The T'zen Island Museum: a collection of art and artifacts, with archeological finds in the nearby ground, artistic creations from those on the island, and even a room set aside to inform visitors about the history of the island. It was nice for those who visited, which consisted of local artists of all sorts, newcomers to the island, and kids who wanted to avoid school.
It would be the third category in which the boy was in as he sat on one of the small cushioned benches in the main gallery room, staring at one painting on the wall intently, as if he was waiting for it to give him all of its secrets. It was still before classes were in session, so he was taking a break from sitting in an empty office, waiting for people to show up and ask him about the SFF. Going to the museum, which he hadn't been to since his first year on the island, was a much better alternative.

Museum's intrigued young Faye quite a bit and she had found out that T'zenshin had one so she decided that today, since there was no school, that she would go and have a look at all the pieces that they might have there. As she walked, her left earphone for her iPod jiggled around as it was not in her ear, her right one was, however, playing quiet music that she had previously downloaded off the internet back home. "Hmm~" Faye thought out loud to herself, walking into the museum through it's large glass doors.
Slowly, she walked through the main entrance and into the first category where she carefully went to each display and stared at them in awe, they were all so cool! Around fifteen minutes passed before she found herself in the second category, there was no one else in the museum, well... it seemed like it anyway, it was pretty deserted at the moment. Which was perfect~! Silence was grand when she was in a place like this.
Some of the historical displays kind of scared her, such as the exhibits about dinosaurs and all of that stuff. "Creepy things..." She said under her breath as she moved onto the next category. It didn't take her long to stumble across another person in the museum, a boy, who was clearly older than her and staring intently at a painting. She shifted across the carpet and sat on the other side of the cushioned bench, looking at the painting he was to see what was so interesting about it. "Oohh.... It's cool, eh?" She said, obviously talking to the boy.

Kyerin blinked slowly, realizing that a voice was talking to him. He reached up, adjusting the glasses on his nose since they had begun to slip down to fall off. He slowly glanced to the side, looking at the figure next to him, a girl who appeared to be younger... and a quick check on the mental level told him that she was curious at what he was looking at, and wasn't trying to hide anything from him, so she was younger and human. It may seem like something weird to look for, but after having spent a year at the academy, he wasn't doubting things like that.
"Yes, it is," he murmured, glancing back at the painting in front of him for a moment, just staring at the colors and patterns on the canvas, before speaking again, still looking at the design before them. "I don't think that I've seen you here before... is this your first year at T'zenshin?" There was really no other reason for her to be here; none of the people on the island had a family, so all underage people would be either members of the academy, or just incredibly lost.

Faye smiled when he agreed with her, pleased to see that he wasn't just staring at it because he didn't like it or hand nothing else to do. The canvas was completely covered in all sorts of colours and patterns that inspired the girl to perhaps make something like that in her Art class at the academy. "Oh um..." She started, his question catching her off guard as she was in a slight trance from the canvas painting. "Yeah.. It is, how long have you been here?"
She was sure she had seen him around the school a few times, he always seemed to have this arm band on that had the letteres SFF sewed onto it. The school was full of constant talk about the SFF and the Student Council but she hadn't exactly had much to do with it, no one had explained or even elaborated on the subject. "What is that?" She gestured to the band on his arm that had those letters on it... She wondered if he had some ties towards the SFF and the Student Council feud. Maybe he could lighten things up for her?

Kyerin sighed a bit as he stared at the painting, considering that he was pretty terrible at artistic endeavors. The only reason he was in the art class at school was because he had to have an elective, and in it, he could at least pull off portraits and still life paintings. Anything beyond that, he had strong competition against five year olds. It was pretty shameful... so he just avoided those types of situations.
At her question, the boy nodded lightly, smiling a little bit at the inquiry. "This is my fourth year... but I haven't been here in a few years, so I thought that I would come down here," he said, trying to think of if he had seen the girl; no one had come in to the SFF office since he had gotten there, so unless it was in passing, no, they hadn't met.
However, he had to look down at his arm when she asked about something, realizing that, since he had just left straight from the office, locking it behind him, he still had his SFF armband on. "That's my symbol as the technical leader of the SFF... despite that we really don't have a leader. It's mainly to make things easier when we first made the SFF."

Wow, he had been there for a long time! Faye blinked, wondering why he was in this particular academy, everyone was special in their own little way so there was definitely something different about him that seperated him from the rest of the human race... He looked pretty normal. Judging by how old he looked, Faye considered him being there since at least seventh grade... Wow, that's a long time.. Sometimes she wished that her parents had found this place sooner.
"SFF, huh.." She still didn't quite get the feud between them or even what the SFF stood for! Not that anyone even said the real thing out loud... it was always SFF this and SFF that.. "What does SFF mean?" Most people would feel stupid for asking that, and she did... kind of. She really needed to start paying more attention to what was going on in her surroundings instead of focusing on more distracting things like that butterfly outside the large window off in the distance.
Ohh... it was pretty! Her eyes had averted from the boy and outside... If he started speaking, it may send her back to what she was on about before. Maybe.

Still, Kyerin was a bit disappointed, feeling a bit cheated by a year, considering that he first participated in the eighth year, and it was a whole different experience, more mature and free, considering that they did have classes to go to, but besides that, it was open to whatever they wanted to do. It was too bad he would only get five years, with his fourth starting, instead of the full six.
At her question, he couldn't help chuckling a bit; he was glad that she asked, considering that most people got the idea that the SFF was like terrorists and anarchists (though a few members were). "Well, the SFF is-" he started, turning to face her before seeing that she wasn't paying attention. He followed her gaze out to a window, to where a butterfly had fluttered onto a flower. Well, that was odd... what was a butterfly doing here in January?

Faye's attention was still on the unusual butterfly as the boy had stopped talking and had also turned his attention to the fluttering beauty outside. Once it had landed in the small patch of flowers, Faye could no longer see the butterfly so her attention was brought back.
She blinked. "Huh wah?" She said, sounding rather confused as Kyerin was also looking out the window. "What were you saying?"

Hearing the girl's voice again, Kyerin glanced back at her, guessing that the distraction- the flittering little creature that was merely resting on a flower- must be out of her sight. Well, now they could resume their conversation, which was... oh yes, the SFF; the distraction had made even him lose track of what had been going on.
He cleared his throat, trying to scavenge the little speech he had prepared that the insect ruined. "Well, the SFF stands for Student Freedom Force. We're basically proponents of students having equality, since the faculty doesn't place serious rules on us. It's noble, but we also get some bad reputation considering that things have been... chaotic the last few years. The Student Council thinks that they have the self given authority to tell people what to do, so we tend to be at odds with them and things can be... disastrous, at times."

Student Freedom Force, huh? Seemed complicated. She had no idea that the Student Council had that power, nor was she aware of such a fued happening between two groups. She shifted in her seat, trying to make herself a little more comfortable on the cushioned bench covered with crimson coloured fabric, it was soft and easy to kind of... sink into. "Aaah... what do you mean by disastrous? What happened?" She asked, curiosity rising within her soft voice.

Kyerin scratched the back of his head, turning his gaze to the window, letting silence fill the room for a moment, the girl's question hanging in the air. "Disastrous as in... not ideal. I can recall a few incidents where mysterious accidents happened that led to the ruining of events, varying from faulty wiring to miscommunicated information, and there were rumors of the SFF having some hand in it, considering that it made the Student Council look bad."
The boy leaned back as much as he could on the narrow cushion without falling off. "Hopefully that won't happen this year... though I can't control all of the members..."
