Klaus's heart thumped in his chest, why did Christopher keep pulling him so close? It was causing so many feelings to stir up inside of him that he hadn't really felt too often -
...Did Klaus have a crush on teacher?
Maybe, if Klaus was being honest with himself. It was possible to have a harmless little crush on a teacher, wasn't it? It didn't have to amount to anything, and crushes were crushes - they came and they left and they didn't have to mean anything at all. Just that you like someone more than you should.
"I was just being disgustingly honest is all," Klaus said, giving himself a self-mocking smirk. Yeah, honest around someone you didn't know that well, Klaus. How uncharacteristic of him.

The words, no matter the tone they were spoken in, were a comfort for the man and he gave a small smile as he shook his head.
"Thanks..." He muttered before bringing his cigarette back to his lips, gazing out at the water, specifically at the reflection of the moon on the smooth surface.
There was silence between the two for a long while and Christopher soon finished off his cigarette, throwing it down and stepping on it with his shoe. He continued to hold the boy at his side before shutting his eyes and tilting his head back, as if he were looking up at the sky.
"You gotta wonder if there's someone up in the heavens that keeps making us run into each other." He said, his voice warm.

Klaus was content in the man's arms, and he almost snuggled up to him, but Klaus refrained. Better not act like a lovesick puppy, especially when he was not intending for the...maybe-crush to go any further.
He laughed at Christopher's comment, and replied, "Heh, if I didn't know any better I'd say someone was trying to play match-maker." His voice was light and joking, because Klaus knew that if some divine force was playing match-maker they're wouldn't do it between a boy and his teacher, right?

Christopher smiled and opened his eyes, gazing up at the stars above. "You never know." Despite the words spoken in the Bible and other religious books, he still believed that God loved all his children, straight or gay, white or black, human or animal, etc.

"Heh, you know very well that if some divine force was doing that they would probably be cruel. No one would willingly match up something so...wrong," Klaus spoke, and withdrew from Christopher's arms as much as he didn't want to. He could do some more harmless flirting, right? It wouldn't hurt at all, right?
No, not now. That was for sometime else completely.
Looking back down at the water, Klaus was thinking up for a topic change. Something else, anything else -
"Hey...that girl that came in on Saturday, Rebecca, was she your sister...?" He asked, he had been wondering about that. He doubted that she was his lover, since she looked so young but - but you never knew.
And at that thought that same sickening jealous feeling bubbled up inside of him.

Christopher glanced back down at the boy, raising an eyebrow but letting him move away. The words he spoke were a little... painful, though true. He let them pass, ignoring them as he brought his hands to shove into his pockets. He looked back out at the lake before hearing the question directed at him and glanced back at Klaus with a raised eyebrow.
"Becca? What did you think she was, my girlfriend?" He asked before laughing, looking back out at the lake. "Yeah... She's my little sister, though you really wouldn't know it just by looking at us. I have black hair, blue eyes, and she has blonde hair, hazel eyes. Pretty surprising that we came from the same parents and everything." He chuckled lightly.

Klaus flushed at the question, now he didn't think that but it was very well possible!
"I-I didn't think that," Klaus said, though he would have expected Christopher to have a girlfriend or maybe even a boyfriend...but from the sounds of it, he was single. "She's...interesting, though," he added, not really sure how to word it. He didn't know what to think of that girl, though he didn't really see that much of her.
She was really happy-go-lucky, though. It kinda annoyed Klaus, or was that just his unreasonable jealousy talking?

Christopher smiled fondly and let his gaze fall back on the water as he thought of his sister. "She's a sweetheart. She means the world to me, considering she's one of the only people who love me unconditionally and would never turn on me." He brought his hand up to run through his hair again. "I'm glad she's coming here to T'zenshin, where I can keep an eye on her."
Memories of not being able to be there for her when she was hit by the car came to mind and he grimaced a little before shaking his head. She was fine now, though... Despite gaining a strange power which caused her to know exactly how someone was feeling. It was a little unnerving sometimes.

I could love you unconditionally, Klaus thought to himself, though he kept the thoughts to himself. He didn't even know where they came from, and he didn't know why he was still thinking of Saturday and how -
No, best not start thinking about that again.
Smiling calmly at Christopher, Klaus spoke, "You're really protective over her, aren't you? You really love her," course, Klaus was that way toward his darling Siobhan and Jacob, so it was probably normal for siblings to be like that.

Christopher gave a small, sad smile as he shut his eyes. "I nearly lost her once... And without her, I really would be alone in this stupid world... Yeah, I have my parents, sure... But they just don't connect with me as well as Rebecca does."
Walter and Elizabeth were wonderful parents, but they weren't like Rebecca. And while Rebecca knew almost everything about her brother, there was one thing he wouldn't breathe word to any of his family about, and that was his sexual life back in college, where he had more sexual partners than he could count on both his hands, his feet, Rebecca's hands, and Rebecca's feet, he was sure.

That unreasonable jealousy mixed in with some sympathy for Christopher, and damnit, Klaus didn't really know how to react so he simply when with impulse.
Wrapping one arm around Christopher's shoulders, Klaus whispered in a rather gentle voice, "But you still have her." He wanted to tell Christopher that he wouldn't be alone, that he would be there for him, but despite that little blooming crush that he had, he couldn't say it.
Klaus didn't know Christopher that well, and they were student and teacher.
"You're not going to ever be alone, though. Don't ask me how I know this, it's just some feeling that I have."

Christopher tensed a little at feeling the boy's arm wrap around him and he gave a small smile down at him as he slowly relaxed. He brought his hand down to gently rest on Klaus's knee, feeling relieved at the words spoken.
"Thanks..." Was really all he could say. He didn't want to say the wrong thing. Hell, he didn't want to do the wrong thing either, though... He wouldn't mind doing something.... 'wrong'.
He mentally slapped hismelf for such thoughts. It had been far too long since he'd had any sexual encounters that wasn't with his hand.

"No problem," Klaus said, and mentally he was thinking all sorts of different, wrong, sick things that were probably unforgivable. There was so much more than he wanted to say but couldn't because of his better judgment.
"So," Klaus started to speak, not wanting to stay silent for too long. "I haven't seen you that much for non-school related stuff lately. How've you been?" He probably would have tried to ask Christopher how he felt about puzzles and maybe give him one to solve if he liked them, but Klaus couldn't think of any good, tricky puzzles at the moment.

Christopher raised an eyebrow at the question before shrugging lightly.
"Eh, I've been alright, though Final Fantasy XV has been pissing me off with impossible boss fights. I've also been trying to work on making up some test questions for my various classes since I plan to give a test out soon." He gave another shrug, which he found himself doing a lot. He glanced at the boy.
"How about you? Been doing anything interesting outside of class?"

Gah! Test?! He had to study, study, and then study some more. Good thing that Klaus had certain thoughts that he kept his mind off of by doing all of that extra work for all of his classes.
"Eh...honestly, I haven't been doing anything interesting. Mostly just work; e-mailing Siobhan and Jacob; practicing violin, viola, and singing...nothing interesting to talk about, but I guess I've been fine," Klaus said with a shrug. He didn't really get the talk about video games seeing as he never really bothered to pick any video games up, didn't you just level up and hack and slash shit?
