As students may recall from the calender, there is a dance near the beginnign of the year to allow newcomers to meet other students of various grades, and old friends to catch up with each other after the break. Like prior years, the dance is held in the gym, due to a lack of a proper dance facility such as a ballroom (when asked why there wasn't such a building, Headmaster McKiln laughed and mentioned something about how this "wasn't no ballet school"). Students are strongly recommended to come, and staff members are invited to come, either to enjoy the dance or act as chaperones.
However, due to the large complexity and slow downtime of having all students crammed into one topic for the dance, a new style is being tested. The main dance thread will be used similarly to a sign in, with students posting in there first as they come in. If they so choose to specifically interact with a few other students, they can make a new topic in the gym to do so in. However, the main dance thread will signal events of the dance that will affect everyone, such as possible changes in music or other special events. Once students are in their own threads, please keep an eye on the main dance, considering that something in the enviroment may change that would affect the smaller topics.
