has never had the good fortune of having a proper master and could never stand the feel of classes. This is why his methods are mostly self taught. Even at his young age he already has a very developed fighting style, but it's not just his fighting that he trains, he practices l'art du déplacement (the art of movement), which is commonly referred to as Parkour. He feels that this helps compliment his power, and that it's important to not be dependent on his power. It is easier to generate momentum with his power, when he understands how it is naturally generated.
