Kyerin smiled, letting his power gleen a bit of extra information, but nothing beyond what she told him. However, one thing stood out to him, from both what she said and thought: Henri. There was a few images of a young boy, blond hair, though darker than the girl's, smiling and playing the piano. He didn't know she had a younger brother; he would probably be an interesting person to talk to.
The young man smiled, taking another sip of his hot cocoa before replying. "It's perfectly fine; I enjoy learning about you. If you want, you can ask me about my childhood and family... though, like I said, it wasn't very eventful." He paused for a moment, mentally debating, before asking what he was thinking. "If I can further inquire... who exactly is Henri? Your brother?" He could guess about who Henri was, but it would be easier to hear the answer straight from her.

Nicolette nodded at Kyerin's question, bringing a hand up to brush her bangs from her eyes again. She was fond of her darling brother. He meant so much to her, especially when she had no one else to turn to but him.
"Yes. Henri De la Fontaine. He is a first year at the Institute this year, gifted with shape-shifting. I have not had many opportunities to interact with him since I started my schooling here since the breaks are so short..."
She looked across the table at him, her eyes curious.
"If you would not mind speaking of it... Could you possibly tell me a bit about your family? I would feel better to hear about your family as well, so I do not feel like I have been talking so much..."

Kyerin smiled and nodded at her question, having picked up a bit of information. If her brother was a first year, then that would make them five years apart... just like him and his sister, except both of them were a year older than his own familial situation. Interesting... how interesting indeed. Maybe he should talk to this Henri... that would be another amusing conversation.
The boy smiled and nodded, removing his glasses to clean them off, checking them in the light before putting them back on his nose, speaking once his eyewear was replaced. "Well, my father works in international shipping, his branch based in Kyoto, so a stable business. My mother is a... well, to label it in one word, a housewife, though she's a lot better than the connotation with that word. I do have a younger sister, Ayla, but she is a year too young to be here at T'zenshin..."
He trailed off, thinking about the young girl; even though it had just been a week since they had talked, he missed her. She was such a bright young lady, from what he had seen when he was around her. He really hoped that she would end up here next year, though that would mean she had some gift... maybe she did and was just keeping it secret from him.
He blinked slightly, realizing that he had trailed off in midsentence, and shook his head, looking back at Nicolette and smiling lightly. "But it must be nice to have your younger brother here; maybe you two could spend more time together."

"It would be nice to get to spend some time with Henri... If only I was not so busy with other such duties..." Nicolette spoke those words before she looked over the boy carefully. She decided to inquire more about his sister.
"You seem to have quite an admiration for your sister... Your eyes lit up just a little as you spoke of her. Tell me more about her, please?" She seemed genuinely interested. The blond had only Henri, so she didn't know what it was like to have a sister... She felt herself longing for the companionship of another female, but she pushed the feeling away. Henri was plenty good enough!

Kyerin's cheeks turned a faint shade of pick at her comment, not realizing that he was so easy to read on that topic. He felt embarrassed about it, but it was his sister, his only sibling, and she was a nice girl... of course, maybe it was just his wishful thinking, and she was mean. But while they were together, she was an enjoyable young lady, polite and cute.
The boy let himself smile a bit, taking another drink of his cocoa before replying to her inquiry. "Well, Ayla is eleven year olds, five years younger than me... she is a nice smart young girl, though she doesn't have any gifts from what I've heard. I bet you understand what I mean when I say that we don't get to spend much time together. That's why I'm envious of you having your sibling here."

Nicolette nodded at his explanation and she felt that he had every right to feel a bit of jealousy over her since it seemed he had a very strong admiration for his younger sister and to be away from her must have been tough. She knew how hard it was to be away from Henri, so she felt that she could relate to the feeling.
She wrapped her hands around her empty cup and looked down at it, her odd eyes examining it for a moment. Then she let it go and a few seconds passed before it began to slowly lift in the air and move to the trash can. It moved over at a moderate speed, seeing as they were pretty much the only two in the cafe area, over to the trash can and fell in once it hovered over-top it.
"I find that I have moments when I do not quite feel like getting up to throw something away... I feel so lazy." She let out a quiet laugh, a smile gracing her lips.

Kyerin smiled, chuckling lightly as the girl demonstrated her power once again, this time disposing her cup. Considering that there was really no one else around, she seemed to be much more open about this. He could relate; people knowing about his power tended to lead to nothing but trouble and feelings of enmity. However, his power was only realized by others who could feel it, or if he told them; she had to be more careful about it.
The boy rose, finishing off his drink, before looking down at Nicolette. "Well, some of us aren't so lucky to have things so easy, but that's the tradeoff," he replied, a faint smile still on his lips as he took the few steps it required for him to reach the trash can, and deposited his empty cup. He followed the return path back to his chair and sat back down, looking back across the table at the older girl. "Maybe I should meet your brother someday... I bet you feel as strongly about him as I do my sister."

Nicolette smiled. "That would be nice."
With them both finished with their drinks, she was sure it was getting time for them to depart. Plus, she had a meeting with her brother that she didn't quite want to be late for. She opened her purse and pulled her cell phone out again to see that it was getting quite late. She needed to get going.
"I do apologize, Monsieur Kyerin, but it is getting close to the time that I must be leaving." She gave him a small, apologetic smile as she stood up. She focused her mind on her bags and let them lift into the air before she wrapped her hands around the 'handles' before letting them go so she could hold them normally. "Possibly we could meet again some time soon?"

At the girl's comment, Kyerin reached into his pocket and withdrew his pocketwatch, checking it; yes, indeed, the hour had gotten quite a bit later than he had thought. And yes, they had both finished their beverages, and it seemed like their conversation was starting to run dry. No matter; they would probably be in contact in the future soon enough.
The young man nodded, also rising to his feet, though he had to pick up his bags by hand, as opposed to lifting them up through mental powers. "It would be a pleasure to meet again soon," he said with a small smile, adjusting his glasses. "I hope that we will meet quite a few times in such pleasant conditions."

Nicolette smiled and nodded before she offered the male a light wave. She departed from the book cafe.
