Slinging his bag over his shoulder, Klaus shrugged. "Don't know what you're talking about. I haven't been overworking myself at all. If anything, I haven't been working enough," he said, a small spark of...some kind of hurt in his expression, though that quickly vanished once the boy gave Mr. Parker a small smirk.
"But I guess I'll leave. I don't really feel like arguing with you right now," Klaus said, turning around and walking towards the door. "Later," he finished, suppressing a yawn. Yeah, he'd collapse onto his bed when he got back to his dorm.

In truth, the man didn't want the boy to leave. He enjoyed Klaus's company, much more than he did of other people. Maybe it was because the kid was equally as playful as he was. Maybe it was because the kid actually cared about how he did in school....
Or maybe it was because the kid was pretty cute.
Christopher shook his head and watched the boy's back. "Yeah.. See ya..." He said, his voice slightly distant as he rose a hand and weakly waved.
No... Klaus was a student and it was wrong to think of a student that way. He could get fired for it and that would greatly disappoint his parents... To disappoint them...
He leaned back against the desk behind him, looking at the ground in deep thought.

Klaus stopped when he heard his teacher's voice, turning around to look back at him with a confused expression. What was bothering him? Normally, Klaus wouldn't care one bit and just leave, but...eh, it was probably just because it was weird to see Mr. Parker like that? Not like Klaus knew the guy well, but still!
"Hey, you okay?" Klaus asked, genuine concern and curiosity in his voice, but before it could come off too close or friendly, Klaus smirked and added, "upset that I'm leaving?"
Yeah...he didn't exactly want to get close to Mr. Parker. That would cause some trouble.

Christopher jumped a little when he heard Klaus's voice. He thought the boy had left already! He swallowed hard, but forced a smile as he ran his fingers through his messy locks.
"Well, you are good company. But you shouldn't be spending your time locked up in a classroom when you could be getting your rest in your dormitory."

For some weird, probably ridiculous reason, hearing Mr. Parker say that he was good company made...eh, butterflies fly around in his stomach? It wasn't exactly the term Klaus would use, but it was close enough to the feeling it gave him...though it also made him mentally laugh a bit. The only people who sincerely thought he was good company were his siblings...every one else was just an acquaintance whom he didn't really care for and who probably didn't care for him at all, which was fine.
"Neither option is too appealing, really," Klaus said, though the only reason the dorm wasn't appealing was just because it was, well, a dorm and Klaus was never too fond of sharing things with people; the reason that being here wasn't too appealing was because it was a classroom, and a History classroom at that. The teacher who was in it didn't bother him so much...
In fact...he kinda liked being around Mr. Parker, though that was probably just because of his playful nature. Nothing more.

Christopher watched the younger male for a moment, trying to think of what to say to him. Suddenly, his brain wired straight to his mouth without his permission and he ended up surprising himself with his next question.
"Do you drink coffee?"

Klaus raised his eyebrow at the question. Where in the hell did that come from?
"I don't really like coffee that much. I prefer tea," he said, blinking a bit in confusion. Eh, he might've been asking that because coffee was supposed to keep help keep you up because of caffeine...but the taste wasn't really good at all. "Why?"

Christopher couldn't help but let out a laugh at the comment. The boy was the same as him when it came to taste! On Chris's desk right now was his thermos of tea, originally bought for him by his mother who figured he would need a lot of coffee being a teacher. He thanked her, but never once put a drop of coffee in it.
"Yeah, coffee is pretty nasty..." He said with a small smile before he shrugged and leaned back against the desk. "Well, I was going to offer to buy you some coffee to keep you up, but since you hate it probably as much as I do, I guess there goes that idea."
He had a smile still stained on his lips as he looked down at the floor, though his mind was screaming at him. What the hell was he doing?! Klaus was a STUDENT, not some guy he met in town while out drinking. But.... Who said teachers and students couldn't at least be friends? There was no rule against that. Hell, it was almost encouraged since there was a great lack of adult role models for the students with the island lacking in adult population.

Klaus was a little confused, what was Mr. Parker getting at? Did he actually want to spend more time with Klaus, outside of the classroom? It wasn't like Klaus was against it, but it was just really surprising.
"Mr. Parker, are you asking if I want to go out around town with you?" Klaus asked, adding in the last bit to make it seem less wrong. As he said that, he took a folder out from his bag and put the review sheet in it, before returning the folder to the bag. No point in keeping that thing out.

Christopher's eyes widened slightly at the words that came from the younger male's lips. In a nutshell, that was pretty much what he was asking of the boy, though he wasn't so blunt about it. He swallowed hard and brought his hand up to run through his hair, brushing his bangs back before they fall back to frame his face again.
"Well... I suppose I am." He said with a light laugh. He then looked up, a touch of worry coming to his eyes. "But... you don't have to if you don't want to... I just figured, if you didn't have anything else to do or anything..." he rambled, bringing his hand up to rub the back of his head. He probably sounded like a babbling idiot.

Klaus let out a short laugh at Mr. Parker's rambling as he walked back towards the teacher, an almost condescending smile on his face. You know, when Mr. Parker got like that he was kind of cute...
"Haha, why not? I don't really have anything else to do," Klaus said with a shrug of the shoulders before adding, "so, have any ideas? I'm sure you know this island better than I do." Yep. In all honestly, Klaus had already spent much time outside of the school campus, he would maybe go out to get something to eat but besides that he was normally around the school or in his dorm doing all sorts of work.

Christopher had rambled, but was cut off when Klaus spoke. His eyes widened and he immediately shut up, looking at the student in surprise. Had he just accepted his offer to go out into town? Well... That was certainly unexpected. He swallowed hard and tried to find his voice and pick at his brain for an idea of where they could go.
Then, Christopher's stomach growled, which caused him to jump a little. That wasn't something he had been expecting. He glanced down at his stomach before laughing at himself, shaking his head.
"How does food sound?"

Klaus thought it was even cuter when Mr. Parker looked at him with surprise, and he had to suppress another chuckle.
"Food sounds good," Klaus replied, he was a bit hungry anyway. Turning around and walking closer to the door, Klaus looked over his shoulder with that same old smirk he seemed to always wear on his face. "Well, shall we get going?"

It didn't take very long for Christopher to determine that he very much liked Klaus's smirk. Which he kicked himself mentally for, considering he shouldn't like it. He should exactly be liking anything about the younger male, considering the fact he was a STUDENT.
Oh, what was he getting himself involved in....?
He picked up his work bag and jacket before turning to look at the boy. "Did you want to drop by your dormitory to drop anything off?" Christopher knew he'd be dropping by the Island Apartment Complex so he could drop his things off. He didn't exactly want to lug around his work bag everywhere.

Hm...he could switch his bags (he had one bag that had all of his school supplies and then another one that had everything else in it), but that was all he really thought of. Hm, might as well.
"It would be a good idea to drop off my bag," Klaus said, letting out a laugh. "We'll split up and then meet...where?" He asked, grabbing the doorknob as he spoke.
