Isley stared at his telelvision screen for a few moments before turning it off again. He had already seen the movie before, and he wasn't all that interested in seeing it again. It was much easier to talk to Faye without the television on in the background anyway. Content with just staring up at the ceiling, Isley reclined his chair again.
Isley liked Faye's long hair when he first saw her, and didn't really like the idea of a haircut for her. On the other hand, he was becoming slightly curious about what she would look like with short hair. But then again, he didn't really like the idea of his girlfriend having hair as short as his or even shorter, plus with Faye's features and the wrong haircut, she probably end up looking a little... Boyish.. He picked up his soda and began swishing it around in the bottle instead of drinking from it. "It isn't that much of a change, I think it's just fine." He replied. It was long now, so in the next few months, Faye would probably be tripping over her own hair, so getting a haircut now was good idea.
"Well, if you decide to go get a haircut some time this weekend, perhaps we can go get manicures together. There's a really fine place in the mall, I'll pay." He said and began studying his fingernails again. While getting manicures was great, that sort of wasn't a date.. Hmm..

Not only did she satisfy her pineapple craving, she quenched her thirst as well. She stabbed another piece of pineapple with the stainless steel like fork and placed it into her mouth, chewing it softly and swallowing. "Yeah, I didn't want to change my look too much, I just thought it was getting a little too long to take care of properly," She went through a lot of pineapple scented shampoo just to get it all clean. Most of her money went on taking care of her incredibly long hair so she wanted to get it cut so she could spend money on other things.
Like more Pineapple.
"Oooh~! That sounds like fun," She said, her voice beaming with enthusiasm. Though she was a little puzzled to know what Isley got manicures, it was odd to find a guy so willingly open to saying it as well. Meh, Isley was different all round it seemed anyway. "Maybe we could get lunch, too?" She said, maybe with the lunch, it would seem more like a date.

"Good, I like your look the way it is." Isley said. He looked to his left where his fishtank was set. Oh right, it was time to feed them. He got slowly, set his soda bottle on top of the coffee table and walked over to his fishtank. He switched off the pump, which was the cause of all the bubbling and splashing in the tank, turned on their light, which the illuminated the water with a bright blue light, and started sprinkling fish pellets into the tank.
He closed his fishtank and smiled when he heard Faye on the other end. It was a thing he'd been doing with his grandmother before he had entered T'zenshin. Once he had gotten his first manicure, he really enjoyed it and didn't want to go back to what he was doing before, which wasn't very much. Since he was still in elementary school, of course, he got both good and bad feedback about it from his peers. Even though, Isley cared so much for his appearance, he never paid so much attention to the social norms. What was wrong with wanting to look better than everyone else? "Yes, that would be great. Italian?"

Faye blushed brightly at Isley's comment about liking the way she looked, "Aww, yay," She said in reply to it, she was happy about him liking the way she looked, that was an important thing to her since he was her 'boyfriend' currently. She shifted her bowl of pineapple to the coffee table that separated two couches, one was fit for one person and the other was made of at least two, or three, depending on who sat in it. She took a seat in the one made for one person, ignoring the flickering pictures and lights on the television. She pressed the mute button so the noise wouldn't distract her.
Her fork picked up another piece of pineapple where she put it quickly into her mouth before pineapple juice trickled down onto her pearl white camisole. "Ooh, you like Italian food, too? I always liked it better back in Florence since it was home made and all... but it's still good here," She unintentionally just told him she was from Italy. Not that she would ever notice until he mentioned it.

Isley watched his angelfish swim to the top of the tank and voraciously begin eating their lunch. Whoops, did he forget to feed them last night? He sat down on the couch positioned right next to the fishtank and beside a window and continued to watch his fish eat. He smiled when Faye asked him if he liked Italian food. "Yes, I love Italian food.. Oh, you're from Italy?" Isley replied and got up to sprinkle more fish pellets in the tank. That was something new he didn't know about Faye. At first glance, she didn't look very Italian at all. "I agree, meals are always the best in your hometown."

She lifted her legs up onto the couch so she could tuck them slightly under her body and leaned over to rest on the arm of the chair. Realisation fell over her as she realised she hadn't told him that before but a smile slipped onto her pink lips, "Yeah, I am, but I don't really look it because my dad was like... part English so I have some of the in me too.." But she was mostly Italian over English but it seemed to show a lot.
"What's your favourite Italian dish?" She asked, wanting conversation to carry on and it was interesting to see what Isley liked...

Isley shut his fishtank again and stepped back to watch the fish eat. "That makes two of us. While I'm Japanese, I'm part English, too. You can't tell at all, right?" He actually didn't mean to sound insulting to Faye as if he didn't believe her. He was just joking again.
"Gelato, I love sweets," Isley answered when Faye asked about his favorite Italian. Ice cream was a dessert, so he supposed that made Gelato a dish, too. It was very true that Isley liked sweets and lots of caffiene, too. His refrigerator was filled with the stuff, and barely had anything else. "And what would be yours?" He went over to the kitchen to wash the smell of fish food off his fingers.

Japanese? But.. he looked nothing like it, not at all. If he was part Japanese then his mother would of have to have been that.. but, eh? "You're joking, right?" She asked, hoping that he was actually joking so she could take it lightly and not fall for it. Mmmm, Gelato was good, she felt like ice-cream or something now after she finished her pineapple.
"I like Gelato too, but I also like ravioli and tortellini ones.." They were like heaven on Earth, she would get some when they went out that weekend. Not only did she come from there, but she also knew the language as well, fluent enough to make it seem like she knew every word out there in it but she had left Florence before she could learn all of it, plus she had to learn English as well. Thinking about the Italian language and remembering when she used to speak it... she carried on speaking, in Italian to Isley as she glanced down at on of the cushions she had appliqued an owl design onto, it was beginning to come away, "Aww, I'll have to sew that back up.."

Isley turned off the water tap and then dried his hands with a towel. "Yes, I'm joking," he replied with a small chuckle. Well, at least she was catching on sooner than she was yesterday. He couldn't believe she actually believed when he said the librarian removed all of the chemistry books in exchange for comics. He held back a laugh and sat back down in his recliner in the next room.
"I enjoy ravioli every now and then, too, the canned kind." Isley replied as he crossed his legs. Honestly, the only ravioli he had ever tried was Chef Boyardee, and that was mostly in his childhood when he lived with his grandparents. Hm, while Faye was talking about Italian food, he wondered if she could cook it. He couldn't cook at all himself, which is why he frequently ordered out. He even once burned water, and accidentally exploded the eggs he was cooking when he was trying to make scrambled eggs. "Do you cook it yourself sometimes?" Isley asked and raised an eyebrow when Faye started speaking an another language. It didn't sound like French.. Italian maybe? "Pardon me?"

Faye was glad she had guessed right this time about his little jokes he seemed to get a kick out of making. She felt a little proud of herself, her gullible like nature faded the longer she spoke to or hung around the person. "Sometimes~ I sometimes cook it for me and my roommate, Haruka," Considering her ability to speak Italian, she didn't butcher the ru in Haruka's name, which she was pleased about.
"Huh?" She back tracked, trying to remember what she had said for him to say that. She then remembered she hadn't spoken English... "Ah, sorry! I was meant to say 'I need to sew that up' in English but I guess I got a bit carried away with thinking about Italian things..." She laughed nervously. Her bowl of pineapple was now finished so she rose from the couch and placed it in the sink ready to be washed later that night. Feeling hungry still, she opened the cupboard to see if she had any tortellini or ravioli from her previous grocery trip, she was in luck. There was two packets left, she would only need one so she grabbed that down. "Ah-hah! Found something for dinner.." She said, sounding a little victorious although she was mainly speaking to herself, then.

Isley picked up his bottle of Mountain Dew and began sipping it slowly. So she could cook, but Isley wondered if she could cook well. "I'd like to taste some of your ravioli sometime." He said, and grinned a little at his unintentional double entendre. He began swishing the remaing soda around in his bottle again.
"Oh, you know Italian? Fluently?" Isley asked and then blinked. Did she say something about needing to sew something up? When Faye mentioned dinner, Isley was reminded of his own lack of dinner and his stomach started growling again. He finished off his bottle of soda and tossed the bottle into the trash. "What are you having?" He asked curiously.

Faye thought for a moment, she was making a ravioli type dish tonight.. "Well, if you came over for dinner tonight you could, since I'm making creamy chicken and ravioli~" Usually one would make this for about four people but there was only two people living there so she didn't need half the amount of ingredients. Besides, it was almost like cooking for one since Haruka hardly ever ate when she was around and it was a mission and a half to get her to eat the portion she set out.
"Ah yes~ I do know Italian fluently.. enough, I don't know everything but I know enough. I had to learn English, too, you see," She answered, smiling still. She opened the fridge to find a packet of chicken breasts she had gotten out earlier that day, she must have been wanting to make something with chicken then.. She placed it on the counter and went to another cupboard to find a frying pan to fry it up with.

Isley was sold the moment Faye said 'if you came over for dinner.' He hadn't had a homecooked meal ever since winter vacation when he visited his grandparents house. "Would that be alright with your roommate if I did come over? I wouldn't want to intrude." Isley replied. Most of the time, girls enjoyed his presense, he was sure, but he thought it better and more polite to ask first. Surprise meetings were sort of awkward...
He got up from his chair to find a suitable outfit for if he was going to Faye's dorm tonight. "Hm.. Interesting, I want to hear you speak more in Italian, Faye. Say something in Italian." He said as he began to look through his closet. What was he going to wear? Maybe he should change shirts.

Faye blinked, she wasn't completely being serious but Isley seemed to think that she was. Well, she'd have to make more then! She glanced down at the packet of ravioli and thought about how much she would need, trying to remember the last time she made something with ravioli in it and how much her and Haruka needed. The entire packet would be fine, she decided. "U-uh, I'm sure she wouldn't mind at all, actually, she might not even be here tonight, she hasn't turned up yet,"
She was taken back a little, surprised at the sudden request to speak in Italian. She hated being put on the spot like that, but she would have to make the best of it. She swallowed, "Um... would you like gelato for dessert?" The word gelato being perfectly pronounced in Italian should've been a good give away for what she was saying.

"Oh, good," Isley murmured as he went through his closet. He didn't think it was good that a student hadn't returned back to her dorm from wherever she went. As a member of the Student Council, he should at least ask. On the other hand, with her out of the picture, he could spend some more time alone with Faye. He couldn't be that selfish, could he? "Has something happened to your roommate?" He asked though inwardly hoping the girl wouldn't turn up for dinner while he was there.
He paused when Faye spoke in Italian. Clearly, she said something about gelato, but he didn't understand anything else. He noticed, just like how she sometimes sounds in English, she sounded unsure or nervous. "Aside from it being another language, you sound a bit different when you speak it. What did you say?" He asked and took out a pair of grey slacks from his closet with his free hand.
