Even though they had passed each other during Algebra I, Isaak and Rhiannon hadn't had a lot of contact over the passed five or six days since they had met. Isaak didn't mind, though, he wanted to keep her on her toes for what the painting was going to look like and also... try not to look like a desperate guy. Even though they were fourteen and thirteen..
It was Saturday morning of the first week of May and Isaak had been sitting on a chair, staring at his painting for around two hours now, getting up and down every now and then to add certain things, blend a few colours before he stared at it some more. Today, he wore a simple pair of skinny, dark blue jeans and a plain white t-shirt. The black jacket that went with it was draped over the chair next to him. He knew he wasn't going to get any paint on this shirt since all the main parts were done, now was just the finishin touches.
He swallowed, his arms folded against his chest as he leaned back. His eyes glazed over it, seeing every flaw in it that only the artist would see. He sighed, picking up his phone and scrolled down to Rhiannon's name. He stared at it, thinking it over. With a deep sigh, he opened a new text message and typed in: Hey, Rhia, it's Isaak, come to room 403 on floor 4 of the boy's dorms
After staring at the message some more, he finally hit send. Well, it would have to be done now.

Rhiannon was lying on the couch in the main room of the dorm room she shared with her sister, staring at a blank piece of paper in front of her. It would eventually be filled with equations and solutions for her homework... but she was having trouble getting inspired to do it. Still, she would have to get it done; it wasn't hard, just tedious. So, now she would start with question one...
A sudden blare of a chorus caused the girl to start, almost falling off of the couch from her sudden surprise. However, she did recognize the sound, and fished out her phone to look at it. Who would be calling or texting her... the number was unmarked, so she had to read the message. However, what she read made her grin. It was Isaak! And he was done! What a sign! No homework now, she was going!
The girl quickly assigned the phone number in her address book so she would know it was him next time, before placing it in her jean pocket. She was pretty much ready to go, considering that she had a lilac blouse on and matching socks, but she did have to slide on her converse before leaving the room, telling her sister that she was going out.
It didn't take her long for her to make it over to the boy's dorm, sneaking in the main entrance past the lobbyist and over the elevator. A quick double check of her phone helped her punch in the right floor number as she waited, counting the beeps and hopping towards the doors just as it opened on the right floor. It wasn't far from there to her room, and she smiled, reaching up with one hand and rapping on the door quickly, hoping he would answer.

While he awaited the girl's arrival, he continued to stare at the painting like it was life or death. On the odd occasion he got up again to fix something or smudge part of the transparent-like mist he had created on it so it worked better. There was something different about this painting, though, he liked it, despite how many flaws he counted on it.
Maybe because it was different? His other ones didn't hold such an eerie and magical aura like this one. Was it the girl or was he just getting better? He hoped it was the second.
A knock at the door startled him, his heart thudded in his chest before realising it was just someone at the door. He rose from the chair, the cushion returning to its position before he had sat on it. He twisted the door knob, pulling it towards him to reveal a cute blonde haired girl. Rhiannon. A smile slipped onto his lips, "Hey, you look nice," He said, adding a laugh at the end.
He welcomed her inside and closed the door behind them. Luckily, the painting was in the next room so she would have to wait to see it.

Rhiannon smiled as the boy opened the door, and then even moreso at his compliment. "Oh, it's nothing too fancy," she said, though still pleased with the remark. "If it makes you feel uncomfortable, I could go back and put on something trashier." She had to have a couple of bland t-shirts somewhere... maybe a pair of jeans that had some rips in it...
The girl slid inside, looking around the room. It looked similar in the basics to her own room, but it definately felt more "manly". She wasn't sure why... probably from it not being as colorful or decorated. Still, it was nice. However... "So, you finished it, neh? Where is it?" She was reaaaallly curious as to what he had drawn, and wanted to see it. And it wasn't in here... maybe he had lied to her just to get her over? That would be mean though!

Isaak chuckled. "No thanks," He didn't want to waste time, he was already thinking about shooing her out so he could work on it some more but the more she walked into the dormitory the more he pressed himself to let her see the piece.
He led her to the entrance into the living room before he stood behind her, covering her eyes with his hands. "It's in here, but no peeking until I take my hands away, promise?" Once she agreed, he led her into the room, awkwardly walking behind her so he wouldn't trip on her footing.

Rhia smiled at the boy's remark, though she was surprised when he blinded her with his hands. She was worried for a moment until he spoke, her lips forming a small teasing smile that he couldn't see, being behind her. "Okay, I won't... besides, it's kinda hard for me to peek at things if you're covering my eyes, now isn't it?"
The girl began to walk forward as Isaak guided her, holding both of her hands in front of her so that she could make sure that he wouldn't run her into anything. When he halted, though, she had to stop too, considering that his hands weren't moving anymore which made them pressed against her face. "Oh, is it here? I can't wait! Showmeshowmeshowme!" she said, her excitement ramping up. She already had high hopes for him as an artist, even without seeing anything, and she was really curious as to what it was that he painted. Hopefully she wouldn't be disappointed.

Isaak removed his hands from the girl's eyes, letting her vision come back to her to reveal the painting he had finished.
The detail was fine, to a point where it looked OCD. It was landscape, the canvas sitting on a wooden easel. It had a girl, long blonde hair, seeming to fall to the small of her back. Her eyes were closed, a smile on her face as she danced on the water surface, she wore a simple white dress. White and bright blue paint splatter was made to look like sparkles. Swirling around her was what looked to be a water dragon, it's mouth spread open. The background was green and brown, showing the edge of the pond and going up to a green forest but the detail wasn't as fine as the girl and the dragon. It was like a photo.
"Whaddya think?" He asked her.

Rhia had to blink once as the light came rushing back in, giving her eyes a chance to adjust. However, once she could see the painting, she gasped, her hands now covering her mouth. It looked so real, like she could almost reach out and find herself on top of that pond in the... not quite as detailed forest. Still, in the foreground, the water dragon was amazing. And the figure there...
The girl stared at the painting intently for a moment, not saying anything. Finally, her hands fell away from her mouth, allowing her to speak, though her gaze didn't shift to Isaak, though the words were directed at him. "Is that... me?"

Isaak waited patiently, though the patience soon wore off and he began to worry what she thought of the painting. Not many of them made it to other people's eyes since he was so frustrated and disgusted by the way they turned out that he trashed them soon after finishing. But this one.. it was definitely different. He hoped she liked it..
She then spoke, asking if it was her. A dark blush came to his cheeks and he turned his gaze away from her. "We-well... kind of.. in a sense, I guess. I dunno..." A blonde haired girl suited the painting more than any other kind of hair colour but he had gotten his inspiration after the pool incident.

Rhia nodded lightly, still carefully; it wasn't an exact copy of her, but it did look similar... still, she could see how the whole pool incident had inspired him. She reached out one hand slowly, almost as if to touch it, before drawing her hand back, not wanting to mess with it. Sure, she did some artistic things, but she could never make anything like this...
The girl turned around to notice that Isaak was looking away from her, blushing. She coughed lightly so he'd look back, before smiling once again, a faint pink tinge in her own cheeks. "I really like it; it's amazing," she replied sincerely.

The boy hadn't seen her reach out to go touch the painting as he had continued to look away from her, afraid to make eye contact.
When she coughed, he peered down at her out of the corner of his eye through his glasses lense. He turned his head around, his blush darkening but a smile slipped onto his lips when she spoke. "I'm glad you like it," He said with a sigh of relieve, "I was hoping you wouldn't be angry that I used.. well, you know," He wasn't sure how to finish the sentence, and left it hanging, hoping she would catch on.

Rhia nodded, grinning more as he referenced the... incident. "Well, I do wish you had told me you were there... but if I knew you were going to paint something this amazing, I wouldn't have minded so much," she said, a teasing tone floating on each of her words, accompanied by her accent, almost one in the same.
The girl looked back at the painting, marveling once again at her. "Though... you do realize that this meant you lied to me," she stated matter-of-factly. She looked over her shoulder at Isaak, grinning again. "You said that you weren't going to paint me... but I suppose I can forgive that. It's such a lovely rendition."

Isaak laughed nervously. He nodded in agreement, he should have told her he was there, he should have just told her what was going on instead of waiting to be found out. Sort of.. anyway.
"Well..! I wasn't really sure at first but I got more ideas as I thought about it and went with it," He mused aloud, his silver bracelets jingling a little as his hands moved about. He brought a thin hand up to adjust his glasses so they would stop sliding off his nose. Gah, he never understood why they made them like that.

Rhia smiled, looking back at the painting. She didn't think she had a dress like that... and she was fairly certain she couldn't walk on top of water like that... nor have a cool water dragon. But it still felt quite a bit like her. It was really flattering, and it was painted in a nice, non-creepy manner.
The girl glanced back at the older boy, to notice that he was having to shove his glasses back up his nose to keep them on, causing her to giggle. "Need some tape to help you with that?" she asked, imagining placing a single strip of tape on the center to his forehead to keep them up. That might work...

Isaak made a pouty like face at Rhiannon's suggestion, he gently poked her forehead since she was short enough for it to work properly. "I'd rather have to push them up all the time than look like a dork," He laughed, but it was appreciated that she was willing to help him like that. Buuuuuutttt..... tape on his nose? He wanted to save his dignity.
His mind trailed off into thought for a few moments before he was brought back down with an idea. He averted his gaze back to the his guest, a smile curving onto his lips. "Now, since I am still making it up to you, would you like to either go see a movie or rent one and maybe have some ice-cream with it?" She could have ice-cream with both of them, though since movie theatres were hard on what you brought into their cinemas, she wouldn't have much choice on the flavour.
