During these colder months, the want to get out of your nice warm bed decreased greatly. Just outside on the leafless trees frost had formed on their branches, making them appear to be crystalized. The T'zenshin Institute was open and welcoming in all the ready students for a day of education. For most seventh graders, it was science for them first, with Kayami Rikae, a newish teacher who had just been offered a permanent residence at the school as an all around science teacher for all grades until more came along.
Kayami was in her laboratory at the time, she was over by the benches that were beside the window. A box of antibacterial wipes sat neatly beside her as she took one out to clean up a small stain from an experiment prior to that day. The room smelled a lot like a hospital, sterile, it gave off a feeling of uneasiness since it was so clean, you would feel like you couldn't drop anything anywhere at anytime without some kind of scoulding. However, Kayami didn't do that, she just frantically tried to clean it up.
Also next to the science teacher was a green coloured frog, it's skin glistening in the dull sun light that was peeping through the clouds in the sky. It was a red eyed tree frog, which is coloured green on the top and a yellow cream colour underneath, although on the sides there are bright royal blue and bright yellow stripes to make it stand out. It's feet are a bold orange. The frog croaked as he watched Kayami clean the bench before he leapt up onto her shoulder, the two had become quite good friends and Kayami didn't mind having him out of his box thing that he was kept in.
The cleaning finally stopped as it was now up to Kayami's standards and she picked up the box of wipes and sat down at her desk as she awaited her students to come into class with her frog on her shoulder.

Aidefgen wasn't very good at sleeping when she was supposed to, so her body was still a bit sluggish as she traveled to her class. On the way, she had dressed rather warmly. Her winter uniform was totally covered by her huge jacket. She looked at her schedule and read the name of her class and the teacher beside it. She wasn't sure of the schedule yet, so she had to constantly look at it.
She made her way to the classroom and looked around. She had arrived a bit early. She wondered were everyone else was and began to look around nervously. She was the second one there and didn't like it. She turned to the other student with a frog on her shoulder and then sat down on a chair. Then, she placed her face on the table and was beginning her process of going to sleep again. Nothing in her head clicked when she saw the frog. Her brain was still trying to cope with the tired state she was in.

The first real day of classes... The previous week had been filled with the arrival of students to the island and getting into the school. The fourth and fifth days had been for the students to give their syllabus and for students to shop over the weekend for their various supplies.
The boy had done his shopping on Sunday and carried his new supplies in the backpack that was worn on his back. He had been surprised at how cold it was on T'zen Island, especially when he'd lived up in London, where it got quite cold in the winter. His winter uniform was snug against his thin form and worn underneath a large black cloak that his mother insisted he brought from home. He was glad she'd done so since he was freezing. His honey locks hung around his face, the top tucked under a black hat to keep his ears warm.
Henri De la Fontaine entered the classroom after a couple of others. The room was starting to fill up with seventh graders and he took a scan over the room to find a suitable table to sit at. Because it was a science room, instead of desks, there were tables that were made to seat two to a table. He was surprised at how many students could fit in one room, though he was sure it wasn't any more than forty students in the room, seating themselves at the twenty-five or so tables in the room.
He spotted a familiar face among the crowd and walked over, offering a polite smile down at the sitting girl, which was the only occasion that he was able to look down at her since she was taller than him when she stood.
Once he was confident that he had her name in his mind, he opened his mouth and spoke, his young voice soft and sweet. "Miss Aalyshah... Is this seat next to you taken?" He looked at her curiously, his hand resting on the back of the chair in question. He knew the art of charming, even if could be quite the rambunctious troublemaker at times.

A smile slipped onto the teacher's lips as she saw all the students start to pile in after the first students that were there a little earlier than the rest. The main subject that she could hear through the many students talking was what they had done over the first week of school which technically wasn't school as the students were required to purchase their supplies and get ready for this week. Kayami blinked at how many students were actually coming into her room, there were.. so many people. This was meant for gifted students, there were that many people here?
Then again, the word 'gifted' tended to vary through person to person.
Living in Hokkaido for around eighty-percent of her life and in the most northern part, she didn't feel the cold breeze that followed the students walked in. Well she did, but not as much as them. She could tell that they were cold, with their big overcoats and beanies on their heads to keep themselves warm. With a smile she leaned back a little in her seat and switched the heaters on to warm up the room a little bit. There would be no experiments on today so warming the room temperature a little wouldn't do any harm.
After around two minutes, students stopped coming in through the door and Kayami saw fit to stand from her desk that was situated at the front of the class. It wasn't really her 'desk' but more of her workplace. Her actual desk was in the science department staff room where the science teachers would hold meetings and other things in there to discuss things that would not be relevant to other subject teachers. Kayami walked at a steady pace over to the door and closed it, to keep the warm air in and went back to the bench she was sitting at before. "If you could all quiet down for the moment, we can get started," She said, her voice a little louder than the students so they could hear her. Also once her sentence had finished, the frog on her shoulder croaked rather loudly. This only made Kayami's grin on her face broaden.

Aalyshah had just managed to fall asleep when she was interrupted by someone. She opened her eyes and looked at Henri. He was smiling at her. That fact made her smile back at him. She straightened up her posture and nodded towards him. Then she said in a friendly voice, "Of course not...um...Henri de la something. So...it would be really nice of you to sit next to me."
Her hand patted on the seat that was next to her. She had been thinking of Henri for the past day and some hours. She thought it would be nice to be with him again even for a short amount of time. He was the person she talked to more than anyone else at the school and she liked him for teaching her a little how to play the piano. A small yawn escaped her mouth as she got her supplies for the class ready in front of her.
When the teacher asked everyone to be silent, she turned her focus on the teacher and giggled when the frog croaked. She never saw a frog before coming to this school. It was an interesting experience for her. Some people didn't like them, but she didn't see how they could harm her. There were many things more dangerous than frogs.

"Just Henri is fine..." The boy said as he let his backpack fall to the floor next to his chair. He sat down and pulled the chair in, bringing his elbows to rest on the table as he brought a hand up to run his fingers through his rich, honey locks.
He took out a notebook and a pencil to take notes with, if needed. He opened the notebook to the first blank page and set his pencil in the crease between the front cover and the first page. His dark eyes rose to face the front of the room. He raised an eyebrow as he heard the croak of a frog. It was the oddest sound he'd heard and let out a small, amused laugh along with a smile.
He could tell he would enjoy science this year.

Pleased with all of the students reactions to her frog croaking, she turned to the board that was situated behind her. She grabbed a green white board marker and wrote her name up on the board (in English of course, she was about to write it in Japanese, though). Miss Rikae was written in the middle of the board, "I'm Miss Rikae and I will be your science teacher this year~" She said cheerfully, she was truly looking forward to teaching this year. A bunch of brand new students that she could get to know.
The frog remained on her shoulder and its red eyes scanned the classroom, looking at all the students in there. He croaked once more, but more quietly this time.
"I think I might start with the roll, just so I can get to know a few of your names, if you could raise your hand when you answer that would be great, I also apologise if I mispronouce them," She smiled at her class of seventh graders and pulled out a blue roll book where she opened it to the appropriate class list. She withdrew a blue pen from her drawer beside her and placed it beside the first name.
[Skipping...]
Once the roll was completed she closed the book and pushed it aside, she would now explain the course of seventh grade science to her class. "You can write this down if you wish but you don't have to," She said, knowing that some may want to know what they will be looking at while learning. "In this class you will be covering a wide range of aspects of the science world, including Life sciences, Earth, Physical etcetera..."
