Evelyn Akina, who should be at school getting settled in, was spending her time at the park instead. She wasn't really interested in spending time with all of the people who would just ignore her anyway, going off with the friends that they already had. Nah. If she was going to be ignored, then why even go to that place when it wasn't even necessary right now?
She was laying on the ground, her feet almost at the edge of the lpond. She was staring at the sky, trying to create pictures in the sky to get her mind off of what this school year would be like: long and lonely. There was no Jizabel...and if she remembered correctly (which she might not be), Jizabel helped her a lot in her first year...but now he wasn't here to make sure that she was okay.
Forcing herself to sit upright, Evelyn let out a sigh. She was dressed in her long brown skirt, with brown ankle boots and her green collared shirt on as always, though she also had a brown messenger bag slung over her shoulder which had her cell phone, money, and other important stuff.Looking over at the ground, she spotted a rock and went over to pick it up.
I wonder...how long I can... she thought, softly tossing the rock on the water. And it didn't do what she intended it to do, rather, it hit the water twice before sinking to the bottom. Darn. She just wasn't as good at this as Jizabel was, huh...?
"Oh well..." she sighed again, wrapping her arms around her legs and resting her head on her knees. She was bored and lonely...maybe she could text Jizabel to see how he was doing? But she didn't want to bother him...

Today would be Felicity Blanc's first day at the T'zenshin Institue- and she was overwhelmed by the sight of it. So overwhelmed, she really didn't want to unpack in her new dorm- oh, no- she wanted to see what was to be seen on this island. She's never been on an actual island- she's never even been on a sort of vacation because her parents never had the time for it. So, it was an adventure for her. An adventure she wanted to experience.
Besides, unpacking would take too long. She always took forever to unpack.
A bag with an owl design on it was slung over her shoulder as she looked over the park, taking in every little detail she saw. The trees, the landscape-tiny details she'd take pleasure in looking at tonight while she unpacked. Then, she caught glimpse of a lake- though she didn't see the girl- the lake was something new.
In Nantes, there is a river that ran through the city and into the ocean- so she wasn't a stranger of water. But.. The lake was so big! Rather, the lake was so..Wide. Her river wasn't wide at all, but it was long. It was quite long. It went on for miles- the width wasn't even a fraction compared to how long it was. The lake seemed.. Evened out, sort of. It was wide- but it was just about as wide as it was long. Different. She stared at it for a little bit, quickly running her fingers through her hair. Interesting. Most definitely-interesting. What startled her was the splash she heard in the lake. Was it a fish? Blinking, she tilted her head to the side as she listened for another splash, when she didn't hear another one- she wandered closer to the lake.
Was it a fish? The possibilities were low, because wouldn't she hear more fish? Not necessarily, she concluded. Seeing the girl, finally, she considered asking her. Maybe she was..Hearing things. That shouldn't be, she took her medicine as soon as she got in the dorm! "Uhm.." She started, trying not to meet the girl's gaze. "Did..Did you hear that splash?" she asked sheepishly, embarrassed to even ask someone that. It was a real dumb thing to ask someone she didn't even know.

Evelyn nearly jumped when she heard someone's voice, and she looked up at the older looking girl. She was not expecting that, and it took her off guard. Someone just randomly walking up to her and asking a question...
"Ah...well...um.." she started to speak, a little intimidated by whoever this was. Though, the smile that this girl had and her tone of voice made Evelyn less afraid to talk. "It was me...I was...trying to skip rocks..." she said, managing a small, but slightly embarrassed smile. Why was she embarrassed? Well, that was just who she was. "Did it bother you? I apologize if it did..."

Blinking, Felicity gave an embarrassed smile as well, touching her cheek with her hand lightly. "Oh, okay, that's good." she said quickly- her words almost meshing together.
Tilting her head to the side a little, she had to wonder why this girl was apologizing. Why would a splash bother her? Normally, she'd bring this up- but.. The younger girl didn't seem like someone she wanted to be mean to. "Oh, no, please don't be sorry. I just thought...It was a fish, or something.. Or I was just hearing things.. Ah..Hahahah.." a nervous laugh escaped at the end of her statement, her hand quickly covering her mouth.
"It didn't bother me." she said slowly, unsure what to really do now. She..Couldn't just walk away. That would be annoying- for someone to ask you a dumb question and just walk away. Annoying..Or just dumbfounding. Maybe both, Felicity didn't know. "My name is..Felicity. Felicity Blanc. What's your's?" she asked, blurting out the only thing she knew to say when meeting someone new. Childish, sure, but when was the last time she was around other people close to her age? That's right- not until kindergarten. So it wasn't really her fault.

"I'm Evelyn Akina. It's nice to meet you, Miss Felicity." Evelyn replied, offering Felicity a small smile. Already, Evelyn had a good opinion of this girl. She didn't really seem to be rude or mean, and though first impressions weren't everything...Evelyn tended to judge on them. After all, she'd rather be safe than be sorry.
Evelyn looked back over at the pond, thinking of what to say. She didn't want to seem...rude or anything, and talking to Felicity would pass the time...and she wouldn't be lonely and have that desire to text Jizabel and talk to him.
So, she decided to ask her the first question that came to her mind.
"S...so, why are you out here? Are you looking around the island?" Evelyn asked, wondering if this girl was new or not. She might be, she might not be. But there was one thing that she really seemed to be right about, this girl was older than her. Not like that mattered. Evelyn would be willing to keep up entire conversations with teachers for goodness' sake!
