About The Plot
The T'zenshin Institute is a special high school created specially for gifted students. Gifted does vary by definition, and all are accepted, whether you have a photographic memory, or you have had a sex change operation and want to start anew, or you are a spellcaster, a werewolf, or other sort of magical being. It's a school where any gifted student can join and learn with no fear of having their secrets revealed; all is confidential, and everyone there knows that everyone else is special.
About the RPG
The T'zenshin Institute is an intermediate/advanced role playing site. Please bring forth effort in your posts and try to work with the plot line. Feel and understand the rivalry that the Student Council and the Student Freedom Force feel. But before any of this, please do remember to have fun because that is the true reason for role playing!

Rai has still got quite a a bit of growing to do as he only stands at a puny 5'5", he would remain that height if his English heritage didn't exist. Although, even with his height he still maintains a lovely toned muscular body with signs of distinctive muscle around his abdominal areas. Since the Japanese side of him has more dominance, his skin complexion is a soft white but is going a yellowish brown in some areas due to being out in the sun in the past few summers. To match his personality, his face shape is rather child like, as if he was a few years younger than he is.
His natural hair colour is black but over his early teenage years he has dyed it a soft navy blue colour with red streaks through the bangs that fall over his face. The red colouring is fading more quickly than his blue dye so the red looks very washed out and pale. His bangs, however, do not cover his astounding light grey-blue eyes, instead they fall around them as if they naturally expose them.
Clothing Style:
Because of his personality, Rai dresses rather casually when not in his school uniform. Generally his outfits can consist of jeans, shorts and some kind of t-shirt. To keep warm, especially during these winter months, he would usually throw on a hoody of some sort that zips up.
A slightly more detailed explanation of a daily outfit for Rai would be a pair of black denim jeans that look to be fading into a dark grey more than anything, accompanied by a pair of black sneakers, more so considered 'skate shoes'. An Egyptian blue coloured t-shirt with a green and black splatter pattern is then worn over his chest. If he's cold (which is generally not the case) he would wear a black zip-up hoody that has white material on the inside instead of completely black.
Special Accessories: He has a few accessories that he wears daily, like a silver chain bracelet that he is hardly ever seen without and sometimes a silver plated ring on his middle finger that has a dragon engraved into it. Nothing special.
PERSONALLY
Over-all Personality:
If you wanted to describe Rai in one word, that word would be goofball. He is often goofing off in class and not listening but he does eventually get some work done. If you were to put him under one of the four main animals of personalities, he would be an otter. He just loves to have fun and make life enjoyable. Along with this comes his sweeter and kinder side of him. However, even though he is fun loving and sweet, he is also pretty oblivious and clueless to a lot of different things. If someone liked him, and they made it pretty obvious that they did, he probably wouldn't notice until they said they did. It's pretty much a flaw of his.
He loves to eat. Honestly, he could eat all day it wouldn't go anywhere at all, it's as if he has some kind of bottomless pit in his stomach (which in fact he just has a very high metabolism). Another thing is he gets very excited over small things (such as a piece of candy or something) but he isn't a complete airhead and can be rather serious when he needs to be which could be during an argument or a fight of some sorts, but he doesn't enjoy getting into those.
Most people tend to get a bit lonely when they're by themselves, but Rai doesn't, because generally when he's alone he's in his dorm and he has his pet fish to keep him company. Quite often he can be found talking to them, like a mini conversation basically.
When his childhood is brought up he tries his best to act like it was all happy and dandy when in fact due to his special gift it wasn't all that great. His true personality is kind of paranoid and distant from things. At times he wishes he could turn off his hearing altogether. On the subject of his hearing, he hates listening to music through ear pieces or anything like that, the noise is far too loud in his ear and it sounds like it's going to burst his ear drum so he doesn't own an iPod and if he does listen to music, it's on his stereo and on a low volume.

BACKGROUND
History:
Emily Bell was only seventeen years old when she gave birth to her first born child; Rai. She had only just been able to get a hold of a steady job, which wasn't that great anyway, and also convince the father to stay and help support her and her new born son. Itsuya Aikaryu was a Japanese lawyer and believed he had better things to do than stay in the stupid town of Oxford, England. However, after spending a little time with his son he began to feel more attached to him and slowly started to love him. After a few years when Rai turned two, Itsuya had convinced Emily to come back to Japan with him so they could raise him there where Itsuya could earn a little more money than he was in Oxford. Emily and Itsuya were never officially married so Emily still remained with her maiden name; Bell. Although, Rai was given Itsuya's surname; Aikaryu.
So they made their way to Matsue, Japan. Rai was a happy little boy but his mother had always noticed something strange about him. As if he could hear things that she could not, he was often found babbling onto things that weren't really there and when he was sleeping he would wake up crying for no reason. He wasn't much of a cryer before this started to happen. Emily and Itsuya discussed this over many nights and decided to observe their sons behaviour a little more closely before they consulted a psychiatrist about his unusal actions.
The situation didn't get better (His parents were hoping it was just a child innocence thing and were expecting it to die down) it got worse. It got to the point where he would be screaming and hiding from things although he couldn't see them he could still hear their pleads and threatening remarks about where he was. Also during those years, Emily had gotten pregnant again which was born just after Rai turned six. Rai had a little baby sister who was called Suri. Unlike Rai, she did not recieve her father's surname, she was called Suri Bell. Upon having a baby sister to think about, Rai's situation seemed to get slightly better as he had something else to worry about besides the awful noises he heard.
However, just to be safe his parents finally decided to take him to seek some private counselling and some answers, too. When they took him they placed Rai on the floor so he could play with the childrens toys while his parents spoke to the psychiatrist about Rai's issues. The man noted everything down and sat for a moment or two while he processed it all. But, just as he was about to speak he heard Rai talking, he was talking to something that wasn't even beside him. He was still playing with the toys so his question about seeing ghosts was answered so he obviously could just hear them.
The psychitrist could only suggest they keep an eye on him and start asking him questions about what he was talking to and what they were saying etc. Also, he requested that Rai visit him once a week so he could have one on one chats with the boy to see if he could get some more deeper answers about how Rai actually felt about the situation. He also gave his parents a brochure, it explained a school called the T'zenshin Institute for gifted children. He suggested that if his issues did not progress for the better that he should be sent there for more help when he was about to enter seventh grade.
And, of course, the situation did not progress for the better, it just kept getting worse and worse to the point where he could hear what his mother was saying at her work and what her father was saying at his work. So, when he hit seventh grade he was sent to the T'zenshin Institute. His mother was a little hesitant about it though, since he was going on his own and would not have them to support him. He promised to e-mail them and that, though.
His years at T'zenshin were smooth and he only just barely got by with grades of B minuses and sometimes even a C+. Part of the reason was because he could get so distracted from what other people were talking about, whispering about and the god damned spirits lurking around at his every turn. Sometimes he wished he could smack them over and tell them to go away.
In the tenth grade he decided to join up with Student Freedom Force (SFF for short) because he agreed more with them than he did with the Student Council. He had never liked order and authority especially since the President was a student as well. He applied and was accepted as he could prove to be quite useful even with his clueless and goofy attitude on life.
He is now in eleventh grade his Clairaudience is annoying him to no end and is getting even larger limits as he grows older. Most people can just hear certain things but Rai's is pretty full on. However, to make up for all the mess he puts on a happy, clueless attitude that he likes.
Secrets: None. Well, actually, he pretty much knows everyone's secrets that they tell people since he can hear them. So that counts.
Gift: Rai is a 'Clairaudient'. Which literally means, 'Clear Hearing'. Basically, he can hear things beyond the human ear, which usually consists of ghosts, spirits etc. Also, his hearing extends to quite a length. However, at the moment, he is only able to hear things from quite a distance (Say... about 100km) from people he is close to or feels close to. He cannot see who is saying it but he can hear their voice inside of his head, so he would have to get pretty familiar with people's voices. In his younger years it gave him quite a bit of traumatic experiences which he tries to cover up with a bubbly goofy attitude.

It looks good to me. I got a bit confused when reading the history about his ability, but you cleared it up in his gifts, so there ia no real problem there. Everything checks out pretty well.
Appearance hits all major points and even some minor points. Personality is good in length and explains enough. I love the fish. The history is good and though it does skip some years here and there, it gives enough vital information that it's alright if it does so.
