APPEARANCE DETAILS
Appearance:
Nicolette doesn't try too hard to make herself noticable when it comes to her appearance. She's rather ordinary at the first look. Her ash-blonde hair falls to her hips with bangs that part to the left, brushing over her left eye at times. She wears various headbands in her hair in order to keep her longer hair back and her bangs (which come to her nose in the front and follow down her jaw on the sides) separated. Her eyes are the most unique part of her physical being. She has Central Heterochromia, which is an eye condition in which there are two different colors in the same iris. The inner part of her iris in both eyes, closest to the pupil, is forest green, while the outer part of her iris is sky blue. Her skin is a creamy-pale color. She stands at about 5'5", still considered short by most, and is thin for her stature, possibly even under-weight, with a C-cup breast size.
Clothing Style:
When not in her school uniform and actually able to dress for comfort, she likes to wear loose clothes, often everything with long sleeves. Her skirts will often be ankle length and she doesn't often expose her skin, though she will occasionally sport a short sleeved blouse. However, it is extremely rare to see her wearing shorts or a skirt shorter than her uniform skirts. Her bathing suits are all one pieces. Her footwear consists of mainly dress shoes, slip-on shoes, boots, and one pair of flip-flops.
Special Accessories:
Her headbands, but they're nothing too special.
PERSONALLY
Over-all Personality:
Given her position over the school, Nicolette must be able to work hard and have the personality to win over the hearts of the students. She is very kind-hearted toward everyone, no matter their position in the matter of Student Council versus SFF. However, she is a very soft-spoken person and doesn't raise her voice too often unless the situation asks for it. She is very polite and speaks very formally, even with her own family.
She has lived a very prim and proper life from a very young age, during the time her parents were married. However, when the divorce occured, she learned to depend more on herself and she did well to make sure her younger brother received the care and attention he deserved. She never did well with failure since she had been often scolded for failure in her youth and discovered that if it couldn't be done right, then what's the point in doing it? She still always tried, though, even when she knew she could never possibly succeed.

BACKGROUND
History:
She was born as Nicolette Christelle De la Fontaine on the 21st of February in the year 1994 to Charlene and Mathieu De la Fontaine in London, England, the homeland of her mother. She was special from a very young age. By the age of three, the family discovered she was gifted. The first occurrance was at dinner one evening when she was three years old. The family was sitting in the elegant dining room when Nicolette knocked a fork on the floor from her high chair and when Mathieu went to pick it up, it began to quiver and slowly float back up to Nicolette's table. At first, they had dismissed it as a weird occurrance. However, it happened again, but in a different way. Nicolette was playing with her toys in the den and Charlene came to a scene where her daughter's toys were floating around her and the girl was giggling the whole time, her arms waving in the air.
They understood she was special and though they could not give her training themselves, they were able to hire people to train her. Charlene and Mathieu hired Nicolette a personal trainer, a Chinese woman named Fen Kwan, who was a trained psychic that worked with mental and physical abilities such as telekenisis, spellcasting, shape-shifting, and other various powers. A special doctor, a German woman by the name of Heidi Brandt, was also hired to run tests on her and to try and see how her powers worked. The doctor was also the doctor she went to for every little problem she had throughout her whole life, whether it was the simple cold or the worst of flus.
How were they able to afford all these things? Well her parents were very wealthy.
Charlene received a great sum of inheritance money when her father passed away in 1990. They moved into her parents' house later that year and Charlene began to attend law school. Mathieu was a thriving salesman who was working hard to earn his way to the top. Four years after that, Nicolette was born and Matheiu was up to being an assistant of a very powerful CEO whose business travelled internationally. Matheiu did a lot of traveling and Charlene balanced caring for Nicolette and attending law school.
Nicolette did not attend ordinary elementary school. She was enrolled at a very private elementary school and while she attended school, she also went to special lessons with her trainer and weekly visits to her doctor for various tests. Along with all of this, she also had a private tutor who worked with her to learn French, since she'd been born learning English. Needless to say, she was very busy, even in her youth.
About half way through her fourth year in life, Charlene announced that she was pregnant. Nicolette became excited over the news that she would be having a little sibling. Finally, she would have someone other than adults to interact with. The following summer, after she had turned five, her younger brother, Henri, was born. Shortly after his birth, Mathieu received a promotion to become a the CEO of the company's French Branch over in Paris, France. With the money they'd been getting, they were able to afford a large house in Paris, a house large enough not only to fit the family, but Nicolette's trainer, tutor, and doctor, who had come with them because of the incredible salary they'd be getting and they would be allowed a free room and free food and such.
However, during their time in France, only trouble brewed. Charlene and Mathieu had begun to fight frequently. It was often about how Mathieu was always away for work and how Charlene would always have to leave the children with a nanny while she was in school. Charlene graduated from law school when Nicolette was seven years old, having taken a few extra years when they moved to France. However, it was shortly after her graduation that Charlene and Mathieu filed for divorce.
The family was going to be torn apart.
At first, Nicolette and Henri were separated. Charlene took Henri back to England with her and Nicolette stayed with her father in France. It was also at this time that Nicholette's last name took on the hyphanated verison, becoming De la Fontaine-Verity. Nicolette became very distant starting then, feeling empty without her entire family together. During this time, Nicolette grew closer to Heidi, her doctor, because the woman acted as a sort of mother-figure to her while she lived with her father. Heidi believes it was at this time that Nicolette's pyrokenisis powers began to develop. She, to this day, has no idea how it formed, but the power did form and Nicolette's trainer had to work harder in order to help the girl control it enough to prevent her from setting accidental fires in her sleep.
After two years, when Nicolette was nine and Henri was four, Charlene and Mathieu agreed to begin to send the children back and forth between France and England so they would be able to see both their parents and be together as siblings. Wherever Nicolette went, her trainer, tutor, and Heidi would follow, and a year passed where the children would spend two months with Charlene and two months with Mathieu. It was also during this time that Heidi and Fen, the trainer, began to notice a change within Henri. They had discovered he could also produce a bit of pyrokenisis. They were puzzled at how both children were able to use this power, but Fen did her best to help him control his power, even though he was at a young age.
Then, Mathieu remarried. Her name was Gabrielle. They had met during one of the months that Nicholette and Henri had been with their mother, during the summer, and they were married by winter. This caused some emotional grief for Charlene and the children were not allowed to go back to their father's for quite some time. However, Charlene spent a lot more time with her work, leaving her children with Heidi and various nannies. This continued on for six months until Mathieu and Gabrielle came to England to retrieve the children. At first, Charlene was furious and refused to even let them in the door. But Mathieu convinced her to hear him out.
Nicolette would be turning twelve soon and she would be going to middle school soon. Mathieu told Charlene about T'zenshin Institute, which was a school that would provide training for the gifted and held grades seven through twelve. It took a lot of coaxing, but they agreed on it. January arrived and Nicolette was on a plane to T'zen Island. She had developed a fear of others touching her after going so long in almost solitude, so during her first year at T'zenshin, she very much kept to herself.
When she came back for her first break, during the spring, she had gone in for her check up with Heidi and found out that her brother was showing signs of possibly being a shape shifter. He had been growing furry at random times and Fen believed he would soon be able to completely shift into another being. This excited Nicolette to know that both she and her brother were special.
She continued her schooling at T'zenshin and near the end of her first year, she had developed another power, though she was unaware she'd developed it until she realized that she'd been left alone more than usual. She had been called to the office to talk with the headmaster and one of her teacher's. The teacher said that she had been absent from his class for almost two weeks straight. She had been very confused and explained that she had come to every class. Being very nervous under their hard stares, she had started to shake and suddenly, she disappeared before their eyes! However, when the teacher reached out to the place she had once occupied, he found she was still there!
She told them to call Heidi and Fen about her development with her powers and they came on the next flight to the island. They both did full examinations on her and Fen determined it was something to do with Nicolette's mind. It had to do with her mind connecting with others and making people THINK she wasn't there, when in reality, she really was. It was difficult to explain, but it was a very unique power she had developed.
By the time her second year rolled around, she had discovered her brother had developed the ability to shape shift into a dog. She thought it had to do with his loyalty to the family and his love for dogs in his youth from when they'd see them in their neighborhood.
She continued through her schooling and in her eleventh year, Henri began his first year at T'zenshin. Nicolette finally felt like she had someone she could talk with and be around. It was a nice feeling since she felt like most of the other people at T'zenshin never really tried to be her friend...But during her years at T'zenshin, she had been very kind and she had made at least some acquaintances.
At the end of her eleventh year, she decided to run for student council. That year, very few people ran and she was put in the position of T'zenshin Institute's Student Council President of 2012. She was very nervous and very shocked that she had gotten this position, but she took it graciously and she spent the following Winter Break trying to work up her courage to become a more sociable person so she could be the best president she could be.
She will be attending her final year of T'zenshin this year.
Secrets:
She is afraid of people touching her. This fear developed during her childhood since she had grown so accustomed to being all alone and she was only really close to her mother, her brother, Heidi, and Fen. She really can't explain why, but she prefers to have her own personal space when it comes to people being around her.
She is also slightly anorexic, to a point. She often times will be forgetful when it comes to eating, so it isn't often on purpose, but she will choose to eat lighter meals when she does eat. So, not entirely anorexic, but she could be considered slightly anorexic.
Gift:
Telekenisis - With her telekenisis, she can move objects with her mind. She can also subconsciously cause others to think she is invisible, though this ability doesn't always work and she needs a lot more training in it. Another ability she is working on developing is making an invisible, but physical barrier with her telekenetic energy.
Pyrokenisis - She can set things on fire by concentrating her mind and focusing until the fire sets.
She has trained both these abilities throughout her time at T'zenshin and has accomplished a lot, though she still needs just a bit more training.
