The girl heard the correction to his name and smiled. She had no real trouble saying his name. She just said it wrong to see if he would react to it. She nodded to Henri as he got a sheet of music and placed it before her. She began to view it as Henri told her what it was. "I see. What does the major mean? Are there other types of C scales...because if there is...do I have to learn them too."
A frown appeared on Aidefgen's face. She didn't like the possibility that playing the piano would be so hard. She was also getting a little bored. Henri's explanations were very general and he didn't seem to do anything to keep her attention. She kept quietly and continued to listen to him. It was important for her to make relationships with as many people as possible in the school. She began to think that Henri would be a fine person to be her first friend at the school.
She focused back on Henri when he began to explain about the Treble and Bass clefs. It wasn't really too long, but it still was a bit hard to focus on. She noticed he focused more on one clef over the other. He finished when she had a good understanding on Treble clef more than Bass. With a little more work, she was sure she'd be able to understand it easier. She turned her eyes on the cloak in the room for a second to see that she'd been there learning how to play the piano for about 40 to 50 minutes. "So...do you think I am a slow learner? I'm not sure if I'm learning fast or not. Is it boring to teach me?

Henri was absolutely no good at this teaching thing... He looked down at his lap with a gentle sigh, not answering the first of her questions for a moment. It would require a lot of thinking and more explanations, which would lead to even more explanations because he would refer to another term he'd never used before and it would be a never ending cycle of explanations...
However, at her question, he shook his head, though he did not raise his gaze from his lap. "It is not that is it boring to teach you or that you are a slow learner... I just happen to be a poor teacher. Now I am beginning to believe why twelve-year-olds are not teachers..."
He brought a hand to his chin, his pointer finger bended under his lower lip as he thought for a moment before shrugging and looking at the piano keys. He then stood from his seat and began to walk around the room, taking a look at the various music-related motivational posters and the awards that covered the walls.
He had the extreme urge to move around and be active. He'd been on planes and in classrooms and had very little opportunity to walk around and be active. It was rather nice to be able to move his legs, even if it was just to move around a music room.

Aidefgen's gaze went down to Henri's lap when he looked down. She was a little bit unaware of what it could mean if he caught her staring. She quickly looked back to the piano and began to think of a way to understand what was said so far. An intense look of concentration appeared on her face as she began to focus. She didn't even stop her focusing when he began to talk to her. She caught on when he said that he just happened to be a poor teacher.
The girl looked at Henri and shook her head. She patted him on the back and said, "You aren't a poor teacher. You just...I'm just...not understanding something you're telling me. It doesn't matter if you are twelve-years old. You can blame me for anything I don't understand."
She let her hand fall back to her side as he stood up and began to walk around the room. She assumed he was thinking about something. She let him take his time and began to calmly play the C scale. It was rather easy. When she was done, she got up and began to follow Henri rather closely. "What now friend?"
She contemplated on using the German word for friend but decided against it. English seemed to be the language most common on the island and she wanted to speak it as much as possible. She jingled her bell while smiling.

Henri looked down at the watch on his wrist with little interest, but when sight of the time caught his eye, he knew he wouldn't have much more time before he needed to find his sister. He had planned to go shopping tomorrow so he would have the supplies he needed for classes the upcoming week.
"I do apologize... But I must be going... I have some important matters to discuss with my older sister." He walked back over to his backpack and picked it up off the floor, zipping it up and slinging it up on his back.
"I will see you in class, yes?"

Aalyshah saw how Henri looked at his watch and she shifted in her sit a bit uneasily. She didn't want to be keeping him if there was something he was supposed to do. When he mentioned something about his older sister, she nodded and began to work more on the different scales on the piano. She turned to Henri and said in the friendliest tone she could come up with, "Okay Henri. See you in class...hopefully."
She planned on learning a lot about the piano for the next couple of days. She began to chew on her lips as she set herself a weekly goal in her head.

Henri nodded in her direction before he turned and left the orchestra room.
